Attempt limit is fine but age limit what if one person get interest after completing a bachelor degree or masters in pcm or pcb then that would be there first attempt, so isn't that unfair. In usa everyone should have a 4 year bachelor degree in any science subject. Only those can attempt medical exam . So what is wrong having higher education .

Classroom learning abilities will diminish after 25 years. Per university norms, across the world, only those under 25 are considered as students. Nobody can participate in university sports & games once you cross 25 years. In USA, there is no official age limit. But, if you apply for a second time (including USMLE) your chance will reduce to 1/4th. You will not get admission if you apply for a fourth time. Keep in mind that in USA one fourth of the medical graduates go for research. Hence, they need to be intelligent. Where as in India almost all medical graduates go for patient practice. For such doctors aptitude is more important that intelligence.
