Ahh!!! Yay! Eee! Toadling! I knew you would enjoy her character. I'm surprised you hadn't heard of Five Little Indians. I was taking a risk with that one. Woohoo!! Historical fantasy for the win! I am pretty sure it is a standalone. H.G. Parry does a lot of standalones. Thank you for reading my recs! I'm glad you had fun. 🥰
I believe 5 Little Indians is now a suggested book for study in Grade 11 here in Ontario. My youngest had to read it 3 years ago. I read it along with him. I think it was a bit much for 16 year olds. A good read though to have other Canadians appreciate/ better understand the trauma that residential schools did to generations of aboriginal children and adults.
How fun! I was hoping you'd decide to do this video and I'm glad it went so well! I haven't read Thornhedge yet, but I've really enjoyed all the T. Kingfisher I've read so far.
First of all, congratulations on 11K subscribers 🎉🎉🎉🎉 If you liked The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door, you will enjoy Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater. It is a romance, but it has faerie and magical elements.
❤📚📚❤️ I loved Toadling. I'm glad you enjoyed the book! Warrior of the Wild on my December tbr. I'm looking forward to it. The last two books are now on my radar. Thanks.
🏰I read Tricia Levenseller’s duology entitled Bladesmith #1 and #2. It is about two sisters who make swords. They were fantastic. I need to try more of Levenseller’s work.
🏰 She really did good with the recommendations. The three fantasy books sound amazing to me! Could you tell me any content warnings? Excessive swearing or spice level?
I had Five Little Indians on my TBR while I was doing reading through Canada. But I just think I could stomach it. Maybe in 2025. I’m interested in the subject.
@@mollyalladin2431 Krista read Five Little Indians. You mentioned Ten Little Indians, which is an Agatha Christie novel. From Krista’s description, they are very different books. 😉

It was a good risk. You did so well! And I'm interested in reading more from a few of these authors too. So fun!
Definitely added The Scholar and The Last Faerie Door, Thornhedge, and Warrior of the Wild to my TBR!! 🏰
Added The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door. Sounds fun!
Sweet! I hope you enjoy it if you read it.

I read Thorn Hedge earlier this year and loved it! these were great book recs!

I was thrilled that it went so well. I would be willing to try more T. Kingfisher.
Sounds like really great books. I was just looking for a fairy tale retelling for a reading challenge prompt. Thornhedge sounds perfect!! 😊
I love that you did this video! I'm glad you enjoyed your reads!
I'm so glad too! Was not sure how it would turn out.

All four books are now added to me TBR. Thank you, Krista.
Sweet! Glad they all sound good to you.
🏰 what a fun video! It’s fun to like what others recommend.
Yes! I was pleasantly surprised.
🏰 Enjoy watching your book reviews!
Look at Krista becoming a fantasy reader!
haha. I do like fantasy, I just don't read it as often as other things.
❤📚📚❤️

Cheers to Danni! 😊
She did so good!
🏰I want to read Thornhedge - I have read some other books by her and enjoyed them. I will look for the Scholar and the Fairy Door too.
Such a good list! 🏰
Fun video! 🏰

She did great! There was no spice in any of the fantasy ones and minimal swearing. Nothing that stood out to me.
Thanks!
I really enjoyed T. Kingfisher’s book ‘A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking’. It was cozy and fun but had some depth too.
Oh, a T. Kingfisher novella! That's an author i would like to try. I'm going to give that one a go.
I would be interested in trying more from T. Kingfisher, especially if they're in the same vein as Thornhedge.
I have Five Little Indians on my shelf. It is set near where I live and it makes me nervous...it's fiction, but, I think, very real :(
Added Warrior to my list!
I hope you like it!

Yeah, it was hard in places. Very good though.
Not much to say other than it was cool watching the Battle of the Booktubers. Have a great day!
Thanks for watching, Jennifer.
I have heard of Ten Little Indians and it really interests me. Maybe for 2025.
It is a good one, but very serious and hard at times.
