I should reread the Nightingale one of these days. I know I loved it when I erad it years ago. I hope I like Midnight Library as much as many of you did!
How fun! I definitely added a few to my list from this video! And I still have both Night and The Nightingale, both of which I've owned for years, that I haven't read! Ooops. My favorite book with "night" in the title remains The Night Circus, but I read a translated middle grade this year called The Night Raven and found it delightful! It's a historical mystery and I highly recommend it!
Yes! I enjoyed the Night Circus too. I don't think I own a copy of that one anymore, but I did enjoy it. I have The Night Raven on my kindle. It looks good. Thanks for the rec. I'll try to get to that one sooner rather than later. haha. Maybe.
@@BooksAndJams I don't even remember what led me to pick up The Night Raven in the first place, but it ended up being a "perfect book for the perfect time" kind of situation for me. I hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
The Midnight Children sounds so good! Normally YA/middle grade books don't work for me unless it's an amazing plot. I may add this one OR wait for your review 😊
The Night We Burned sounds like a Michele book!! Very curious about that one, the CS Lewis, and the Midnight Children. I’ve got The Nightingale to read, but I’ve learned I need to space out my Kristin Hannah. 🌖
As always, your deep dive into topics like this makes me want to check my own list. My Goodreads shows 6 that I've read (including Amari and the Night Brothers, which you've read too, right?) and 20 unread! 20! Yikes that's a lot! I haven't read Midnight Library either - I'd be happy to buddy read it with you any time. It's so fun to watch these and then follow your lead to explore my own books.
Of course...Amari! That's a fun series. And Nightfall from Keeper of the Lost Cities could have counted too! I love that these videos make you look at your own shelves a bit too. It's fun to look at our books in different ways.
I read The Midnight Library earlier this year and really enjoyed it (4 stars). I was invested in Nora’s journey and found myself reflecting on what lives I would choose to visit if I was in her shoes. I teared up a bit a couple of times also. I hope you get to this soon and curious to see what you think. 😊
Good morning! I gave The Midnight Children 3.5 stars. I thought it was going to be a paranormal story. But it was a thriller and it gave me anxiety. According to my review, I skipped to the ending and loved the way it turned out. If you enjoy thrillers, this probably is a good Krista book. I love Jennifer Robson’s writing. I’ve read The Gown and Goodnight From London. I gave both of them 4 stars. Thank you for reminding me to add her to my favorite author list. I’ve been spending my November reading a bunch of historical fiction and non-fiction. But I’ve hit my limit. Diamond Eye just broke my war tolerance. An excellent story, but I need something different. My library/Libby finally sent me an Indigenous book titled This Land is Their Land. I doubt it is light as fluffy, but I’ve been waiting for this most of 2024. Happy Tuesday!
Sounds like you need a cozy break from all the heavier reads. I am eager to read more from Robson. I think The Gown is the only one I've read. I hope I like these two.
❤📚📚❤️ I love this miniseries. I own Sisters of Night and Fog. It sounds so good. I loved The Midnight Library! Night Road by Kristin Hannah is good, too.
I unhauled all my contemporary KHannah books earlier this year. I just had too many others I wanted to read more. I am glad you're enjoying this series.
I loved Night Road by Kristin Hannah. I read it years ago but I still remember it. Not a historical like Nightingale. It's more of a YA feel. I also loved Night Swim by Megan Goldin and Mother-Daughter Murder Night.
I remember people talking about Night Swim. I'm not a thriller reader in general. I'm not familiar with Mother-Daughter Murder Night. That sounds like it could be a fun one!
Good morning! Good Night Mr. Tom was a 5 ⭐️ for me (heavy at times). What the Night Sings was a 4⭐️. It had one of the most beautiful and, at the same time, saddest lines I’ve read. I’m rereading The Nightingale in 2025. Thanks for your shelf spotlight series.
Good morning to you too! I am especially glad to hear you enjoyed What the Night Sings since that is one I've never heard talked about. I'm eager to pick it up one of these days. haha.
You might want to add The Night Shift by Natalka Burian . I'm reading it right now. It's a time travel, mystery. It starts out slow and I almost stopped reading it but kept going and I'm so glad I did.
I put a couple of these on my Goodreads that want to read. I would love to see a video of different books about the children that were sent out of London.
Hey, Krista, I love your vídeos with the word recommendations. I don't think that the book, Midnight at Bright Ideas Bookstore is a Krista book, I can’t say much because it is spoiler for other readers that want to read the book.
Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore shouldn't have been a book I enjoyed. However, the writing was so good. But it is very heavy and I cried reading this book. There are some trigger warnings that I would look at before reading. This is not a book I would pick up but it was suggested by my son and he knows my reading taste very well.
I do not think Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore is a Krista book, it is not a good book at all. Goodnight Mr. Tom, on the other hand, is definitely a Krista book 🤗 🌙
Love the Nightinggale, one of my favorites. Read The Midnight Library. It makes you think! Hope you enjoy it.
I should reread the Nightingale one of these days. I know I loved it when I erad it years ago. I hope I like Midnight Library as much as many of you did!
Our darkest night sounds great!!
It does! I would love to read more Ryan books in the new year.
Keep them all!🌛
Haha. I plan on it. Might try the first chapter of the Bright Ideas one, but that's the only one I'm not eager to read.
Hey, Krista! What a fun shelf spotlight idea! "Night" is also a very common title word in my owned books. ✨🌛
I had fun seeing how many I actually had!
Sisters of the Night and Fog is phenomenal! Loved it!
I am so glad to hear that.
I loved Our Darkest Night, would definitely recommend it.
I'm glad to hear that. I hope to read more of her books next year.
Sweet. I definitely would love to get to that one.
You always tempt us with such interesting books. 🙂 🌛
Mission accomplished! Woohoo!
Love some of those titles!
I am hopeful that most of them are really good books!
The Nightingale was the 2nd book I read by Kristen Hannah. Absolutely LOVED it! Definite re-read for me. Thanks Krista. 🤗
I would be interested in a Nightingale reread. It's been quite a few years since I've read it.

