I liked his Lex more than Clark. They did a good job of illustrating how Clark might be responsible for some of Lex going dark even if it wasn't intentional.
Rosenbaum was so good on Smallville that it made you forget how stupid it was that Lex Luthor was living in Smallville and was friends with Clark Kent.
I am on a binge re watch. Even though I know better, I keep hoping to see Lex again. The legacy of Lex still drives the suspense. Cameos of future Supers is cute, but the threat of Lex is what keeps/ kept me watching.
He was such an awesome villain and character. I always feared for Clark because Michael always felt like such a dangerous character. You even loved his character and hated his character at different times. I think my favorite characters of the show was Michael and John Glover.
I love putting principles before money. It's a good way to separate the people who only care about money. They cannot fathom someone turning down money to stand for something. I was supposed to get a small settlement from a car accident. Some guy was driving with his dog and got distracted. He hit me by accident. My lawyer said Child Support intervened and will have a hold on the settlement once it is settled. The money would go to my baby's mother, not me. Also, the lawyer would most likely have to be compensated by me as well, not from the settlement. I told the lawyer to drop the entire claim. I don't want that woman getting a penny from me. NOBODY GOT PAID.
3:50 See, the way that story started, with all the "ohh we love you so much", I thought "The offer" was going to include "come do these 3 seasons and we'll help make that movie happen." Like, that's how you get loyalty from people.
Longmire was great! It was like a more serious “Justified”. Michael Rosenbaum was terrific as Lex Luthor! Him and Tom Welling were Superman and Luthor of a new generation!
“More serious Justified…?” Huh? Longmire was a soap opera for people who couldn’t get into Justified, which was a far better show with infinitely better leads in Olyphant and Goggins.
Gene is a great Lex and captures the ego perfectly. But Michael is my favorite Lex. He nails the darker essence of Lex with just enough light at times early in the series to make you love him. While I enjoy him doing the classic Byrne business man Lex at times I wanted the genius Lex to do more tech rather than out source it. Too bad they did go back with a counter saying he would do 6 episode for the price of a year salary on the show in the final season so we got a full Return of Lex
I really think Rosenbaum was the best-portrayed Lex Luthor, and I hope to see an aged version of his Lex in the future. Truly, my villain dream team would be Rosenbaum and Hamill (who is the best Joker across all media) starring in the same show (movie, TV series, video game, etc.).
Hands down the best Lex Luthor portrayed on the small or big screen. He brought a complexity and struggle beyond just being a villain.
I agree. I always enjoyed his performance.
Better than Gene Hackman ? - You must be kidding

Michael is an amazing actor and was incredible as Lex. 🎉
So many of us have been in that position, good for him!
Rosenbaum was a brilliant Lex Luthor. They were crazy for not paying him fairly to stay.
I used to love Smallville and I particularly enjoyed the Lex Luther character
Grew up watching Smallville. Loved this show..sucks they didn't pay Lex!
Michael made the right call. The writing on Smallville was going downhill like an avalanche. S10 should have happened, it was so bad.
Rosenbaum was so good on Smallville that it made you forget how stupid it was that Lex Luthor was living in Smallville and was friends with Clark Kent.
Michael was the star of Smallville hands down. Once he left, the show was over for me.
Didn't he stay until Season 10??
@ No. He left after season 7 and returned for the final episode in season 10 although his part in the season 10 finale was minuscule.
He was great as Luthor!!!
I am on a binge re watch. Even though I know better, I keep hoping to see Lex again. The legacy of Lex still drives the suspense. Cameos of future Supers is cute, but the threat of Lex is what keeps/ kept me watching.
Amazing actor. Hands down the best Lex portrayal in TV show or movie history
Is Starbuck interviewing Lex Luther?… nice 👍🏼
When he came back it’s like he never left.
“Nooo! You’re ruining our scene!”
“I hate you right now and I hate your family.”
He was such an awesome villain and character. I always feared for Clark because Michael always felt like such a dangerous character. You even loved his character and hated his character at different times. I think my favorite characters of the show was Michael and John Glover.
The show wasn't that great, but Michael is the best live-action Lex Luthor we have to date.
Best Lex EVER!!!! Him and Tom had great chemistry and him and Mr.Glover
“More serious Justified…?”
Huh? Longmire was a soap opera for people who couldn’t get into Justified, which was a far better show with infinitely better leads in Olyphant and Goggins.
@ I agree, Justified was way better. I meant that unlike Longmire it had a more darkly comedic tone.
He KILLED IT. It was probably the most interesting part of the show.
Hated and was terrified of Lex on Smallville. He is such a great actor!!
You don't realize how great he was until you see Michael's real personality. He's a real goof ball but can really be a great dramatic actor.
Missed Lex…he is the lore of superman 🎉❤😊
Smallville and Michael were both great! I loved the show and felt it wasn’t as good when he left.
Loved to hate Lex Luthor - played by Michael Rosenbaum. He was a very intriguing character. He was the best.
He was an excellent Lex Luther
Awesome interview Michael is very down to earth
Hands down he is the best lex Luthor ❤
Gene is a great Lex and captures the ego perfectly. But Michael is my favorite Lex. He nails the darker essence of Lex with just enough light at times early in the series to make you love him. While I enjoy him doing the classic Byrne business man Lex at times I wanted the genius Lex to do more tech rather than out source it.
Too bad they did go back with a counter saying he would do 6 episode for the price of a year salary on the show in the final season so we got a full Return of Lex
A man's got to have his principles. Good on him.
Best Lex Luthor. Ever. Dude should be the guy on the big screen!!!
Grest interview. Love your show - and his!
