This scene here is a prime example of how the,most of the time, most happiest people in the room are the ones fighting their own battles. When Willow finally broke down and said she misses her dads is when I lost it. She was trying to put up a front for everyone especially Gus(since he’s the youngest) because she didn’t want everyone to worry about her and focus in the mission. The same goes for Hunter, he’s been bottling up anger and sadness that he was basically taking it out on everyone and everything when in reality he really just missed flapjack and was scared. It goes to show not everyone “is fine” and that we should look out for everyone once in a while. im at work and trying to figure out where these views came from ty lmfao😭🫶🏽💜
It also shows how the people around you, who care about you, can only do so much. It's only when Hunter expresses how much his friends mean to him and indirectly is afraid he might lose them the same way as flapjack does he reaches Willow. At her most stressed, her fears manifest as strong thick vines, which starts to suffocate and constrict Gus and Hunter. Her vines are so tough, strong and endless. It could protect the people she is scared of losing, but it can also hurt them. And it's only until Willow finally admits how scared she is, how she misses her dads, does her tight hold on her emotions find an healthy outlet. And they can only heal and grow by expressing their needs, and ofc, they can support each other. They all become reliable. :')

I hate the fact that this scene is giving Willow so much Hate. Outside of the Huntlow, people are disliking her breakdown, calling her a crybaby. That really boils my blood because she's freaking 15 and hasn't seen both her loving Dads in MONTHS! She has every right to breakdown, and what I love about this scene is that both Hunter and Gus know that she's strong, but they tell her that it's okay to cry it out, and they're also telling her that they won't see her as any less strong. It's really beautiful in my opinion actually.

I love how The Owl House is dealing with grief and trauma in a realistic way. It also highlights how unhealthy it is not to ask others for help when help is clearly needed. I’m really going to miss this masterpiece once it’s over.😭😭😭
This is something I enjoy with recent shows like this one or Steven Universe Future (most of it is crap but the PTSD part was well done), in so many kids or teenagers shows characters go through some horrible stuff, almost die and they don't seem affected a lot by this, while kids or teenagers going through these kinds of events would come out with trauma and pretty messed up normally.
I have a friend like Willow. He’s always really supportive and always brings happiness to all our friends. Unfortunately, his grandma got very sick and he didn’t know if she was going to make it. He kept trying to be supportive to me and everyone else, but whenever someone asked if he needed help, he always said he “was fine”. One day, me and a few of our friends came to him and told him that we always relied on him, but now was the time for him to rely on us. I kid you not, he started sobbing and fell to the floor on his knees. We all gave him a hug and told him we were gonna be there for him, and that we’d do everything we could to help. Thankfully his grandma got better, and he thanked us all for being there for him. All I’m trying to say is, be there for your friends, especially the ones who are always there for you.

Also when i watch this episode. I taught this was the first time she confirmed hers dads but actually it was in season2 Episode18 where she met gus and told him about her dads.
I recall the fan idea that her magic goes out of control when she's happy in the form of flowers blooming in her hair. This seems to be the flipside of that.
Oh that comic was so cute! Honestly between this episode in particular and all the fan works, Huntlow is really starting to rival Lumity. Didn't think I'd ever say that.

I already knew that Willow was sad and worried from the start of the episode, if you look closely, Willow has that extra sparkle in her eye and a sadder voice. The sparkle in her eye represents her holding back her tears.
This was great writing-wise and the setting is so epic but I feel like she deserved to cry more. She is absolutely having a rough time for the whole day then crying a little bit cures it? She should be allowed to scream out, tears bursting down her face, for like, at least 10 seconds, and she shouldn't just be suddenly completely OK afterwards even if impressed by Hunter's new power.
Sadly you can only do so much with what you are given as a show creator whose show is being forced to end so soon. If Dana had it their way Willow would've been allowed to cry a bit longer to let her feelings out.

Willow is the perfect combo of being sweet as sunshine and tough as nails and if anyone ever calls her Half a Witch Willow again, I’ll go through the new portal to the Demon Realm , hunt them down, and make them wish the animators never drew them.
While watching this, it honestly made me even more irritated with Disney’s decision regarding this show. I can’t help but to think about how much more we could’ve got and in depth of this show if this season simply wasn’t all smooshed into 3 episodes. Dana and her team are crazily talented😮💨 and I must say, it’s amazing how well they’ve been pulling that off. But I genuinely wish they’d stop doing this to their shows.

