Fold 5 user since 5 months, I love the one handed cover screen for fast use while walking. And the full screen is more than enough for doing everything that this amazing amazing device can make.
Waiting for AI integration with 6.1 update to get the fuller experience of samsung on the Fold Z 5, note that I still find Z fold 5 more interesting than the S24
look after it, even a cracked lens voids your warranty..
I don't like the narrow panel. The front on mine (Z Fold3) is almost unusable.
Not a fan of Thin. Since some people don't want thick and huge like me. Then Samsung should release a Z Fold 6 for those who like slim and smaller and make a Z Fold 6 Ultra that's thick and bigger for guys like me. 7 inches on the outside with S24 Ultra Cameras will make it the Gr3atest Phone ever built especially with a Built in S Pen.
They need to stick the spen in the phone already

Those other foldable might have better designs but they don't have the software power suite that samsung has for foldable and that makes a huge difference to me
I just left the ZFold2 for to the S24 Ultra.. I think ima need samsung to do more for me to go back as much as I love the foldables
The fold 5's cover screen grew on me but I do want a bigger inner screen so I might have to checkout the 6

Making the "one handed use" argument for the super skinny tall current Z Fold design is BS! Wider makes more sense in this situation.. either way, I think we all want a huge display that fold, can display content appropriately, and is comfortable to type on. The current design fails at this. I'm so ready to update from my Fold 3 if it's anything similar to the oppo or one plus fold aspect ratio. The main screen is and should NOT be the inside screen. I want a regular phone on the go that opens into a tablet when I'm comfy.

A larger battery, faster charging, better camera, built in S pen are a must to reclaim that foldable spot in my opinion
The current Z Fold 5 physical shape design is fine, and to be honest, any desired changes had by myself or anyone else would be 9 months to a year away anyway, so we Z Fold consumers learn to adapt or purchase a different product all together!
Yes, the Z Fold 5 outside screen with S Pen support usability would be a giant leap, but hey, the attraction for me was having a phone that folds. The bonus, of course, is that the phone fits my pants pocket with relative ease. Also, the outside screen keyboard is narrow, which causes my typing and texting to take a negative hit...
Now the Z Fold 6 design change of its own that's in mind does not in of itself impress me saying the least... What may catch my eye (like the prettiest girl at the school dance) is experiencing the software changes, especially with AI on the surface!
What about a spen slot?
I wouldn't be surprised if they raise the price like they did with the ultra. 2k price tag? No thanks!

Great info as usual CJ, and I agree with you 200%. I can FINALLY consider the Fold series now (even though I'm still pissed about the end of my Note series). But the Fold 6 HAS TO HAVE an "enclosed" S-pen!! Otherwise it's a DEAL-BREAKER.
I'd appreciate getting my SD card support back too, to be real about it! Even if it comes with 1TB on board.

There are rumors that they’re just completely completely redesigning the whole camera for a NEW 50mp. But you’re right if you pay $2000 for a phone every single thing on it needs to be top tier! This is the new “note” and needs to live up to it
They really should upgrade the battery. A redesign is good but gotta up the battery.

I've had my Fold 5 for about a month. Love, but I'm so glad they're making it wider and thinner. I smell a trade in coming, lol. I am disappointed about the battery and cameras, though. Come on, Samsung, staying with the same but higher price phone. It's not making sense to me. Thank you for keeping 💯👍🏽

This is Horrible news that the Z fold is not going to be one handed anymore 😢 from someone who has the ultra this means I have to down grade to the base S series to get a something more manageable 😢
I agree with u CJ, the camera situation isn't on par with the price point. I happen to like the slim outer screen, it has grown on me, but I don't think I'll update from my 5 simply because Sammy made the screen wider. I'm holding out for a bigger battery , upgraded cameras and an embedded S Pen. You know what the Note lineup used to be about.
Also, no need to apologize for your opinions. I'm a Samsung user and we clowned Apple for essentially releasing the same phone with minor camera updates. I guess the chickens have come home to roost cause Sammy doing the same ish. We dished it now we taking it. Respect

This is allot more news that a few reviews had so far .... This is disappointed. Maybe no s-pen integration, no better cameras and no bigger battery? And all they doing is slightly and I mean slightly widening the display.... Another skip this year. All love to Samsung btw... And there attempt to be unique but with the OnePlus open being out. They can do a bit better. ✌🏾

No if there having us pay that much money it needs to be worth it. And definitely won't be worth it. I won't top tear camera, bigger battery, and built-in s pen. Which sounds like they're doing other things so definitely not worth it to me.

