Never be loyal to a job. Be loyal to yourself 😊
Aka never stay in a role or a job more than 2- 3 yrs 1 yr for learning the role 2 ND yr contributing back to the company 3 rd yr experimentation and exit.
But yet there are still people there loyal to company. Until they get that wake up call of Layoff/ Firing.
That's true

Pretty much. They will have major sales on those Tesla cars.
I see so many nowadays that it makes me think the market is saturated and everyone who wanted one and could afford one has it already
Worked at GM for many years, layoffs are a fact of life.
When everything is so damn expensive who can afford to buy a new car that doesn’t get you far
Even the ones that can are way overpriced. 60k for a truck that 5 years ago cost 35? Yeah hard pass
As somebody that works for a dealership we sold over 152 units last month we sold over 230 used units last month so apparently everybody can afford one.. there is not a single vehicle on the road that a person owns the title to their vehicle all of y'all are making car payments..
@@kainsarafan8190all my 3 cars are paid off
Degens can
They can’t that is why Tesla is slashing prices. There sales have dropped drastically reason why for the layoffs. Cutting 10% of there workforce.
Any company that receives tax breaks to operate within a state should be forced to pay those breaks back when they lay off portions of their workforce.
How does that make sense
@@MRkriegs because Tesla got tax breaks based upon bring those jobs to the state, alongside some other things (contributing to infrastructure, which they have NOT done, at least in Reno)
Texas probably should make better decisions instead
Kinda feel bad for any of those workers who uprooted their lives, moved to Texas to take a job at Tesla.
Yea, didn't the company just move to Texas? I heard the move drove up local property taxes.
Claw back all of Tesla’s TX tax incentives.
I have co-works here at a factory I work at that Lease/ buy new pricey cars. These workers here earn 17$ hourly. Everyone here are overspending!! This factory job is not stable!!. Just glad I paid off my house last week, have zero credit card debt and drive a 16 year old car. Will drive it for another 10 years. These jobs are not stable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s the way to go. Bought a used car and only pay 250 a month for it.
I see dudes who make regular money paying 600 a month for a car. Like, what?
Imagine being on Mars getting laid off and finding your own ride home!😮
lol , yes that would be a problem
That’s a future prediction yet to happen.
GOOD ONE.😅😅😅.
Have you seen the movie MARS
Just brutal...bravo!!! 😂
This is going to affect vehicle sales because every consumer understands never to buy a vehicle being built by disgruntled workers. You think the remaining workers care about quality control as they worry if their jobs will be eliminated next.
You better care, or you can get laid off too...
If you care but still get laied off why should you care at all? You caring about it usually plays no factor in a mass layoff to cut costs lol@quyngo8203
Definitely not great for Tesla's reputation. But I guess they are betting on replacing disgruntled workers by humanoid robots in the long run 😅
You can’t even put the truck through a car wash without voiding the warranty . They don’t like water apparently.
Based on Tesla's infamously bad build quality, you can bet the last thing any Tesla worker cares about is quality control. They literally put all their hate for every Tesla customers in every single car they build. You can't believe how much they hate customers. They are nothing but a nuisance to Tesla employees.
Welcome to the club. Working for Ford over the years, I was laid off several times and for long periods of time. There is no guarantee for a job for life. Unfortunately the bills don't stop coming in.
How many times do you see employees on their cell phones instead of working getting rid of the deadbeats?
Who would have thought not everyone can afford 80k vehicles
You get a brand new Tesla for $30,000 dollars
@@jondeforge8266 you still gotta. Pay it off buddy not every one has money the cost of living is to fucken high etc etc
@@jondeforge8266 shut up man, I have friends who can barely afford $10k cars.

