    Thanks for this video, Jarrad... I've been sitting here for a couple days now researching whether or not my 2011 Sorento will accept an LED conversion kit like this and if the dust cover will still go back on just fine. This video helped me finally make a decision, and actually, I went ahead and ordered the same bulbs you did, thanks to your provided link to them on Amazon. I had been considering some that are twice the price, but same lumens, etc.
    I'll find out in a couple days if these work fine on my Sorento, but it's only a year older than yours, so I'm not too worried.
    Thanks, man!

      Installed mine last night, and they work like a charm! We'll see how well they do over time, but I'm not too concerned since you said you've had yours since last September with no problems, so far...and yes, they do make a big difference! Nice, bright, white light. I have yet to see how they look out on a dark highway out of town, but I'm sure they'll look great.

    Hey quick question. I see some places recommend to install (for Kias like the Optima and Sorento) a canbus / anti-flicker module inline before the driver for the LED bulb. Did you find it flickering or giving you any dashboard lights or anything? Great vid too!

    • @jarradpinestraw
      @jarradpinestraw  5 лет назад

      @sharp_angus thanks for commenting. I haven't had any trouble with any of the bulbs I have listed in the description and I haven't had to install anything extra either. No flickering has ever occurred nor any other issues.

    Great video! I have an 2016 Sorento EX V6 and wanted to get LED (I think mine takes H7). The only 2 things I was worried about was if I could close the dust cap (it looks like you can) and the heat dissipation. How is the temperature of the headlight compartment now? I'm worried if it gets too hot, it might deform the housing.

    • @jarradpinestraw
      @jarradpinestraw  6 лет назад +1

      Mojogasm Thanks! The dust cap closes just fine with enough room for the built in fan on the led to circulate the air without smothering the fan out. As far as heat they still get hot, but I feel like the halogen bulbs were hotter than these. I also just checked and the dust cap nor anywhere else shows any burns or melting. I think the fan on the back really helps and theres so much room the extra wiring can go just about any where in the headlight housing. Haven't had any issues with them yet. I'm now trying to get led lights for the fog lights and high beams. They make a huge difference.

      Thanks for the video I have 2016 Sorento SXL and hate the yellow halogen headlights in contrast to the LED DLRs & Fog light. I was also worried about where to place the wiring, thought I might have to make a hole on the dust cap, like when I had HID's installed on a 2002 Sonata. Thanks to your video I can buy and install new LEDs with ease.

    Im way late to this conversation lol.... But that small box the led comes with, i see you put inside the headlight. Have you had any issues with it heating up and melting, or catching fire? I have a similiar one from amazon and that little box thats attached to the wiring gets Hot.

    Hi Jarrad, I may be almost 3 years late, I have a problem understanding the H11 (H9,H8) Led bulbs. Am looking to install it on the same car on your video, the Kia Sorento XM 2011..so which one is the bulbs for the example (left headlamp assembly- the left side near the turn signal and the middle one, i dont know is it called the low beam and high beam)? Many thanks

      +josias Perez Thanks, I have seen many different rear brake led lights on the market, but I haven't used any of them yet. If I decide to upgrade to led brake lights I will most definitely make a video on it and link the bulbs I use. I did recently upgrade my fog lights to led and used this weird brand led bulb from Amazon (amzn.to/2Gx6fWL) . They look great and shine really bright. I wanted to do an install video, but my camera couldn't reach that far down under the hood.

    hey man i got a kia optima 2013 lx im new to this whole car thing and i have absolutely no clue how to install these turbo leds i bought off amazon for $30. the connector is completely different than the one in the car and its not a plug, it is hardwired into the bulb so i have no clue how this stuff works. amazon said it could fit my vehicle but that is not the case if i am forced to have to do some conversion method, if so do u know how i would do that and what adapters i may need. the leds are h11 turbo led by winpower

    • @jarradpinestraw
      @jarradpinestraw  2 года назад

      Hi, sorry I am not sure. It sound like you may need an adapter kit. All the lights I purchase have the same connectors as the stock lights.

      thanks for informing me about the link. I just checked and it looks like they are out of stock and the seller removed the listing for now. I will fix the link once I see that the seller gets more in stock as well. I have just updated the info to include alternatives that I know work really good as well. I currently am still using the ones in the video with no issues at all, but I have installed these alternatives in other vehicles and they look amazing too.
      Alternative LED bulbs that also work just as good if not better:
