You rock brother. All I needed to see was how that retaining ring goes 5:48 . My low beam went out on the LED over the holiday break and when I replaced it I forgot that ring. I just inserted the bulb housing into the pre-molded weather stripping that is in the outer chrome ring. It fit fairly snug and I put it back together. Done a couple of rips down the interstate and it came out of alignment, the last time it fell back into the housing, at night which sucked. I came home and looked at the online HD parted department exploded view and there it was, the illusive retaining ring. I had planned to go to HD and order one on Saturday being that HD probably wouldn't have one in stock for an older FXSTDI. So I came home today and did a cold start in the garage and glances over at a box sitting there and there it as. Can you say senior moment? I pulled the headlight off and took it inside, to the kitchen (cold in the garage) and attempted to figure out how this thing holds the bulb housing to the outer chrome ring. I was way off course, it just didn't make sense to me so I jumped onto RUclips, opened up 3 videos that looked promising, yours being the last of the three, but I watched yours first and mystery resolved. Sucks getting old.

Is the bulb 💡 on a 2002 Harley Davidson sporters a change 💡 or is it the hole light it self my low beam has went out but I do still have a high beam

I am pretty sure it’s a light bulb and housing lens. Just remove the bulb and autozone will have it in stock.