Millionaires and “Billionaires”
Moral Lesson: Don’t ever fell in love with your Job! Just do what is expected (realistically) no extra mile coz at the end of the day you’re just a number to them. Also don’t be loyal to your employer coz they won’t be to you follow where the opportunity and money is.
That’s what happens when you piss off your customer base.
If your sales need perks out of tax payer dollars, that’s writing on the wall
Moved all the way to Texas to lay people off. Wonder why?
They opened it in April 7, 2022 and two years later ! 😂
18,000 people are still employed there
@safeandeffectivelol lies I used to work at giga nv only had 4k employees on the Tesla side and 3k panasonic side. Stop trying to save your Tesla stock. 🤣
@safeandeffectivelol
For now. Fords used to be all built in the US as well.
It’s good that Tesla moved its headquarters to Texas.
Tesla will become this generation's DeLorean 😂
I sincerely hope so.
You want to bet your life on that?
Do you even know the history of DeLorean?
😁😀😄😂
I didn't know DeLorean had robots, AI, and FSD.
The cars are just a means advancing the company's technology.
DMC never made a million cars, nevermind 4 million and Tesla current production rate of close to 2 million WORLWIDE annually. Deal with it TROLL.😂
Spot on
Everybody who really wanted an electric vehicle already has one. Now they have to appeal to the mass market, and you can't do that without better nationwide charging infrastructure, and faster charging batteries.
It's just as much on the environment too. Mining for everything used in the batteries. Strain on the electrical grid.
And very low prices too
that and also market is now flooded with electric cars from different makers. Tesla simply couldn't keep up with the competition, almost all the brands have all electric versions now
And lower cost of living
They fired 2,700 employees and they also decided to pay 1 employee about 53B what a way to save cost.
But that's not all, the stock price went up by 10% after the news of firing. That means that many people/investors are happy when a lot of employees are getting fired.
Drove by the Tesla dealership yesterday, and I kid you not, they have more cars on the lot than anyone else, just packed!! Guess the public’s OVER IT!!
Everyone’s overpacked, not just Tesla, people are broke , they are learning through this economic climate that a new car every 3 years is kinda dumb and they can fix their current car and spend their money on other important things.. who wants a higher interest car loan today?? Foods killing everyone with the rising costs , there’s no room for a car payment anymore
They don't have dealerships. Cars are ordered online. The showrooms only have 1 of each model
Only the fools bought them.
EVs are a joke.
Dude drove by a super charging station and thought it was a dealership lmao
Everybody was so happy when Tesla came to Texas. Tesla took all those tax breaks in Texas and laid off his workforce. Capitalism is just beautiful.
They still employ tons in Texas you know.
Since he is depending on tax incentives for his company and customers, would you say that Elon benefitted from socialism?
@@Ultrajamzright! People are acting like they fired everyone. The Tesla workforce is still over 18,000 people in Texas.
Blame Demorats for destroying the economy and massive inflation!
why so serious? why so SERIOUS?
The whole thing is expensive. Not just Tesla but the auto industry has just pushed and pushed to add unnecessary expensive digital features.
It’s funny how technology hasn’t made anything cheaper, especially in the auto industry.

