We haven’t had contact in 7 months... our breakup wasn’t messy, we ended in good terms. I contacted him on his bday to wish him well, that is all and no reply... it’s been 3 days. Is there a reason why you think he didn’t reply? ( also He is a dismissive avoidant)

If your ex doesn't reply or response to you anymore the ultimatum for that is that they really decided to cut you off in their life and the best thing to do is 1. Don't chase them. 2. Focus on loving yourself. 3. Focus on your goal. It is their choice not to be part of your life anymore because If that person/people value you or see you as important they'll make an effort to be there with you or to be part of your life again and then if that's the case why are you going to plead, beg, or choose to be with someone who don't see your value or don't appreciate that you are a gift to them. All of us has worth and has much more to offer and rather chasing them why don't we give it to someone who chose us and want to be with us or part of our life.

I think that is the wise thing to do. I come to realise the friendship after a breakup is not genuine. Yes feelings are still there but no one wants to give too much attention or time to someone they wont be pursing a relationship with. My ex called and I help her out of a a issue. Trying to be a good friend. I contact her later get ghosted for a week. Then call out of curiosity, ignored 1 call waited again and called got a answer where you can tell she was so uninterested and answering just to send those signals of don't call or text again. That being said I learned my lesson. Don't go tryiing to be the good friend after a breakup, its not worth making that person a top priority.

My ex and I have been through no contact twice. On both occasions he has messaged me to break the no contact. I felt happy to reply to him as I am in a calm head space and I also felt it would be better to reply rather than ignore as he felt neglected and not appreciated at the end of our relationship. Having replied to his message “how is everything?x” I said “sorry for the slow reply, been very busy, you alright?x” he hasn’t replied. Wife and I are going threw a possible divorce been together five years both have great careers but now mines in jeopardy because of events we've been threw with his divorce. Im confused because my ex texts me sometimes but doesn't respond to my reply or waits days. His texts are mostly about how bad his life is or when he has a bad day. Never about how I'm doing. He calls occasionally but it's for favors like a ride or to crash on my couch. Why does he text and ditch and what does he want from me? Im so confused.
Some people remember us if they need something from us for example they had a bad day with their work, they had a fight with the new person he/she is dating, or no one that is available for him/her to talk to that time or he/she is just bored and need a past time and mostly for the guy they are horny and need sex hahaha but of course just in general.

I sent him messages asking why isn't he answering my calls etc and he still ignored it. I'm trying to figure out tho; he broke it off and it ws quite hurtful. I know myself and Im the type who would naturally pull away and go silent on u for months (that is aftr I pleaded lol). He reached out to me and continued to do so for days but his grandmother passed away and that ws the only reason why I messaged him back. He showed up to my apt completely unannounced some days after and I asked him to not do this and respect my boundaries etc to which he then claims to be "hurt" about. He continued to msg me aftr this but because of what ws said during the breakup period, this time wss harder for me to forgive him immediately because the hurt ws so deep and dare I say bordering on mental abuse. It ws however really my time for a re-birth and I enjoyed the process as painful as sm moments have been. We had some loose ends to tie up, which he did and I finally reached out to him to thank him for doing so and now he's ignoring me lol. Im not worried however, Im just not sure why he is the one upset because I gave him what he wanted. He has a tendency to say things but when I oblige his desires/comments, he has temporary amnesia 😂 and becomes upset. Im just confused as to why he is now being the "victim" and ignoring me when he is aware of what he said and how it affected me which led to me removing myself from around him in the first place...

In order to really know how our ex is processing certain things, we need to learn how to think like them. I agree with you Coach same situation I'm dealing with. I haven't spoken to my ex in over a year. I decided to text him and see how he is doing. He responded back a few times. Then today I texted him "I miss you" but no Response. I guess I got to leave the Past in the Past.. but he keeps popping up from the Grave. Any advice? I was madly in love with my ex but he had a very jealous ex-girlfriend. he stayed the night with her and his daughter not sure if anything happened but that's what started the fight. The next day I binned all his clothes and told him to get out. Gave him a lot of insults. I apologized on the Saturday by text but when I came home on the Monday he had gone with all his stuff. It's been two weeks since the break-up, I gave him all his things back, and took back everything I've ever bought him. I was so livid at the time though that I went to his friends place where he was at, made him take off his sneakers right there and then, he had to walk home barefoot. After I did self critical. I realised something that I needed to change.... It's him LOL. I'm good with or without him. I've reached my goals. If your ex doesn't reply or response to you anymore the ultimatum for that is that they really decided to cut you off in their life and the best thing to do is 1. Don't chase them. 2. Focus on loving yourself. 3. Focus on your goal. It is their choice not to be part of your life anymore because If that person/people value you or see you as important they'll make an effort to be there with you or to be part of your life again and then if that's the case why are you going to plead, beg, or choose to be with someone who don't see your value or don't appreciate that you are a gift to them. All of us has worth and has much more to offer and rather chasing them why don't we give it to someone who chose us and want to be with us or part of our life.

