- In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how I made this modern DIY Trendy Palm Leaf cake. I also show you how I made the chocolate decorations, applied the edible gold leaf and finally applied the buttercream stencil. I absolutely adore these designs and highly recommend giving it a try! If you can cut paper and accordian fold it, you can do this;)

Very pretty cake, could you use wafer paper for the fans or would it be too brittle?
You can, and I have, but it can be a little hard to get the crisp folds. If you do and they do break at the folds, brush a tiny bit of water on the break and hold it together. It should mend itself that way;)

Hello how do u get the chocolate foam balls to not melt or smodge while placing it on the cake ? Do u let it dry in the freezer or fridge
