I've tested Maybelline's foundation (I also have REALLY pale skin) and it is a total disaster. Like you said, it's very orangy and darker than our skin color and, on me, for some reason, it oxidizes along my jaw line and I ended up with this orange line on my face, even though I blended it like crazy. I also tried Revlon's Color Stay in 220 and 180 last week in the makeup store and it still seems dark to me??? I think I'll just start using white bodypaint...
bronagh fallon Yeah. The Revlon foundations are pretty pink, and my undertone is pink, so I end up looking like a tomato. As for the Maybelline, they are SUPER yellow. Makes my face look completely different from my body. Ugh
A. Downey I'm pretty pale too, perhaps not Casper...ish but I have had luck with Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation, though a bit thick at first application, it does blend nicely and it IS sweat proof which I love (darn hot flashes)..good luck to all us "palefaces" (grin)
Marilyn Alvarez really? I'll look for it and give it a try then! Sweat proof is awesome (god damn tropical countries)! Thanks for the tip! Good luck! Hahah
I love your personality, and I thought your video was helpful. I'm running out of the Lancome foundation that I currently have and I don't want to keep spending over $40 for foundation when I can purchase others that are just as good, so this really helped.
I LOVE Flower cosmetics! Their powder foundation is the best, and I mean the best of everything drugstore to high end! I will def be trying the liquid foundation out! Thank you, another great video!
Thanks Zabrena! I'm gonna refer back to this video in the future when I need to buy foundation. I didn't know that the L'Oreal Dream Lumi could work for oily skin, I guess the name "Lumi" threw me for a loop and I thought it would turn me into an oil slick :). I too have oily skin and dry patches, my dry patches being on my nose and under my eyes, so having this to refer to saves me a lot of trouble in the future. Thanks again!
Manic panic dreamtone in Virgin. This is a white mixer type foundation that you just add a drop or two to a foundation you really like but is just too dark. I discovered this product on ShanShortcakeBeauty she also is pale skinned so you might find some good finds with her too! It's fairly inexpensive too.
+indysalafisister Oh, brilliant! I didn't know such a thing existed have so many foundations that are supposedly porcelain or fair, and they are all too dark. I'm going to hunt this down on Amazon right now. :)
I absolutely love your eye makeup in this video! ♥♥♥ The combination of the warm toned color in the crease with the silvery gray lid color is so unique and looks gorgeous! I'd love to see a tutorial for this eye look ;)
I love watching you do face products because I am as pale with similar undertones and I think you have similar oxidation problems that I do. Thanks for being so in depth!
Just wanted to say thank you for going that extra mile in telling us the littlest details, for example with the LUMI foundation. The two applications I have tried were disappointing although it has been recommended for my maturing/dry skin. Since you so graciously pointed out that dry skin may need to be exfoliated to get the best result it's now working for me.
+Katelyn Higgins i do too! LOVE it! even on mature skin, it's great! I thought the natural Ivory was the lightest, it is very light on me so i may have some more warm tones in my skin than i thought
+Patrick Star I've used it for over a year, I live in California, it gets pretty hot where I'm at. I have horribly oily skin, I use the foundation and the powder, and it stays on until I take it off at night. I've told people I have oily skin and they don't believe me because this foundation works SO WELL!! however, I do have problems with it making me look too matte but I'd rather that over oily!!
I keep forgetting Drew Barrymore has a makeup collection at Walmart. They need to make a nice big poster or something so that it catches my eye because I always seem to just walk right by it lol
One foundation that I have recently tried and love is the covergirl aqua smooth foundation. It's a pressed creme compact foundation. It has full coverage (if applied with a brush) and last a long time. It has a matte finish, yet it feels moisturizing on the skin. I know you said you don't like covergirl, but you might like that one. It comes with a little sponge applicator, but that makes the coverage sheer. I use a flat top kabuki brush to apply it, and I love it! I have oily acne prone skin, and it covers everything.
I'm pretty fair skined myself and I've been wearing Loreal infallible pro matte in classic ivory. I LOVE this foundation. Lasts a really long time and doesny look cakey.
Revlon color stay whipped foundation has a very pale shade that's even too white for myself. I had to go with the second one in buff so that I wouldn't look like a total piece of paper. Check it out!
Jennifer Cunha Coming from someone who has combination skin, the colorstay whipped clings to every dry patch, and the lightest shade is very gray toned :(
J Shapiro I have extremely dry skin aswell but as long as I moisturize beforehand I have no problems with that foundation. The lightest shade is very pale but I didn't notice anything about a grey undertone to it but then again I didn't have it for very long before I switched it for the color up for spring.
J Shapiro I have a warm undertone, maybe that makes a difference? Idk. But if you need to make a foundation paler in color I highy suggest mixing manic panic Dreamtone foundation in virgin white. It helps lighten your current foundation to a shade that matches. Its my holy grail product for pale girls.