When no contact is over its important to ease into conversations and sometimes end the conversations so you have control. At this point, I would do NC again and only give close-ended responses when he reaches out.

I think that is the wise thing to do. I come to realise the friendship after a breakup is not genuine. Yes feelings are still there but no one wants to give too much attention or time to someone they wont be pursing a relationship with.

Then call out of curiosity, ignored 1 call waited again and called got a answer where you can tell she was so uninterested and answering just to send those signals of don't call or text again. My ex and I have been through no contact twice. On both occasions he has messaged me to break the no contact. I felt happy to reply to him as I am in a calm head space and I also felt it would be better to reply rather than ignore as he felt neglected and not appreciated at the end of our relationship. Wife and I are going threw a possible divorce been together five years both have great careers but now mines in jeopardy because of events we've been threw with his divorce. Im confused because my ex texts me sometimes but doesn't respond to my reply or waits days. His texts are mostly about how bad his life is or when he has a bad day. Never about how I'm doing. He calls occasionally but it's for favors like a ride or to crash on my couch. Why does he text and ditch and what does he want from me? Im so confused.
He wants you to change you not changing that's why... You did something to him without coming to your sense to come to him in the right way..
Some people remember us if they need something from us for example they had a bad day with their work, they had a fight with the new person he/she is dating, or no one that is available for him/her to talk to that time or he/she is just bored and need a past time and mostly for the guy they are horny and need sex hahaha but of course just in general.

I'm trying to figure out tho; he broke it off and it ws quite hurtful. I know myself and Im the type who would naturally pull away and go silent on u for months (that is aftr I pleaded lol). He reached out to me and continued to do so for days but his grandmother passed away and that ws the only reason why I messaged him back. He showed up to my apt completely unannounced some days after and I asked him to not do this and respect my boundaries etc to which he then claims to be "hurt" about. He continued to msg me aftr this but because of what ws said during the breakup period, this time wss harder for me to forgive him immediately because the hurt ws so deep and dare I say bordering on mental abuse. It ws however really my time for a re-birth and I enjoyed the process as painful as sm moments have been. We had some loose ends to tie up, which he did and I finally reached out to him to thank him for doing so and now he's ignoring me lol. Im not worried however, Im just not sure why he is the one upset because I gave him what he wanted. He has a tendency to say things but when I oblige his desires/comments, he has temporary amnesia 😂 and becomes upset. Im just confused as to why he is now being the "victim" and ignoring me when he is aware of what he said and how it affected me which led to me removing myself from around him in the first place...

I havent contected my ex for over a year.. Then I saw him at my work place 2 days ago.. And all the emotions came up again we had pretty rough break up .. But i still want the best for him and cant forget about our memories withh him or him as a person. Any advice? I was madly in love with my ex but he had a very jealous ex-girlfriend. he stayed the night with her and his daughter not sure if anything happened but that's what started the fight. The next day I binned all his clothes and told him to get out. Gave him a lot of insults. I apologized on the Saturday by text but when I came home on the Monday he had gone with all his stuff. I met him once since then and he was crying and said he loved me but he was drunk. I met him once more and he was very cold and nasty. That was nearly four months ago and despite me sending about 6 texts and one call he is never replied to me acgin. Do you think this is the end and I should just leave him alone forever? I miss him so much.

It's been two weeks since the break-up, I gave him all his things back, and took back everything I've ever bought him. I was so livid at the time though that I went to his friends place where he was at, made him take off his sneakers right there and then, he had to walk home barefoot. When I woke up the next day I felt so bad about what I did, that I humiliated him that way in front of his friends. Needless to say I haven't heard from him since, tried texting and apologizing but to no avail, tried calling ,he just hangs up. I really love him and wanted us to get back together, but after what I did I don't think he will ever forgive me

He apologized and all that stuff the other day through text and he said he still wants to work on himself because he realizes he’s the one who rly screwed things up when he rly needed to get some mental health to deal with his loss of losing two of his best friends. So ya he asked me to respect his space and that he respects mine but that hes still got stuff to work on. But he’d post stuff on social media that was for me to see . Anywho so after he apologized the last couple of things I said he never responded to he actually waited a day to respond back I haven’t responded back do u think that’s good to hav ignored his message. I just don’t want him to think I’m just gna sit here and wait for him I understand he needs to deff work on himself some more it’s just now been 3 months since the break up but I don’t want him to think oh she will just keep waiting and waiting
I hate these games ppl play in relationships or after it ended. If people were more honest then people can accept the reality and move along. You want to start over then fine. if not move the fuck on. Don't even entertain it.
I dated a girl , i broke up to work on myself. we hangout but I get ghosted randomly. Why when you call me, i respond and I call you you don't. Be upfront the games are just annoying.