If they took that width and added a slot for the pen then it'd make sense. I've always wanted a wider screen so I went to a one plus open. Not gonna lie, I miss Samsung software but some people really like the narrow screen. I've had people argue me about how useful it was for them. So I left the brand and went elsewhere. I'm unsure why they'd want to change now since they haven't before 😅 guess the pixel and one plus have given people another option that Samsung might want a piece of 🤷🏽♀️

Include Spen and top flagship specs but charge more for the fold factor Z26Ultra Fold and S26Ultra non fold. So people can choose whether they want to pay $500 to $1000 more for the fold. Use some of the same hardware from the S26Ultra to save money such as battery, frame and spen and use the same chipset instead of having some many different components between the two phones less overhead. Use the budget phones to get rid of last year's overhead stock. There should be more difference between flagship and mid to low tear devices.
Until they figure out, well until they actually decide to release the foldable glass that is 99% glass and only 1% of that foldable area these are always nonstarters. The price is trash for a screen that's inferior....😒
I'd like them to stay with the rounded corners instead of following the design of the Ultra series. My ZFold5 is way more comfortable to hold than my S23 Ultra was. I do like the fact that the overall design includes it getting wider. I really hope they include S Pen functionality on the outer screen. That would make it the perfect phone for me. The cameras for what I use them for are good enough so any improvement will be nice.

I have the fold 3 from its day one release & I'm looking forward to the 6. One issue the community should be talking about is overheating. Im finding the phone heats up during normal use faster on unfolded mode with the 2 screens stacked together. For what its worth, I would assume this is actually a design issue overall unfortunately despite the unique bigger screen I enjoy. Heat kills the battery & so does using 2 screens. No win. However I just cant find it in me to go back to a regular Galaxy

Have you seen the inside of an s24 ultra or s23 ultra? That camera hardware takes up like half the internal space. It's a massive camera module. It's physically bigger than the z fold 5 in current form
I hope the front screen doesn't end up huge. You dont need a massive front screen when you have that one inside. Will just take away one handed use.
The Fold camera is fine. I'm at the point where if unless it's a revolutionary difference, i'm not getting an upgrade with the camera in mind.
I want a better aspect ratio. I want a bigger or at least more conventionally sized cover screen. That narrow remote control-like design is a hinderance.

What I want in a Samsung foldable is basically the Honor Magic V2 with a pen in the phone and support for the pen on both displays and ultra series level camera.
One of the main reasons I have not upgraded from my zfold 4 is the cameras they need to be upgraded to the ones on the s21 ultra at least ill have to see the new zfold 6 might upgrade if they have a really great deal

Gonna ride it out with the Fold 5 this year. Hopefully with the 7 there will be a battery and camera upgrade.
S-pen and s24 camera wider front screen are my main things we need I've been a ZF user for past 3 yrs and definitely needs those upgrade

The honor v2 has almost the same specs and that in their second generation and an inferior chip.
I've been a note user for a very long time and if honor had an integrated pen i would change immediately.
I'll have to wait but i think Samsung should really listen to what we want because others are.
I will not be upgrading until the camera improves. It is a noticeable difference compared to the S line. Fold wash out everything. Don't even bother zooming

@@CJKnowsTECH for sure. You always cop when they first drop so you probably never pay attention when they have that sale. I got zf4 and 5 for 600 (plus trade in with the most value) . To make a short story long, they drop price from 1800 to 1600 (every year), and for a short amount of time give you $1000 for trade in depending on the device.. bringing it to 600.

Why cant the Z Fold be called the Note Fold? And a bigger battery for better battery life is kind of a must. The narrow screen, not using the inside screen as much as I thought I would and battery life are the reasons I traded my Z Fold 3 after 6 months.
I love the z fold 5 but I hate the front screen. It's too narrow. I can't wait for fold 6 if they are making that front screen wider 5:12
Im not going to hold you bro. The zflip5 is my favorite device. I have the 14PM as my main phone. But the tiny flip5 is a great 2nd carry. I tried the fold but it was too big. I couldn't carry 2 giant phones my airpod pro case battery bank, keys and wallet in my pockets at the same time 😢 something had to give so I gave up on the fold and kept the flip now im super happy. Love the videos and can't wait see the redesign. Will samsung make me upgrade my flip5 after only a year? We shall see.

Nothing will ruin the upcoming Z Fold.
There are features that I would like to see, but if you were happy enough with your Fold then, not giving it something it never had in the first place isn't going to ruin it.
We're not discussing features that are taken away.
In the future I'd like to see the aspect ratio become more square (even more than the upcoming Fold 6), and apps to be optimized so that they won't open in a letterbox like they do on the Pixel Fold.
I also want to see them include the S Pen finally.

I'm not being funny, I'm not going to complain about the Cameras. Cause y'all whined for the Note Line, so Samsung gave y'all the Ultra. Now y'all are complaining about the Fold not having the Ultra Camera. Let me remind everyone, Samsung Plan was to get Rid of the Galaxy S and Note Line, when they first Announced the Note Edge and gave us a Peek at the Concept of the Fold. This was their Plan once the Fold came out. Yet they couldn't, cause Note Fans wanted the Note, then Samsung messed up and got in on the Budget Phone Wagon. Which gave us the J, M, A, Mega and now Ultra Lines. We would have the Best Samsung Foldable and Cameras if y'all would learn to give Technology a chance and Samsung would quit trying to follow the Trends.
