I lived at Knox Trailer Park Camp LeJeune for a year and half (1970-1971) with my Marine husband and son who was born there. My son was born with birth defect on his hand. I was 6 months pregnant when we moved there and feel if he had been conceived there he would not be here today. I have suffered multiple ovarian surgeries including hysterectomy at 30 from toxic water. I also have hypertension, thyroid cancer, diabetes, infertility, aneurysm, renal cysts, ovarian cancer and stroke. I am unable to get diagnosis for some of these conditions since it was 50 years ago. The doctors are deceased and hospital closed or do not keep medical records later than 10 years ago. The Navy should pay for the awful betrayal they committed to servicemen and their families consuming the toxic water causing horrible health conditions and even death. Tragic cover up and the VA and Department of the Navy are constantly trying to deny claims and not paying for the horrible health conditions. Shame on them!

There were Marines still getting sick from the water at Camp Lejeune in the early to mid 90's.

That’s absolutely horrific!!! No telling how many women, men and children have died or seriously harmed by the neglect. Each one of the families should take part in a class action suit.
My question is, How many other bases had the same issues!

I complained several times to my superior NCO's that the water from the scuttlebutt tasted 'funny' and was told that was because I was used to 'yankee water' because i was from Detroit.