The Midnight Library was good. Very thought provoking.
I need to prioritize that one.
The Midnight Library is sooo good! I think you'll love it. Thanks for the great video! :)
Thanks. I definitely plan on reading that one sooner rather than later.
📚📖
So many good options! 🎑
RIght...now when to find the time to read them all. Good gracious! haha
😊😊😊
The Midnight Children sounds so good! Normally YA/middle grade books don't work for me unless it's an amazing plot. I may add this one OR wait for your review 😊
It does sound intriguing. Gives me Among the Hidden vibes. That’s a great series by Margaret Peterson Haddix
🌙 great video idea, love the shelf spotlights!!❤ 🌙
Thanks so much! I have a few left in this titles series. Then I'll have to switch gears. It's fun to look at my shelf in different ways.
I read The Midnight Library a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I have The Night Circus on my TBR - hope to get to that one in 2025
I really liked The Night Circus.
The Night Circus is a good one...so atmospheric. Glad to hear you liked Midnight Library
Fun video! I'm going to have to try this. 🌛
It's fun to see different connections in the books on your shelves.
I always love your videos!! 🌜
I'm so glad! Thanks!
I want to read them all now!
Haha. Right? Reader problems. haha.
A great video! You gave me several recommendations. Thank you!!
Thanks, Sherry. I hope we both love them!
Really enjoyed The Midnight Library, have read it twice. 😊
I hope I like it. It's been so hyped. We'll see I guess.
Good video, found a few to place on my tbr!🌗
Fun! Always glad to add to your lists.
I really enjoyed this little miniseries you're doing.🌃
Thanks! I'm so glad!

Hi Krista I know you don't like animals for yourself but true story set in library Dewey found in the book slot on a freezing morning. So good
❤
Sounds good. What is the name of the book?
Dewey True story. There also a part two but if not want one is enough
Enjoy.

I’ve read Our Darkest Night a few years ago and really liked it. I think I even put it in a cup once or twice.
Haha. You probably did. Maybe I'll pick it out for December.

Nice. I will make that a priority for 2025.

@BooksAndJams Thank you! I can't wait for the next one.
I loved Good Night, Mr. Tom. I’ve read it at least 3 times
I have heard many say the loved it. I am sure I will too.
🌛😊
I have the midnight library on my TBR and I’m scared of it 😂
Maybe we need to buddy read it in the new year?!?
@ yes please!!!

🌙 I have quite a few books that I need to remove stickers and library covers from. Adding that to my 2025 goals! 😂
I think I may stack them up and make it a video! haha. Always on the hunt for content.

Winter or snow . Enjoy your video
Ooo good word. I don't think I'd have too many.
🌝🌙
🌝
Great video have you ever done an a-z reading challenge? I am thinking of doing this next year 😊
I have tried, but have never actually completed one in a year.
🌙🌙🌙
I've read The Midnight Children by Dan G. I enjoyed it. Not as well as Coyote Sunrise which to me should become a classic. But I enjoyed it.
Have you read the sequel to Coyote Sunrise? I have heard it doesn't quite live up to the first, but some have really liked that one too.
@ I have read it. Fun. Worth the read but not as good as the first.

I put a couple of these on my Goodreads that want to read. I would love to see a video of different books about the children that were sent out of London.
I should start a list. There are quite a few!
That would be great. I absolutely love books with kids/teenagers in them.
Just read Night and Nightingale. So many of these look good.
🌙 🌖
I read the midnight at the book store one a few years ago and do not remember a whole lot about it.
That's me with most books I read! It has to be something different or special for me to remember it.
😅 🌙🌙
I have Sisters of the Night and Fog, but haven't read it yet. I think I picked it up for free when Penquin did their point system for a free book.
I have heard Sisters of Night and Fog is a good one.

Hi friend. Good to know about Bright Ideas Bookstore. I may set that aside for a try-a-chapter unhaul.
I really appreciate your feedback. I can't remember hearing much about it. Thanks!
Hey Krista
Hi Beth.
Hi Krista. I read Night in high school and reread as an adult. Very poignant.
For sure! It was a very moving memoir.
5:53 Do you have WD40 in the USA? That will get the sticker off!
We do. That's a good idea. Thanks!
I do not think Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore is a Krista book, it is not a good book at all. Goodnight Mr. Tom, on the other hand, is definitely a Krista book 🤗 🌙
Good to know. I think I will just try the first chapter of the Bright Ideas one. I'm setting it aside for possible unhaul.
