Thanks for posting this Paul. I just bought a 2010 CRV with 107k miles on it, and was wondering how to do some of this maintenance myself. Thanks for the incredibly detailed video!
A couple things you missed on this video: 1. Transmission Filter ($12 part) should have been changed at the same time as the fluid. 2. The new right angle Oil plug is excessively low and could be an easy break-off for some of the stupid speed bumps out there in the parking lots. 3. A magnetic oil drain plug should have been installed, just like in the transmission.... you'd be amazed at the grit it collects. 4. When you started the engine up.... my ears were deafened by the sound of your tappets(valves) ... yours needed adjustment badly. I have over 200K miles on my 2008 CRV EXL and it purrs like a kitten and hope to have it till the electric CRV comes available in a few years. A great teaching video for newbies, glad to see your daughter there interested in the car...
I don’t know anything about the fuel filter for this vehicle but, yes, I would change the spark plugs. Here is my video on how to do that ruclips.net/video/0DVOQUa-fno/видео.html
The rear differential fluid change was not due at this interval. Here is a link to my playlist and you can see the rear differential fluid change as well as other things. It has electric steering so there is no power steering fluid. 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD ruclips.net/p/PL0pAqdmfaJaIsZr8xUNNvONksOC8Bc-ll
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Quick question, since it has been a few months now. Any leaks after putting the Fumoto Valve? I am thinking about doing this to both of my cars.
I just drained a 2010 CRV transmission with 42K on it. I DID NOT EVEN PUT IT ON JACKS AS IT IS UNNECCESARY. It drained 3.5 QUARTS. The fluid is the original factory transmission fluid. How is that possible.? Honda lists 2.7 qts per drain.

You’re welcome!
Amazing demonstration! I wish i had someone like you to teach me. Keep up the good work and may that Honda live forever 🎉
Thank you. I hope the videos help you.
You are, sir, an amazing Dad!

Very helpful I was going to take it to the dealer for the transmission but I can do this. 2007 CRV 160,000 miles.
Yes, you can! Let me know how it goes for you.
Thank you for your time good sir. I have this same car but it’s a 2011
You’re welcome!
Informative tips. Thanks
You’re welcome.
Great video, Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome!
Thanks for sharing. Could you please share how to change the side mirror caps? It'll helps me a lot!
You’re welcome. I’m sorry I can’t help you with the side mirrors. I do not have this vehicle anymore.
Just wondering about fuel filter and spark plugs. Do they need replacing in a 100k service?

Hi. Can you drain the oil and then replace the oil filter (so you don't get oil splashing out)?
Yes, you can drain the oil/remove the oil filter in any order. You will still get initial spillage from the filter either way.
Rear differential fluid change? Or is it an FWD model?
Might want to also flush the brake fluid and change the power steering fluid.

I've never known anyone who takes the oil filter off first before draining the oil. What's the advantage of that? Thanks for a great tutorial video!
You’re welcome. The order that you do things, whether you drain the oil or remove the oil filter first, does not matter.
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Quick question, since it has been a few months now. Any leaks after putting the Fumoto Valve? I am thinking about doing this to both of my cars.
I have used Fumoto valves on 5 vehicles over 16 years of use and never had any issues
