Ok I am working on that now. I never intended for this to be a viewed video and only uploaded it 2 years ago because the size of the video wouldnt let me upload it so I cld sace it yo anything else. Now that theres 38k views on it accidently, Ive downloaded it and will run it through my new software and make a better pleasant video 👍 Any other request to make it more pleasant to watch? Or any other how to videos I do it all/Remodeling and will post them upon request 👍
What did u do to weather proof the gaps behind the stud and the siding. I have a similar project coming up but my siding is aluminum and don’t want to cut into it.
It sounds like you're going to have to make a cut whether it's aluminum or not in order to fasten a two-by-four directly to the exterior wall and you can get several types of finishes to go on the cut end of the aluminum siding and just like in a previous response J channel would be your best bet and in this case I got matching j-channel to the home existing siding so worked out great and then everything in between is removed anyway uf you watch video to the inside. Does this help any. A saw saw & a straight line will do wonders. You can go ahead and fasten a 2x4 over the top of siding. Once level & plumb, Cut right outside the 2x4 if that makes it easier for you. 👍
It was actually a odd size in which I don't recommend but in this case the homeowner had no choice but it is a 10 by 17 I recommend to make even numbers so you have less scrap such as 16 or 18 but in this case she had Plumbing that was right in the way so we couldn't go past or we couldn't go less. If you'd like I would love to swing by and take a look and see what size would best suit yours surrounding
Hi It took about 38 days Weather is a huge huge factor and about 28k I can build on the cheaper side. 3 seasonal is less than 4 seasonal and the only differench is the floors insulation 👍
Well once you establish where the wall is going to be/ 2 by 4 that runs into home you will make your marks and cut out the vinyl siding so that you can attach the two to my Ford directly to the house. You can run j-channel up the side of that to give the siding that was cut a finish and add silicones excetera to make a good seal but outside of that it's really nothing extravagant that is really hard to do. You simply remove the siding and build your wall and the plate that we believe that this is against the house with your 16 on Center layout hopefully you go into an existing stud for determining where your wall will start and or end on both sides make sure you are attaching the wall to the existing two by four as well as the double top plate. 👍 Does this answer your question? Thatks alot
You could just call it both. not the one for whats right or wrong in someone elses eyes because were all different in many ways. Home Owners happy and so am I for what ever it is, it gave me work and made someone a place to relax during any weather because it is insulated from top to bottom as you may see in this video. if youd like to see more of this build just respond and I will make that possible. Thanks alot!
No, I was a bit of a rookie almost 3 years ago when i made this and never intended on other viewers. I only made this video for uploading purposes for me only but you tube was the only platform that allowed me to save a video this size due to the internal space on my personal phone. But I am now gonna make a better video since all the request 👍 any how to sugestions???????ask me now 👍
Not sure but there was a total of 42 lag bolts in a 17 ft 3inch span. Code was every 5" across every 2" down you do the math. But thanks for your concern👍
Yes absolutely oh, that would actually be more sturdy, but keep in mind it's all about what they can afford and in you really didn't have cases it's not in their budget to take the higher-end route
It depends if you want a 3 seasonal/Cheaper or 4 seasonal/more expensive! So can range between 18k to upper 40k range it just all depends on what all finishes you want 👍
The foundation was all inspected and has a lag in band ever 5 in across and 2 in up and down with a 2x8/double girder 11x17 how is that not sufficient?
Foundation won’t pass code here, anything with a roof attached to an existing house needs a pile below frost line. Here’s its 8 feet…… That and we required a beam to support the end of your structure, not allowed secure to side of post like that. That being said I am thinking about copying your roof, doing a similar addition
Never put wood buried in dirt or cement. Even pressure treated. It won't last. Moisture finds a way. Will weaken from inside out. Poor design for foundational footings. Structural wood design engineer. Great detail on the roof however.
Im sorry you feel that way and dont know why you say that but this was in the city on the main street and had to be inspected so I dont know were you get your info from but if you would like to see the pass paperwork id love to provide this for you to see I still have that filled😂
And I am sorry for that. This video was never intended to be a video for her or viewers. It was uploaded to here at that time due to the size of the video and few years later it has about 40k views an I never wouldve thought at that time. Niw I would make this same video remastered but no way I ca exchange them out. Any pleasant ideas?
Yea its not your typical music to enjoy I guess. Just was uploaded for video purposes. Unfortunately once its created and views started get ready for a ride because theres no turning back😂
If you would change from one slide to another with a simpler fade or switch, it would be easier to watch.
Ok I am working on that now.

I’m thinking about building a sunroom for my brick house and I like the size of yours. It looks roomy but not too big. What size was this room?
It was actually a odd size in which I don't recommend but in this case the homeowner had no choice but it is a 10 by 17 I recommend to make even numbers so you have less scrap such as 16 or 18 but in this case she had Plumbing that was right in the way so we couldn't go past or we couldn't go less. @@derrickpassley8859 thanks for the feedback and thanks for the offer but I'm in St. Louis, Missouri, I think that's a pretty long trip for a sunroom.
Do you have any idea what your cost was for the build?
It was roughly 18k labor cost and all finishes
They can be really high from 60k to 120k just more depends on type of finished material 👍
@@derrickpassley8859 would you get a good return if you sold your house do you think?
Hello David
well im not sure of the question so I havent had to know that. Why would you ask?
Great job I'll do mine 👍
Thank you Vhappy Eznhappy
I'll like it.
How many days did it take to build that? How much did it cost?
Hi
It took about 38 days
Weather is a huge huge factor and about 28k I can build on the cheaper side. 3 seasonal is less than 4 seasonal and the only differench is the floors insulation 👍
Did you do anything to protect the underside of the floor?
Yes it is insulated
How did you seal the side wall to the vinyl siding…..did you cut the siding…..
Well once you establish where the wall is going to be/ 2 by 4 that runs into home you will make your marks and cut out the vinyl siding so that you can attach the two to my Ford directly to the house. Is this a sunroom? Or just a room with a lot of windows!! There is a difference

Please read previous response 👍 Thanks!
Difficult to watch with the bad optic slide changes!!
I do apologize for that. Please read previous comment 👍
How big is this room?
Its actually only a 10x17
I know very weird size but measurements had to be that size because of other reasons
I guess he just discovered the transition feature.

I would suggest to skip the fancy transitions, just simple quick fade in and quick fade out 👍🏻
@@derrickpassley8859 I think it’s great!!!! Where are their videos?
@@xaviercross917 youll have to freshn my memory whos videos? Or what are you pertaining to?
You rely on a few bolts to hold everything up . Look at the beginning of your build and you will see what I'm talking about.

How come you didnt build it on a 2 foot block or one foot high concrete foundation? Much stronger and durable foundation base

Cost depends on if its a 3 seasonal or 4 seasonal, finishes of choice etc. $30 to $40 k should get you a nice 1 built. 👍

Derrick Passley ok good to know. I’m not a professional and truly have no clue.
