Nice work mate. For the wiring loom before you wrap it I’d suggest you also run a spare trailer cable in it to connect engine bay thru firewall penetration to the cabin. They’re usually 7-core and good for spare electronics down the track. I spent ages planning my loom but at the end of the day after it was all done I still needed more. Just things like spotlights, water pumps, various sensors, etc.
That’s so awesome! I’m happy to see it coming to life! It’s good to see an improvement on the build quality too! I’m sure once you get a shop with a lift and you can do this full time, without being tired from your job, you’ll build one 80 series a month. I got super excited to see how much wiring goes to the trash! My 80 series has all kinds of shorts in the engine bay! I can’t wait to start my 12 valve swap, but first I have a couple of race cars to finish (that way I can clear my working spot). What adapter did you end up using for the NV/80 transfer case? I haven’t bought my adapter yet.
Yeah I’m hoping to be able to go this full time! Yeah there’s tons of trash wiring. I went with Dustin’s adapter plate/splined shaft from powertrainintegration.com
fucking brilliant, bravo, can't wait to see more of the project wrapped up.
Giddy up
Vid showed up on my suggestions, I love guys that explain what they’re doing without making it look like a tutorial. Definitely subbing keep it up!
Hey thanks man! Having so much fun doing it! Glad you’re enjoying it!
