Disrespected my lifespan by suffering thru the 1st ep. Even if what some say is true, that later eps are better, I couldn't endure the idiocy and TRAVESTY!!
the rightful minority. And it should stay in the minority, and that minority should shirnk. you do you, but that take only seems possible if you turn your brain off. not a bad thing, just not a critical mindset
I thought he wasn’t mad at Gyatso , but was mad when he overheard the other monks say they were going to separate Aang from his father figure/ Gyatso ?
Aang was more so upset and yeah Gyatso blatantly is the only one that wants to ensure he maintains the joys. Especially since he was already training often(off screen) and the suggestion of creativity with the ways they made the Fruit cakes launched at the other elders and his air scooter
The monks were always meant to be highly trained fighters, or at least some of them were, even back in the original. Notice how many firebenders Giatso is shown to have taken out in The Southern Air Temple.
not really they never really trained for combat combat was more of a by product of them training to master there element. gaitso is a old man with tons of experience air bending of course he can take out a couple of firebenders. but the airbenders don't care about combat they are not supposed to they are just mastering something that is a part of them and in doing that they can use those skills in combat as well. Hell one of the whole reasons they lost was cause they don't care about combat and are pacifist.
@@joelikechi-konkwo1074 I don't disagree, but it is clear at least some of the monks were skilled at combat, even if most of them probably weren't. Gyatso appears to have taken out dozens of firebenders.
I'd say the more common theory is not that Gyatso was a highly skilled fighter, it's that he was a master airbender, able to take out air from the entire building he was in. He was probably just sitting there, and when Fire Nation soldiers came, he removed the air, killing everyone inside.
@@pierwiastekz2935 WOAH MAN 💀 a part of why the airbenders lost is cause no matter what they don't kill "even the life of a spider fly is precious" I doubt the teacher who taught aang the man who had an entire arc of refusing to kill the fire lord would kill a bunch of fire benders. Air is flammable i think he just tried to protect himself and block the fire and since air only makes fire worse and it was a bunch of fire benders it caused a explosion
I appreciate the effort that went into your video and some of the humor laced within but I think you are taking a hyper critical view of the show but the entire time being disappointed because it doesn’t have the same life that the animation of the original show had. Your issues with the first scene are kinda nitpicked yeah like you said but I feel like after the awful movie the point of this scene wasn’t to start the story necessarily it was more to show the quality and effort that would be put behind the bending and choreography the rest of the show would have. Now I do gotta agree they wouldn’t take the dude to the fire lord and him explaining to them just kill the guys is dumb and funny as shit as you said but the rest of the video you explain the theme of aang and his internal struggle and how it’s not shown in the new one but I personally watched it and understood those themes so I don’t see where the disconnect was for you but I appreciate the video regardless I do think the live action is worth a watch though.
The first scene was trash and he hit the nail right on the head. In the original show there wasn’t a war until the fire nation wiped out the air nomads. According to this show now we have to see when the war really began and why he would start a world war before knowing he ended the avatar cycle
I’m glad that first scene showed strong firebending and strong earthbending before anything else. If we’d seen Aang’s weird “falling with style” first, or seen Katara’s “baby’s first waterbending” first as it is in the original, I think we all would have been much more sus of the effects.
😂what are you a child? The thing about you people is you can’t explain anything you just want to be left alone with your garbage show and lie to yourself saying it’s good
dude.. the series isnt bad man.. they did great with what they got. If we keep shooting down all their new stuff.. we will never experience the avatar world's true potential
Any take that sheds positive light is the most cope filled fluff out there. It is a nothing show if you use any part of your brain, and im not sure people should be expected to watch things with as little thought as you do :D

I feel like I'm in the minority... I really didn't mind the series and look forward to the following seasons 😅
well yeah the shows good if you turn your brain off and don't think about it and don't compare it to the orignal
@@joelikechi-konkwo1074compared to the movie it’s definitely watchable.
@@joelikechi-konkwo1074 in other words, it's terrible

me too
the combo of avatar with Pokémon explores of sky music is a great callback to my childhood at 7:00
I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. I couldn't take it anymore.

Can you do a video why you think avatar the last Airbender works? Or why you think it’s better than other adaptations or sequel series?

@@pierwiastekz2935 I suppose that's possible. It's also possible that Gyatso ended up traveling with Roku and learned combat there.
I watched the first episode and was done with it. Nothing I hate more than characters sounding like refined dialogue devices instead of real people.
I was thinking that this show would be Avatar for Tiktok. Thank you, good review.
Good video man.
started a bit nitpicky but yeah i agree. the characters feel so detatched from their original personalities
There just so much more heart in the original. Characters just do things for the sake of plot in this remake
I think that the series is over hated because it’s Avatar. That’s undeniable.

Honestly, people get so upset when stuff is less than perfect and takes longer than a year. Y'all are ruining everyone's time 😂
Folks cry about anything. Let’s see you do a remake then
I'd rather make something new

Doesn't need to be remade.

uh, no, embarrassingly horrible take
You didn't at all give any good reasons why it's "bad" ur just hate watching
