You don't need to mess with your audio settings like this guy and 87.1 isn't a special channel what's actually getting rid of the static is choosing a broadcasting channel that's not a local radio station in your area T0 lower interference in my town 101.7 works the best but if I drive an hour north it gets static and I need to go to to 87.5

this is garbage lol. Your transmitter doesn't go to 87.1, and bass and treble have nothing to do with the radio signal. These things just work better in some places than others, that's it. Only some allow for sub 88.0 frequencies. I live near Vancouver, near the Washington border. It's a dense area with lots of stations, and it's just not a great place for them, unless you have a transmitter with international mode to reach sub 88.0 frequencies. But even that isn't static free depending where you live.
If you have too much static, the best option honestly is to just buy a decent bluetooth speaker, and play your phone's music through that. Some of them sound pretty damn good compared to a cars audio system, albeit mono. Or you can get stereo bluetooth speakers for stereo.

@user-sw9ng5jy1n hey, honestly, if you live in an area with too much radio traffic, its really hard to get these to work consistently on any station. The best solution I found, is to simply use a bluetooth speaker to play your music. They cost some money, and the sound is mono (unless you get a bluetooth stereo pair of speakers), but it still sounds really good, especially versus a static signal. And then you don't have to worry about it dropping out, and the signal is perfect 100% of the time no matter where you live. Battery life on these speakers is usually very good. Mine goes about 20 hours of playing audio before I need to charge it.
