This is So Very Cool. We don't hear these kinds of tunes here in our small town often....please, if you ever get a chance...come to see us. This is extraordinary.
I started watching these guys when Ian was just a kid. He's all grown up now! Love these guys. What an amazing, talented family, huh?!
Yes they are an amazing family. I think there is another generation about to break onto the scene. Thanks for sharing!
If you are talking about Ivan, l believe he is already a grandfather.
Really....somehow I missed em till this last 2yrs......they're Magik
@edvintaine Ian is Art’s son
Just found out about these guys. Awesome! Love playing this style - pocket, groove, feel. Wish we bands like this down our way in New Zealand.
Still undefeated
The last of the Great "NEW ORLEANS" funk movement created by to many to name. I lived and played it ( bass player )and I'm 60 yo; I grew up with these guys. I see no one after these guys. It will continue but with a different groove....
Yea, Dumpstaphunk and family are going to propel it into the next generation. Let us know whenever you are coming to Asheville.
I think I completely agree. I come from the death metal realm of music, and newer death metal simply is NOT like old school death metal. This type of funk is from a different generation of souls and sounds, and will only be imitated, but never replicated by folks to come. It's upsetting being in my 20's and realizing that there are certain "eras" of music that are either dying or simply gone. The musicians who perform a certain style will hold that spot for eternity.
Nah. Music styles come and go and then come back again. Although I agree with you that they are never the same - they've adapted and absorbed other forms of music. Just watch - swing will come back around in 2024
disagree
new orleans funk for life
Tons of Funk/ Jazz/ Blues experience with this band folks - Awsome show!
that Ramble On cover tho! yes!
Rest in Peace Nick Daniels
They are playing tonight at Ocala's Summer Music Festival, I can't wait!!
Great !
Thanks !
41:37 Ramblin' On! Playing the highly touted JPJ bass line and pretty much nailing Plant's vocal AT THE SAME TIME!! Not too f*****g shabby.
Yea, that's kinda what I was thinking
Hey cuz love what you and the band doing keep it up can't wait to see you when you come to Seattle
when are they going to be in seattle?
Sounds amazing. Tight!
this is great!!!!
Great job the other night opening for P-Funk & Fishbone in Seattle!
This was a great concert!!! Dumpstaphunk killed it on the Led Zeppelin song "Ramble On!!!"
I don't know how Tony Hall can sing and play that baseline simultaneously. He must have 3 or 4 brains!!! 🏆🏆🏆
holy Moses they are just awesome
Ramble On 🔥
The song titles (and band members names ) should be listed not the video crew!
Great bass, great vocals, great ... =D all around!
What tha fucking funk....why did I miss this.?..🙈🤯 anywway..glad I found it...👌🤟👍🎸😘
here again!
I love the sound of a Tobias Bass inside the hands of a player that knows what to do with it!
Oh yes!
Are my eyes deceiving me? Are there TWO Bass players in the band? If so, cool.
BradentonSlick together with the reincarnation of Bernie Worrell! 🤩
Badder than bad! And badder than that!
seeing them for first time at summer camp...sound quite funkadelic
Lucky you!
not at all like funkadelic lol
actually, they did cove a Funkadelic song at the end of the set. One Nation Under a Groove.
FUNKING the good stuff! Yeah baby...
8:m30.. The drummer... The sik beat mutha! Come on, that's some badass wicked chops delivered so good
wow.. that slapped bass!
Roosevelt collier pops in around 40 min for that Led Zeppelin tune.
Yes it was the first time I saw Roosevelt stand up and play like that.
a little Led Zeppelin at 41:20 2nd album 1970
wow..
"WE ARE ONE!"
I believe that's Cyril Neville's son. He is a member of the band not a guest....great chops!
Thanks for your interest. I think you have some chops too! Drop us a link sometimes.
ian (rhythm guitar) is art neville of the meters son. Ivan is arron neville son
😎
That bass is looking like a peace of furniture to me! Make it into this VIDEO and start working that funk out, in this world.
I love Ivan Neville 🥰
Siguen tocando éstos muchachos ?
where have i been? ....
Tony Hall is GOD
what's the name of the first song in the set?
"Deeper" from the Everybody Wants Some album.
super jammy set for dumpsta!
Sly, and Bernie and Prince and Herbie and Billy Preston and all that equal them. Funkay!!!
Phuckin' Phunky!
Niiice! Was reading some 'serious' music critic saying jazz is a waste of time these days -- like, 'why do they even bother?' -- ha! It's just spreading out into all kinds of funky. "You can dance to my music" -- T. Monk. Ho 35:10 dude's got an Ornette Coleman white saxophone.
Who was the young guest guitarist playing late in the set ?
Me too!!!
