Sure, I've seen some people conclude the larger, cheaper, better battery life Odin 2 is for them, but that's skipping pocketability entirely, Wich would be fair if they explained this isn't pocketable, but they don't. Of course the drawbacks of miniled vs a proper microLED or oled have been discussed. Like when Russ thinks portability, it's GKD Pixel, the tiny horizontal Trim UI, the SP or not larger than RG35xxH. idk, for someone who gets the psp and vita, it's kinda odd
I'm so torn guys.. I've been a handheld user my entire life and have been wanting to get into PC gaming. I was thinking about purchasing a higher-end Minisforum mini PC for $600-$800 but then this thing came out. I'm a sucker for aesthetics and nostalgia and this thing just looks so good. But for the price, I'm really not sure if I should skip out on this and just get a PC I've been eyeing.
The PC I REALLY want is the Ayaneo Flip DS. But it's out of my budget and Minisforum offers better performing PCs at a better price. Though I'd be stuck at a desk lol

Having recently got a Steam Deck I've no plans on getting another gaming handheld anytime soon. Normally this makes me avoid reviews of similar devices so I don't feel tempted by them, but yours are so relaxing and fun to listen to that I often put them on in the background anyway. Thanks for making them!
If you want to carry something that does emulation but you want it to be smaller than the steam deck then I recommend it that's why I bought mine, so I can use it at theme park lines or when I go to the grocery store with my wife 😂
@@LazyTeeRex It looks really amazing for that kind of thing, but for me it isn't enough to justify buying another device. My 3DS is pretty good for very portable gaming, unless of course there's even a hint of sun...Which isn't usually an issue where I live 😅

Mini vs Deck, is like choosing between devices that compliment each other to grab one or the other for different uses. If you prioritize portability, mini, for everything else Steam Deck. Odin 2 vs Steam Deck makes sense, since both are baggable, not pocketable. There is light, battery vs performance & support.
@@TechDweeb I think we got spoiled by the MM/MM+. I always respected how cleverly Miyoo made a seemingly cheap screen look pretty much bezeless on 3 sides. Actually, I was never interested much in handhelds because the screens are too small, and I don’t want to dock them to my tv. What’s changed my mind is the arrival of AR glasses. I’m going to buy a handheld now, and I need to choose which one to get, and whether I will go with the Viture Pro or the Xreal Air2 (thanks for your “Viture Pro glasses that don’t suck” review).

I Love the size but I don’t really like the design. I LOVE the way the Odin 2 looks and I wish they would have just shrunk that down to a 5in screen instead of making it look like a knock off vita. Still pretty cool to have all the power in a tiny little thing like that though.

We need an Android flip console with a large 4:3 screen, like 7 inches, with a mini version of 6 perhaps. 7 inches in 4:3, for example, allows a 6.5 inch 16:9, while a 7 inch 16:9 screen only allows 5.7 in 4:3. Another point is that a 4:3 flip allows for a smaller size, in this 7 inch example it would only need approximately 16cm, it still fits in your pocket... if it is a 6 inch version then around 14cm. The idea of the flip does not exclude the desire for horizontal consoles with larger 4:3 screens, just the flip allows for a much larger screen without increasing to the sides, in addition to better ergonomics.
