To the people that don't understand the video concept its self explanatory if you realize her album is called elements. Through out the video she ties in the 4 elements; fire, air, water, and earth. The fire is her passion. It's encompassing all of her, in all the elements. Hence why she's in the woods/nature (earth) sitting on a chair that's smoking/burning ("Words crashing through the flames smoke spreading far"). Then she's breathing the cold air, and you can see her breath which looks like smoke. Then we see her pulled into the water and finally the fire flames. Most likely representing her transformation as an artist or as a person.

every time kina posts a video or photo, there is ALWAYS someone commenting about her hair =| can we not for a moment just appreciate that she is a beautiful musician and artist, regardless of the length of her hair? her music and her voice isn't defined by whether she has short or long hair - she is a musician not a model, so let's appreciate her music ^_^
I understand if people are not as satisfied with this video as much as they are with her previous music videos. However, this song isn't an upbeat song where it would make sense to have moving bright jellybeans or her smiling through everything (even though her smile is the most beautiful thing). It may be the fact that we're not used to and are still adapting to this other side of Kina's music that's just as wonderful as her other side of music. We must understand that at times there are serious songs of her to be taken with sympathy such as 'Winter' which admittedly I almost cried listening to it. Awesome job kina

I watched this video for the first time probably four months ago. Since then, I believe my views could be tracked as an exponential function. It surprises me that some individuals are so quick to comment that the video "makes no sense". Whatever happened to the times when you would try to find the meanings behind the metaphors and symbolism of things you don't initially understand (even if it wasn't what the author intended)? I'm sure everything has a meaning to Kina, and personally, that's the fun part when I read a book or watch these kinds of videos/films. Love the team's and your work, Kina! Easily one of my favorite albums.

I love this music video. Besides the elements that consist in this music video. I also see characters that are PROBABLY: Kina now, Kina when she was a little child (the little girl) and one of the person that is an old man ( pause at 02:55, it's very very fast ). The overall meaning of the lyrics is about someone who "let the fire out and it's right in front of" her. Presumably when see was a little girl, this guy (could be her father, her uncle, whoever it was) said or did mean or terrible things to her, or right in front of her that caused a lot pain and she wished that this guy could learn his lessons. Once again, this is my opinion and I think this video is quite personal. I love it. Kina would never do anything meaningless. :)
Sometimes I think I see stories of abuse in others of her songs (e.g. This Far) but it's such a horrible thought that I prefer to see stories of frayed romantic relationships.
Yes, indeed, embrace it 😊. It's called life. Unlike fairy-tale, life is beautiful in its own scary, unfair, and honest ways. That's why we like Kina. She is honest in a very sweet and calm way. Once again it's just what I see, just my own opinion.

I see what people mean when they say this is slightly confusing, but i disagree. This is a great music video for the song, and i love everything about it! The song itself was always mysterious to me because i didnt know what "the fire" was, but this opens up interpretations, great job Kina!

Sorry i didn't see you replied! I think "the fire" is not a physical fire, but more emotions or feelings, as in "you let the fire out" is letting feelings out. Now for the video i think she's showing these emotions such as sadness, loneliness, as different persons. Obviously when she sings it's just for the music video effect, but when we see her in that mirror, her feelings are maybe taking over and burning her from inside? This is just my interpretation again, and i'm pretty sure Kina sees it differently herself, but that the purpose or art isn't it?

I love the style of this album! It seems to have so much more meaning than your other stuff. I mean that was great, but it was blunt and had little depth. These newer songs are more like poetry, and I really like that.

I enjoyed the music video, of course I am also a visual arts person and I think to be a creative musician you also have to have some visual art talent. I did see how all the elements tied into the video and felt the emotion in the song.
