I think it would be interesting to bring Nicholas back after he has played the role, to have a conversation on the contrasts between what he took away from the role being in a condensed film format compared to you with the episodic exploration of the character.

The way he handled it is an indication of how great and empathetic Michael is. As a neewbie actor myself, seeing Nicholas smiling and feeling heard is the perfect interaction between two people, two actors. I'll also add that's a great way for filmmakers to build trust with their cast. That way the actors will be comfortable enough to be vulnerable when the camera's rolling. Bravo, Michael 👏🏻
This episode was so lovely, probably one of my favorite episodes to date. 🥺 I’m hoping that Nicholas Hoult and James Gunn both agreeing that Michael’s Lex was the best is a good sign for how Lex is going to be presented in the movie. Really looking forward to Hoult's version of Lex. He's a great actor; did an amazing job as Beast, so we already know he's got some cachet in the superhero genre. fury Road is one of my favorite movies and Nux was such a great character in that; very likable and tragic in so many ways - easily the best character in the movie as far as I'm concerned. Dude just seems like a genuine and likable guy. Really hope he makes good on his promise to come back to the pod. Great job as always Rosey!
Nicholas >James Bond I think he's such a great actor he could pull any role off. I started watching the great by accident, and what an outrageous script, extremely funny performances, and a show that can be heart wrenching and uplifting. Can't say enough about The Great. Michael your still number 1 Lex, however Nicholas will definitely give you a run for you money.
It always kind of makes me smile a little bit whenever two like well-known or semi-well known actors meet and it turns out they're actually fans of eachother. It just creates such an interesting, human atmosphere I think. Also Rosenbaum is really good as an interviewer (when he doesn't talk over his guests). But he really kind of seems to create a really good vibe that makes these people actually like being there, just talking like a regular human person.
What a lovely interview with a lovely guy. Great one Rosey! I love how much reverence Nicholas has for those who played the role before him. I'm so glad there are actors who will watch previous iterations of a popular character they will be playing. It gives me hope for a faithful adaptation.
I'm currently half way through Smallville reruns. I loved the show when it was first on. Always been a huge fan and supporter of Michael's. A couple of years ago I was really struggling with mental health and anxiety issues. I was spending a lot of time in solitude in a bad thinking pattern. I put Smallville on and it really helped take my mind off all the things that I was struggling with, which led me to the podcast which led me to getting better, getting healthier, mentally and physically. Without knowing it, Michael really helped me out of myself and to now living a much better life. The little things that have a knock on effect onto the big things. Nicholas Holt was absolutely brilliant in the Great. Really enjoyed it. Such a good actor and really funny too.

1:07:55 ahah well done Michael for inviting yourself to the premiere 😂 Personally I will go at the premiere to Paris to the Grand Rex (because I'm French) but I hope that Michael you will really be there (we will see that the day of its release...), anyways, you really deserve to be invited because you are and will always be the best Lex Luthor (try to bring Tom Welling with you? It would be funny and nice to see you both at the premiere)
That was actually a really fantastic low key impression of Anthony Hopkins to be fair. He got his very light Welsh accent and his intonations just right and even stared off into the distance, like Sir Anthony does when he's being himself. That was dead on.
Michael I think your take on Lex is one of the finest examples of his character ever. Few actors can portray a character so skillfully as to make them feel both confident and controlling yet emotionally vulnerable and sympathetic but you managed it with Your portrayal. I also loved you as Wally West. If Kevin Conroy was the voice of Batman you are truely the voice of Wally West. I can't count the number of times I've rewatch the JLU episode flash and substance.

This is awesome. Michael, you were hands down, the absolute best Lex. And it’s so brilliant to see you talking to the next Lex. Nicholas is a fantastic actor and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does.
Lex interviewing Lex. I love it!!
Nicholas >James Bond
I think he's such a great actor he could pull any role off.
Nicholas you have become my favorite person to see on screen recently, Keep it coming🎉❤
Micheal in 2001 I was 2 😂 my Mother was a huge fan and actually introduced me to the show ❤ god bless her soul and god bless you guys 🎉
What a lovely interview with a lovely guy. Great one Rosey! I love how much reverence Nicholas has for those who played the role before him. I'm so glad there are actors who will watch previous iterations of a popular character they will be playing. It gives me hope for a faithful adaptation.
Thank You Michael for your interviews.
Lex talking to Lex about Lex. Love it! Please interview David Corenswet next. He has a new movie coming out next month so now’s the perfect time. I really want to know more about the new Man of Steel.
What is his latest movie called?
@@prathapkutty7407 The Greatest Hits. It comes to Hulu in April.

One of my favorite actors and the reasons are on full display. Very amiable dude, underrated yet not at the same time.
Loved this interview; he seems like a genuinely cool, chilled and intelligent guy. Great job! 🎉
That was actually a really fantastic low key impression of Anthony Hopkins to be fair. He got his very light Welsh accent and his intonations just right and even stared off into the distance, like Sir Anthony does when he's being himself. That was dead on.
I’m so excited to see his Lex. He was so damn good in “Skins” and I really enjoyed him in X-Men. And working with James Gunn? Great combo!
41:02 Knowing when to maintain privacy is also emotional intelligence! And respect for your own history!
I love Hoult, he's great in everything he does.
I’m actually very excited for Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. It’s so heartwarming that Hoult said his favourite Lex is Micheal’s Lex
He was so great in Warm Bodies! Great movie and actor!
Love love Michael. Listening to Nicholas talk, his charm and charisma - he could easily play Superman.
