This is only the second car chase upload on this channel that has no USA built car in it with the exception of a few Australian chases. I'm not really into Euro cars but these old Italian crime movies are a kick and these two chases are pretty entertaining. Besides I'm running out of car chases to upload at this point.
One take oil burning door handle to door handle metal crunching action. The European chases of this era are unpolished and gritty, they are perfection!
Entertaining. I probably need to expand my automotive history knowledge anyway. The old Citroen still looks like a spaceship, and MB like a Ford Falcon.
As someone who specialised in restoration of this exact model, the red car, fiat 132, I can vouch that engine sound is genuine. The shot of throttle cable actually shows fiat 132's down draft twin barrel Weber carburettor mechanism.
I like the foreign car chases. Some look so realistic and probably were! I think it was the director of Ronin who put a camera on the hood of his Ferrari and drove thru regular traffic to get some footage. That beats CGI any time in my book!

Don't think there was much hope for the Fiat 600 driver after it's head-on with the Fiat 132 at 1:23. The 132 only suffered minor damage. Carried on 'coz there was no way the 600 driver could have survived that.
@@speakfreeley4473 and even with seatbelts too, you can see the deceleration is sudden, and although I love those old cars, safety wise they were awful
I used to have a 1971 Dodge Charger with a 1973 5.9 liter V8 engine. At the same time I had a 1989 Vauxhall Cavalier with a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder engine. The Cavalier handled better & would leave the Dodge for dead on country roads! I still preferred the Charger though!
Fiat cars are considered strong and can withstand major shocks, and they still operate strongly, unlike today's cars. They are like a piece of paper that is torn if it touches any wall or car, and if it collides, it results in a car destroyed from all sides. An Italian Mafia movie full of action and adventures. I think you should do the full movie like with cannonball run(76) that way we have more stuff to watch while you look around for more chase scenes. I’m suprised no one has tried to do a world rally race around the globe where each country that does it is a checkpoint and the route is buffalo NY to Europe and around the globe and the finish is Long Island the prize is $250M that would be a cool TV series.