Belos did the same thing and so many are finally seeing that emotions shouldn't be stigmatized and that being the reliable one often means betraying yourself. I'm also seeing the extreme end. Really says why so many won't get anything done. Willow was still needed in the final battle and they had the cavern to get out of alive so Willow still needed to wait if she needed to express more emotion.
It's not often that any show or movie actually brings a genuine tear to my eye. Some have gotten close and definitely gotten to me. But as someone who has spent his whole life being the strong one and carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, this made the tears flow

Much like how Del Clawthorne allows me to hear my fathers' voice again, seein Willow break down and just let it all out holds a special place in my heart because, well, I'm very much in the same boat as her; I'm the beacon of joy and happiness in MANY of those who knows me lives, I'm suppost to be the helping hand to whoever needs help, I'm suppost to be there for everyone when they need help, I'm suppost to be the happy go lucky morally upright person in the group, the role model for people to look up too, how can I let everyone down when I break? Plus I'm dealing with similar issues that Luz has, including a dead dad; so seeing these characters have that moment where they feel safe enough to be vulnerable means a lot to me cause I might never get that in my life, I need an external force to finally get me to buckle down under the impossible weight of everything I've been through, so I'm happy that someone, even if they are fake, had the moment and finally felt at peace.
A person like willow who has everybody’s issues on her shoulders .. it’s just really sad. And the episode where Luz’s mom asked willow if she was alright.. that’s when you could really tell willow takes other peoples thoughts so seriously.. but a person like me whose been a friendapist (that’s what I call a friend and therapist) I feel the same way too and whenever I tell my friends my problems they just overlap with things they wanna talk about..

I loved the concept of this scene. It was bittersweet how Willow and Hunter got to open up about their pain and how much Willow meant to Hunter and the group. Unfortunately the execution suffered like a lot of the side plots in this episode due to being crammed into such a small timeframe. I wish this whole scene could have gotten it's own episode because it certainly deserved it.

I can’t help but to think about how much more we could’ve got and in depth of this show if this season simply wasn’t all smooshed into 3 episodes. Dana and her team are crazily talented😮💨 and I must say, it’s amazing how well they’ve been pulling that off. But I genuinely wish they’d stop doing this to their shows.

As a huge Willow fan… I felt so bad for poor Willow….
Belos did the same thing and so many are finally seeing that emotions shouldn't be stigmatized and that being the reliable one often means betraying yourself.
I'm also seeing the extreme end. Really says why so many won't get anything done. Willow was still needed in the final battle and they had the cavern to get out of alive so Willow still needed to wait if she needed to express more emotion.
It's not often that any show or movie actually brings a genuine tear to my eye. Some have gotten close and definitely gotten to me. But as someone who has spent his whole life being the strong one and carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, this made the tears flow

( like willow , I bottle up my true emotions and thoughts . just so others won't have worry about me. my parents fight. so, I've become ... traumatised from the yelling and the conflict. and I HATE loud noises and fighting at the same time! sooooo..
but unlike her.. even though I have a few in my life who care about me, I still feel SO Lonely. :( I've been searching for YEARS to find love. but..on a few times I tried? I got shut down! or denied. and at times.. I wonder if I'm truly worthy enough or even ready to find that someone Who TRULY cares about me. )

Much like how Del Clawthorne allows me to hear my fathers' voice again, seein Willow break down and just let it all out holds a special place in my heart because, well, I'm very much in the same boat as her; I'm the beacon of joy and happiness in MANY of those who knows me lives, I'm suppost to be the helping hand to whoever needs help, I'm suppost to be there for everyone when they need help, I'm suppost to be the happy go lucky morally upright person in the group, the role model for people to look up too, how can I let everyone down when I break? Plus I'm dealing with similar issues that Luz has, including a dead dad; so seeing these characters have that moment where they feel safe enough to be vulnerable means a lot to me cause I might never get that in my life, I need an external force to finally get me to buckle down under the impossible weight of everything I've been through, so I'm happy that someone, even if they are fake, had the moment and finally felt at peace.
A person like willow who has everybody’s issues on her shoulders .. it’s just really sad. And the episode where Luz’s mom asked willow if she was alright.. that’s when you could really tell willow takes other peoples thoughts so seriously..
but a person like me whose been a friendapist (that’s what I call a friend and therapist) I feel the same way too and whenever I tell my friends my problems they just overlap with things they wanna talk about..
this made me feel so bad for willow when I saw the episode the other day.

I loved the concept of this scene. It was bittersweet how Willow and Hunter got to open up about their pain and how much Willow meant to Hunter and the group. Unfortunately the execution suffered like a lot of the side plots in this episode due to being crammed into such a small timeframe. I wish this whole scene could have gotten it's own episode because it certainly deserved it.
And this why we hate Disney this really could have been it own episode ☹️
