Enjoyed your video.. Thanks 4 being brave enough to do this 4 this being your 1st time.. I've done this twice but had a cummins certified guru standing beside me the entire time.. I'll do it on my own once I feel confident in myself ..
great vid I always clean out the jake mount bolt holes any oil in the hole can cause threads to strip when you torque them not every time but belive me one is enough I use simple long cotton swabs they soak up excess oil well. and some times when its hard to get the wrench on the locknut just rotate the crank a little so the angle is flush to the head
On my wife's account. But always check the valve lash after you tighten them. Even holding it in place they move. If the lash is set too tight your cam lobs and push tubes will suffer. Likewise if it's too lose your valves won't open correctly. Lastly the cylinders rotate on the crank in pairs. So when 1 is at top dead center 6 will also be a TDC just on different phase, one on combustion and one on begining of intake. So A will either be 1 or 6 just past TDC you have to check the rockers to see which is on combustion and which is intake. I just finished a N14 at a tech school. Thought this might help !
Be sure to rotate the engine two full turns manually before attempting to start the engine to ensure that your adjustments will not cause valve to piston interference
Good video man, when I worked at Cummins they said to spray the injector plunger with wd40 to dissolve the varnish ring. Since it will now be going back into the body
nice video bro is it the same for m11 celect plus if yes can u send me the ajdustment for valve and injectors plz i have an issue with my injectors and no one here in the midlle east know s the right adjustment ty bro
Try quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html , register for free, enter you engine serial number and you should find everything you need in there. Issued by Cummins. That’s where I found mine. Good luck
This how I did mine. Some other RUclips video the guy turns the injector adjusting bolt with his fingers and backs it out two flats. Using only his fingers no wrench. . I don't think he is right.
it shouldn’t be much more than 50ft lbs (unless the last guy REALLY jammed it down tight) .it’ll probably take a little strength but it shouldn’t take that much.
It is normal to hear the oil returning to the pan. If this is the water sound you mention then yes! It’s normal. If it’s a different sound you’re referring to, I might need a little more info 🤔

Ten4! Probably didn’t have all the wrench’s at the time. I struggle watching this video now lol by the time I got to the next few cylinders I was way more comfortable. But there where no good videos up at the time! Not even for reference
The best video yet I have found on internet. Add in title "celect plus injector valve adjustment" so it would be easier to find. Thanks for video!

Thanks! It would of sure helped to have the guru besides me. But I had the Cummins quickserve procedure which helped a lot.
I’m glad to see somebody does it themselves but use the right tools I can’t watch the rest of this video!

thanks! when A is at one, it'll have loose rockers that will slide back and forth right?
@@andrews_method yeah pretty much because one set of valves will be on overlap so both intake and exhaust will be loose
Be sure to rotate the engine two full turns manually before attempting to start the engine to ensure that your adjustments will not cause valve to piston interference
Mighty fine job ! I'm about to attempt mine tomorrow
Good luck.

Yeah i don't know about that! I guess as long as the 2 flats can be measured🤷♂️
But at Lease you did it yourself sorry if I sounded super critical and you did a good job !
NICE work! Appreciate you doing this video, definitely going to help me save $$$$$
Great video man super helpful

Is there any way to get ahold of the person who made this video. 🤔
What can i do for you👍
How hard was it to break the injector adjusting bolts locking but? I’m doing my for the first time and having trouble breaking the locking but free

Awesome video!!!
Is it normal to hear water running when you shut off your engine

What are you doing! You don’t use a crescent wrench ever!

😮
You don’t bottom out the injector to get the fuel out!
Bet this didn’t run. You left out so much information and did so many things wrong.
Actually it ran but made a thud
Cats a lot easier.
