Kyle, tears running down my face imagining the fear and struggle you have gone through. I lived for 28 years in war torn, revolution in Iran in 1979 when I was 15. I know what fear is. I know what anxiety is. They got me married arranged at 18 and in 21 with a 6 month old baby, I had to rush back to my parents due to abuse and hurts. I hear you loud and clear. I feel it when you talk. But interestingly enough, it brought my brother's who was 2 years older to my mind at the time. He went and broke my ex husband's wrist for what he's done to me. You see, the cycle of violence never stopped till I made peace with myself. And it literally took years after moving to Canada and trying to find my son after being abducted to Norway. Long story, I'm turning 60 this November and my 39 years son for the forth time came for a visit. Yes I found him when he just turned 16. The trauma and turbulation of years of abuse got me to take a deeper look at my life. I'm helping others now to cope. I'm so proud of you for opening up and being vulnerable. Just pure love for you. Thanks for bringing my favorite guy Peter to your show. Now I have 2 of you to listen and learn more

Absolutely loved this podcast. Really resonated with me as growing up with a father who was drinking, fighting at home, etc. - my default mode was vigilance. And in the last 3 years, especially in 2020 this has been reactivated again. Now being a Peter Crone Masterminder, I have reframed things. This conversation was a perfect cherry on top of the cake. Great timing, as always with things I hear from Peter.

Thanks Kyle for your courage to sit across your friend Peter who brings the truth serum. So many of us feel the world is dangerous cuz at one point it was so I love this reframe at a critical time when it's more powerful to see love than hate. For the claustrophobic story, I spent my life being scared of heights because of a one time event when I was a kid. I spent my life afraid to the point I would death grip the rail on an escalator going up one floor. One day I "heard" a voice nearing the top of the escalator at the most intense point of fear "I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD, THE HIGHER THE BETTER". I can't say where that came from exactly cuz it's not what I was thinking at that time (I do recall a silent prayer to Archangel Micheal the moment before)!! Now it's what I say to myself as soon as the fear starts up and it transforms the experience immediately. Is it forever gone...NO...but it's there for me when I need it most and it works like a charm! Honestly I don't even know if I want it completely gone because the feeling of my own words bringing me self soothing feels amazing and so healing. It's a great reminder that I'm all I need! Hope this resonates...again thank you for the powerful conversation. Big hugs to little and big Kyle.

This is beautiful, to see the vulnerability of a man (even if you did need to hide behind a leaf), and the toll the 'protector' role has on men. I for one feel privileged to have men like you in this world, I was never protected but I feel safer knowing men like you do exist. There is absolutely a place for you among us. Embrace your protector role, us women and children need it! 🙂
