Penny Budget I know from experience that break in process WILL absolutely govern how your engine performs. You beat the shit out of it 2nd tank. Just because the engine doesn’t blow up at that point doesn’t mean you haven’t just shortened the life of the engine, just caused your mileage to drop, just dropped the actual torque and power capability down by a pretty good margin. After owning many nitro engines of all the same model and breaking them in properly after wearing out the first few. Once I started breaking them in I got way better consistency in tuning temperature and performance. To add to that I started getting twice as much life out of them. I’m talking 20 gallons of fuel as opposed to less than 10 gallons. Breaking it in properly actually doubles the life of your piston and sleeve and sometimes crank. I’ve proven it to myself over and over. Adam you are a great ambassador to our sport and the most trusted person when it comes to nitro engines. I haven’t caught you in a fib yet🙂

I finished the break-in process with the same 30% nitro fuel from Flash Point that I use for racing.
