I'm no expert on the 800 series, but on the 7/900 Volvos a wet driver side floor is usually caused by a leaking heater core or clogged sunroof drains. Worth looking over while the interior is out
My wife has learned not to ask “how long will it take?” Two frozen rear pistons, rusted brake lines and a frozen rotor turned into a marathon from hell yesterday.
The reflective square on the insulation noise deading is to stop the exhaust heat coming thru to the carpet! Mine on my saloon is twice the size of yours too. Due to heater matrix failure mine was very wet underneath too. I have had to dye the carpet one piece too, before putting back in due to this and age.
I really enjoy your videos! 😄 I’m also restoring a Volvo 850. I came a cross the same problem with wet sound insulation on the drivers side, the leakage came from the heater core inside the dash. I do recommend checking that one out since the car have been sitting idle for so long and the excess to it is relatively easy with the interior taken out. The insulation I had to replace.. I had it for weeks hanging to dry and it did stink like 10 wet dog and was still moist in the end😂
It is an incredible challenge to remove the dashboard just to remove the insulation. For the issue you discovered, you did the right thing by cutting out the affected section and then hanging it out to dry. The silver package is a packet of Pop-Tarts - an emergency food source if you are stranded. JK LOL.
Hm, I checked the playlist and the end screens but they seem to be configured correctly. If it's not to much to ask, could you be a little more specific? Thanks in advance!
I'm amazed how you guys didn't end up braking a single trim piece!
Yeah, guess the old plastic gods were on our side that day😅

Thanks for the heads up! Our Volvo has no sunroof but we'll definitely look into a possible leak on the heater core.
Really a creativity of my peace for you because it is a very good work continue because I follow you from the city of Basra in Iraq
We are happy you like it! Thank you!

Aha! Thank you very much for your explanation!
And we will check the heater core as that may be the issue of the wet insulation.

The insulation does smell like old wet dogs so it is definitely a possibillity the heater core is leaking. We will look into it, thanks!

Hahaha that makes sense🤪
Water leak from heater system ?
Thanks for that, we'll definitely take a good look at it!😃
How many clips did you break while removing the interior plastics? I'm betting at least a few :)
Haha, we lost count 😅
Why are the videos not in sequence?
