There was interzoo i germany, maby its the reson why Oase was not at Aquashella. I know they was there.
Good point
you are a good sport to do long motorcycle rides. I’m way too chicken and into comfort.
Too funny 😂
If the water parameters in your tank are within tolerance do you still have to change the water?
I generally don’t unless nitrates are climbing above 20ppm
Hello, glad to see you back on live. My question is I have a 55 gal tank with two HOB 110/75 Tidal and want to add a sponge filter to bottom to help with keeping cleaner. Would this be too much filtration? I have just a comm tank 12 neons, 4 yellow plat, 2 ruby something, 1 angel, and 4 tiger barbs. I would like to add love plants could you suggest best ones to start with?
Most likely the sponge filter have very little impact. HOB filters are far better at mechanical filtration so what you have is already more than sufficient!
Yes I remember my bike days! Started at 17yrs old! Those long rd trips! 🤯 I thought it was me- Yeah Dallas & Atlanta roads cray cray! Glad you guys made it there & back safe follow riders! ❤
Fellow! 😂
Thank you!
Why do Cardinal tetras lose that red band of color in an aquarium ?
They shouldn’t - we’ve had hundreds of them and I can’t recall that happening? Maybe if they are on lighter substrate that might happen a little more?
How is the evaporation in the low boy?
We keep one covered with 8mm polycarbonate so it’s not bad. The uncovered one in the gallery usually gets a mid week top off
What fish are ideal for a 55 gallon tank that a spotted Brown Catfish in it. 🐠🐠🐠🐠🐟
What if you are red. It's fine.
Oh Joann stop it on the Green Neons please!
my Cardinal tetras rosy barbs and pencil fish all died within an hour. They were fine in the morning and then not. The Pygmy Cory’s were fine. Still swimming around healthy. No signs of disease on any fish just sudden reddened gills and bellies and hanging out by the intake of filter. ( water parameters were perfectly fine and that water is the same in all my tanks. Any ideas ?
Discouraged - I performed a complete water change and am keeping a close eye on the tank- am afraid to put any new fish back in .
I am new to this hobby so appreciate any information or suggestions.
Did you cycle your tank first?
The tank wax 8 months old
Just as a side Platy fry and shrimp weee also ok
It sounds like a water parameter issue. If there was zero ammonia and nitrite and your nitrates were less than 20ppm, it could have been a drastic change in pH or water hardness?
Thanks for all you input
Much appreciated- do you think I should try to add fish to the tank ? The Pygmy Cory and one Platy with 4 fry are still in there
@@LJE56 Usually, it’s a case of ammonia burn, but if your ammonia readings are coming out to 0ppm, then it could be a lack of oxygen within the aquarium or other chemical irritation/poisoning like chlorine.
I personally use Seachem Prime as my water conditioner.
Did all the fish have the reddened gills at the same time or was it one fish first?
As for the reddened bellies, that sounds like a bacterial infection.
Your pick a number giveaways are not fair because of the time delay involved. Some people are able to respond much faster than others so your pick a number is not fair. You should do it like Fish fam link. Everyone enters and then the computer picks the winner, please change and be fair about this.
Sorry - that’s just how we do it. Sometimes it takes a while for people to guess the right number. Sometimes we add in a question in addition to the number.
😅
What are you ywo doing? I thought you were going to a lawyer to fill out adoption papers. I am an orphan living on dimes from the sidewalk to buy ramen noodles.
You don't want me. I come with a lot of baggage. Most o to it is filled with money. But baggage it is. Lol
Is this really live. Question how come I buy 3 Mickey mouse mollies the next day I had 8.
We are live every Wednesday from 8pm-9:30pm CST. Looks like they had babies!
Now I have like 25 what the heck are they putting into my local water source . Not birth control. My mystery snails have had a thousand babies survive. They are really nice ones gold or copper but where do you sell 200+ mystery snails?
@@PrimeTimeAquatics yes they must have. But the moment I release any breedae fish they just explode in population
It's 2:45 pm here and I'm afraid to turn the lights on. I can see from my couch that they had more last night.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I know not to be a Debbie downer but my husband died Easter Sunday and I'm being not myself rn. I appreciate your content it gives my heart a break from the whole mess. So again
Sincerely.
