I appreciate that JK Rowling pays mind to the aspect that leadership (who the Minister of Magic is, for example) has such a critical impact on the way these professionals do their jobs. If the Minister insulists on dark magic methods, and does so out of fear and having run out of the ability to process and think of other solutions, then it becomes a darker time indeed. I'm torn between the "at any cost to stop the evil" and not fighting fire with fire. These are definitely real-world issues our own leaders and their extensions (like police and the military) live through daily. What a rich and wonderful world she thought of! Not perfect itself, just like ours. Relatable and magical! Just, wow!
Could James Bond have been a wizard? I think a wizard would make a great secret agent, using magic to acquire State secrets, and perhaps even a memory charm here and there to get other to forget them.
John Dawlish was under the imperious curse while Pius Thicknesse was minister he didn't willingly serve. When Harry Ron and Hermione were camping they overheard Ted Tonks, Dirk Cresswell, Dean Thomas, Griphook and Gornuk who were also camping in the same Forrest trying to hide from snatchers. Ted Tonks asks Dirk Cresswell how he escaped azkaban, dirk confirms ue escaped while dawlish was transporting him and says he thought dawlish was confunded or under the imperious curse and wawnt himself or as quick as usual and this was the only reason he escaped.
@@edsr164 thanks for confirming that! I knew he was either confunded or under the imperious curse but couldn't remember which one. I knew for a fact though Dawlish never willingly served like this video said. Again, thanks for confirming he was confunded, much appreciated!
I think it's because the Auror's have to function within guidelines of conduct and what is acceptable means of fighting them. Much like our own police have to maintain a code of conduct and have to show that it is warranted (when they use deadly force).
Great Video❤

Honorable mentions to Frank and Alice Longbottom, Harry Potter and Dumbledore as strong aurors!

There are so many things wrong with this video: Dawlish didn’t fight at the Battle of Hogwarts, and Protego Diabolica is not Fyend Fire.
Protego diabolica isn't fiend fire.
Then why do the bad guys always make them look like they are weak and can't fight?
