- A head-to-head of two incredible amps. All though they sound similar in this recording. The two rock is far more balanced and dynamic than the Fender, the sheer amount of bass and depth the amp has is second to none.
Gear used:
Fender American Original 60s Strat
Elixir Nanoweb
Dunlop 0.88mm
Pedals:
Nordvang Gravity for Belief
Strymon Flint (v1) Reverb for Deluxe
Amp:
Two-Rock Traditional Clean 100W (bass switch up)
Fender Deluxe Reverb 22W (normal channel input 1)
Two rock takes the belief one too.. it’s so powerful but not harsh at all… amazing playing too btw!!
Run them through the same speaker/cab, if you’re not (at least for any type of comparison). And comparing a 100W amp with big iron to a smaller 20W amp is a bit tough.. all good, just not a level playing field there.
Yeah I understand that. Just showing that a deluxe is more than capable of getting great tones. Not many people will run a deluxe through a 100w rated 2x12. Both amps are special and have their place. Hence why I still have both!
Well shit…. The first tone of Lenny sealed the deal for me. Traditional clean it is..100 watt?
@@jamwithjason3112 sure is!
Two Rock sounds thicker
@@klonthrudumble6251 there is a lot more depth to the notes that come out of the two rock.
@@SomeStratGuy that’s a good way to put it!
But, the slow dancing sounds better on deluxe reverb…
@@jamwithjason3112 the deluxe has the extra brightness to it which helps. The two rock has the bass switch on which reduces the high end a little.
The studio version of the song was recorded through a Deluxe Reverb on middle pickup on Strat supposedly.
A melhor versão é do live where the light is
@@LucasOliveira-hp9ri Agreed but the live on letterman version isn’t far off. Very clean
Deluxe all the way no hate
I get what you’re saying. But in the room the two rock is unbeatable. I find the deluxe can be hard to tame and a bit pokey. The two rock is always rounded and balanced!
