After watching all available Canon footage regarding these cameras i came to the conclusion that autofocus does not appear to be on par with the Sony offering. Since we are not talking about a cheap camera here thats a pill to swallow. The canon foto af is a different story. People would move systems if the offering is truly compelling. Compelling could be a real sticky video af that leapfrogs or at least matches competition comparable to what r1 offers for foto. Also a 6k full frame DGO with 1 stop better DR compared to C70 would make people consider to switch systems. It could be that Canon delivered just enough to keep customers from leaving, appeal to some, but is this offering compelling enough for production companies who already use Fx3/6/Burano workflows to switch systems?

Another great episode guys, love hearing perspectives that are more information based. Keeps my brain fresh!
Why would BM give an okay to this Nexus G1? Isn't this gonna take customers away from Pyxis??
Because open ecosystems matter and the sensor size is different.
