Hey Adam been following your career since you were a kid(and I was a kid!) Always been impressed by everything you do, fav pro driver for sure 👍 question: do you think the nitro pro buggy/truggy class is still the top class at the highest level or has electric taken over and a side question: are you still finding there is a demand for your break-in service with nitro being what it is today, or are you noticing a resurgence? Thx man! Nitro will never die in my world!Best wishes to you and your family.
Hi Adam, can you make a video about different nitro percentages, especially focussing on switching between them mid-season? Also stuff to look out for, adjustments that might not be as obvious like the glowplug and headspacing. The sad truth is that it won't be possible to buy fuel with more than 16% nitro (if they correct the math error) or about 13% (if they don't) in the EU after January, so sooner or later a video like this will be in high demand from your European audience. Thanks a lot and keep up the great work, I very much appreciate what you're doing for the hobby.
@@THEDnARACER yeah i found a website where it was pointed that you need a license. What exactly do you mean by easy to obtain? Like how hard is it or what are the requirements
@@f0urty758 Here's EFRA's statement to the matter www.efra.ws/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/EFRA-fuel-Letter-20201106.pdf If you want the actual legal text search for EU Regulation 2019/1148. Awesome process man! I hope to use your break in when I get a racing nitro platform and engine. Love the video! Lots of good information on what you are doing!
It's the same as breaking in any other .21 engine. We recommend using our Drake In service or you can do it the old fashion way. www.thedrakeracing.com
Now we need to build a Nitro Engine Dyno so we can measure "peak HP", and calculate a curve for HP / total gallons of fuel run... Esp as it relates to when a motor has "peaked".
@@rchopup2639 Lots of dynos out there for RC engines, but it's not possible to make a prediction as fuel, tuning, environment etc will have a massive impact on how long it will last.
Hi! I want to break in my new engine, os xr-b viii. Can you tell me or put a link to the right step? Thanks I have clutch from my old engine( vzb spec) with three shoes. Can i use the same with 3 shoes? OS in manual suggests with four shoes

I'm shocked my name wasn't mentioned in this video. I am kinda a big deal. lol On a serious note, you have broken in 3 of my engines so far and all three have been amazing. Saves time and fuel.
Your welcome. 😀 Geez not often you get thanked by an industry icon. Seriously though, even if there was no benefit other time/fuel savings I would still go this route. Haven’t done nitro in a long time, but I still remember the process. This time around I feel I’m so ahead of the game. Not to mention the man himself Mr. Nitro Adam Drake performed this service for me. That in itself is worth it.
great vid brother you always do great things for the hobby it awsome you do the break in service to make life easy for the hobby keep up the fantasstic work happy thanks giving to you and rhonda

How many gallons of Nitro for an engine to peak... how many past peak?

There are a few nitro engine dynos out there. Depending on the tune and how you care for the engine it should have good performance for 10-12 gallons.

Look up browns hobby shop in Irondale, OH and let them support your services. See if they will sell some broke-in engines!
Thank you!

Ya buddy!
Buy Novarossi engines before they are gone. Novarossi is closing.
So sad to see that.