@@user-ln7of9gs4s stock down 40%🙃🙃
This is just the first round. There will very likely be at least two more major rounds of lay offs, one later this year and the other early next year. Tesla has no production flexibility to adjust to consumer demand dynamics, so all they are can do is cut prices, reduce production, and/or lay people off. Realize, you are dealing with a manufacturing infant that is not battle hardened against recession like legacy auto. Going off yesterdays earnings report, Tesla will need to lay off at least another 20-25% of its total head count. That assuming demand does not fall any further.
Unfortunately this is more likely true. Rarely do companies have only one round of layoffs and then everything is good again. I wish the best for those going through this because I know it's not pleasant.
Please explain how you came up with your numbers.
@@user-ln7of9gs4s Read the report and determine it for yourself. Assume the average burden of an employee is $75k/yr, which is pretty much what the CFO estimated on the call.
How’s that Elon kool aid tasting now?
Delicious.
lol
I remember working at Tesla in Fremont 2 years ago, all the employees or I mean slaves were bragging to me about how they had a lot of money in their stocks. I wonder how they feel now that they have been laid off.
And the stock is cut in half
and now that the stock has nose dived....
Actually the stock normally goes up after a layoff because the company has reduced costs. Tesla stock has jumped the last couple days. But that doesn't make this right!
You mean full of horse sh*t ! In their stocks 😂
@hopefloats7573 it's because speculators mess up the derivatives, it's how they spiked to ATH last time
This is why two weeks notice is CUSTOMARY and not a requirement. Why give them notice so they can replace you meanwhile you get an email if youre lucky and youre done because they say so. This exact thing happened to my colleague working at Amazon Web Services about a year ago. Couldnt log in one morning even though he was working a hot button issue. Not even his manager knew why he could not log on. These mega corporations deserve no slack.
He probably got replaced by Ranjeet Kupoor. Which explains the massove drop in QOS
Stop spending money on rockets and take care of your employees.
Hope everyone finds a new job. These type of lay offs can send a family down hill fast. We all seen this same story play out with so many homeless people.
Welcome to life. One door closes another one opens.
The free training and experience Tesla gave you is priceless, open an electric car repair shop you'll make millions
Maybe they should have focused more on all people instead of just the rich to buy their cars
Bad for employees but positive for Tesla shareholders 😢
Tesla truck ain't selling😊
Tesla sales are slumping right now so they are consolidating their assets as much as possible.
Don't Mess With Tesla. I mean Texas.
Man......this is sad news......but hey! On the bright side, I can get a model 3 with 67k on it for 18k!!😁
Because they over charging for cars and than when cars not selling they are firing employees. Not nice.
The world is not overpopulated only his factory
I thought Texas was the Nirvana of manufacturing.
So how about get some of them tax breaks back to the people!
Never trust corporate or any boss
2,700 folks tricked into building junk now suffering.
Green wasn't so green after all !
This company, receives grants, loans, tax breaks etc… from the American government money provided from American taxpayers, to lay off American because their boss can’t invest anything that anyone needs or wants. 😢
It's literally hard to find a city w less unemployment than Austin especially in the tech sector
…couple of questions. What types of jobs were mostly affected, production or non- production line ? And what are the possibilities that any jobs were replaced by robots ?
Operational issues will torment this company @ their own doing.
Tesla cars not selling. But the company should have told them at Least 2 weeks in advance that their is going to be layoffs. Instead of a day notice.
They were interesting concept cars.
They better give them a double figure severance pay.
Whenever these tech bros are running away from California, it's usually because they are losing already.
If anyone has ever had the experience of calling a bic box store to get help with a question and you get stuck with an a.i. Computer that doesn't give you a real answer well there is more of that to come.
Why even work in a place that will constantly fire employees when times get rough?
That ugly truck not making money.
Could've just called it seasonal smh
its the robots. they probably hired ppl to oversee and maintain the machines at new factory, when they realised the machines were good to go without constant supervision, they laid off ppl
The hits just keep on coming 😢
3,300 in the bay area and 2,700 in Texas Tesla at it again ruining livelihoods
Lay offs suck but not really surprising since Tesla has cut prices several times in the last couple of years. Apple, banks, bio-tech to name a few have had lay offs too. The economy is in a death spiral despite what The White House says.
What the reporter did Not say is that Tesla gave those affected a 60 day severance package.
What did you expect?
Its ok they will find a job 350k jobs added by government statistics 😢
but but but, i thought tesla was the leader. THERE OUT OF JUICE, NO CHARGER FOUND. MEET YA AT THE GAS STATION.
You know, it’s strange, I’m a little surprised that gas stations didn’t install chargers. Not defending the milkfloats but still. The opportunity to make extra $ is there
Love how you all forget they just laid of thousands last week also. That must be close to half the workforce in a week and no one notices bcoz it is done twice. 😂
Tesla stock is tanking like a rock sinking in a lake. Good time to buy?
It actually bounced back on earnings reports today.
Give back the tax breaks.
After he got 67 million in TAX PAYER subsidies
start a class action law suit
I mean nobody is buying new rn. My boyfriend and I just paid our cars off. My plan was to turn right around and buy new immediately but……I’m keeping it for awhile now.
I'm still waiting for my hydrogen powered Tuk-Tuk from Bajaj auto in India.
The US needs help yet we keep sending aid to other countries. America First.
I hope you realize that these "aids" are stimulus packages for the military industrial complex. America gives NOTHING for free. General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, BAE Systems, etc. all need to move products to stay afloat. Just like Tesla, Ford, GM, etc. The US government is good at labeling it nicely...just like "lobbying" are essentially bribes. "Lobbying" sounds much nicer.
Did you buy a Tesla to help?
"Aids" are nothing but stimulus packages. It's a business transaction.
I see comments are deleted.

That is the corporate common law.
If Telsa lays off its employees that should tell you all you need to know about the economy in this country. Meanwhile this is how Elpn Musk stay wealthy by laying off people that depended on this job to feed and support there families
I wonder if those people will move back to California. 🙏🏽
Its factory workers those are mostly all Texans working on that floor.

Where was the 2 week notice? Oh wait, thats one sided.
Elon doesn't give a damn about people🤬
Damn, didn't Tesla just move there?
What blows my mind about Tesla is the 7-year delay in the Semi. As I understand it, very few have been built and corporations around the world put in orders years ago and are still waiting 🤷🏼♂️
The oil companies are sitting on the sidelines like vultures...."raise that barrel of oil"....and we are all wondering why gas prices keep rising
Yeah, its not like EVs have their own issues dealing with the 3rd party insurance greed. We can fight oil but the greed will just be coming from somewhere else. At least oil were the ones that built this country from ground up. Its the power companies that are the ones that are sitting vultures to take their place.😉 Gotta be niave to think otherwise.
Silly rabbit, laws don’t matter when it comes to corporations only the steerage