I'm super pale and Maybelline fit me matte and Poreless in Porcelain matches me perfectly, doesn't oxidize, and has a semi-matte finish on me. I have oily skin and it wears pretty much all day! (I do have to blot but I have yet to find a foundation where I don't need to do that)
Amanda Johnson I liked how pale the shade is as it is very difficult to find pale drugstore foundations, but this foundation looked awful on the skin too me. It could just be the fact that I'm used to the natural finish of asian BB creams but this foundation accentuated my pores and made me look super dry and my skin isn't even that dry. It also looked super heavy :(
I also have combination skin ! Lately i'm loving Revlon colorstay foundation ! It is made for combo/oily skin. I'm in shade 340 early tan. I have been mixing it with Loreal true match Lumi in shade nat. beige W4 warm ! I have an olive complexion. This stuff is amazing !!!!! It last i know at least 6-8 hours, Hardly any shine breakthrough's , Full coverage too !
I love the loreal lumi in w1-2 but it is a tad dark for me so I have to blend it down my neck and chest. But applied with the real techniques sponge is a gift from heaven! It doesn't look cakey and it's so nice and thin. No oxidization! I would love to see a video on your foundation shade comparisons. For example in Mac you are a NW15 or NC20 etc etc.
This youtube review is so perfectly composed because most people don't actually show the foundation on their face. Additionally the quality is phenomenally HD, looks like HD times 3 😂. You also make the video so appealing because you're so beautiful!! You skin is so perfect and I really love your eye makeup. Omg your eyes are so gorgeous!
I just started watching her, and I'm literally fascinated with this channel! I use a lot of drugstore makeup and these "Frugal Fridays" are so funny and helpful!
I adore Revlon Colorstay Whipped, but I have to use one shade up. 150 Buff is the perfect match, but it clings to dry spots like no other. I've tried adding moisturizer to help the consistency, but it's very sheer when I apply it with a brush and so streaky when I use my fingers. 200 Sand Beige is a little dark, but not orange and when I use my Real Techniques sponge, it blends out PERFECTLY, this shade is also not as sheer even though I'm using a sponge. I've never timed the wear of these, but when I use my Neutrogena makeup wipes, there is more product on the wipe when I use 200. Having oily skin, translucent powder is a must, regardless of what I wear. I highly recommend Ben Nye's face powder. I only paid $9 for a 3 ounce bottle, keep your old powder trays like the Revlon Photoready powders so you can dump it into.
I have the L'Oreal Lumi and like it a lot. My skin is normal to dry. I find that wearing a primer greatly improves the appearance and wear. My best color is a mix o C3 & N3. One of the great things about this product is the range of shades and that they are categorized by warm, neutral & cool.
I have 3 favorites. 1. Covergirl 3 in 1. I have super oily skin, like 5 mins after going out i look out i look like i just walked through grease. But it is a medium coverage foundation that makes my skin look flawless. & after i set it with a powder my face looks matte for hours. 2. Infallible Pro Matte Foundation. Once again I have super oily skin and it keeps me matte. Only complaint is that i bought one of their lighter shades bc i'm kinda pale and it wasn't light at all & it looked really orange on my skin. Went back, got another one that was lighter and it worked amazingly. 3. L'oreal True Match the regular one. It's defiantly more of a liquidy foundation and it's not as full coverage. But when my skin is looking better and I don't want something super heavy it's perfect. When i first tried it, it broke me out really bad and gave me the deep acne that hurt. But whenever i wear it i just make sure to wash it off really well and tone my face and do a full face cleanse and I have no problems now :)
I'm so happy to finally see someone talk about the brand Rimmel!!!! They make a few Great mascara's from $4-$8... Their fiber lengthening mascara(I think?) it's black with a bright kinda neon green cap. This has been my must have drug store mascara for year's! But now I'm seeing all the other drug store brand's coming out with the same type of formula so they claim.. exp:"10X's the length/volume fiber lash extending mascara" so I want to try some out. I've been wanting to know about their other makeup products though really bad! & you are the First to test or talk about the brand that I've seen & I have watched over 100 drug store tutorials the past 2 month's I started watching them. Best concealer tutorial I've seen also!! Good job... I've been trying to find one forever now & you even tried the Loreal blur concealer I been using a few year's also nobody else has talked about before? anything that can blur my fine lines & not crease or cake up I want to see it!! The L.A. Girl pro concealer I ordered since their cheap & highly recommended. Ummm I don't hate it but I don't love it either? nothing special about it to me? I think I'm going to get the Lumi one you liked! Everyone claims the Maybelline under eye corrector concealer I think it's called? the one with the sponge on it.. is The Best? Idk Lol..
I use the Palladio foundations because my skin is very oily and I found one who finally matches my skintone (a weird mix between fair skin and warm undertones) and doesn't oxidize. I'm not sure if it's cruelty free but it has herbal ingredients also it covers imperfections very well.
New Subscriber here. I enjoy the way your present yourself on the videos, so fun and lively and perky! I also love your series Frugal Friday. I am loving the fact that you are honest with your reviews and that you look like you really enjoy what you are doing. Keep vlogging! :) I am about to finish half of your videos in one sitting :)
I am fair and have tried ten tons of foundations. The one that I am really loving is the NYC Smooth Skin foundation. It is nearly impossible to get the product out of the bottle without a tool, but once you do...AMAZING!
The NYX on is amazing! I noticed at first that it does look white at first but it oxidizes and sets to the actual shade. Crazy enough it oxidizes in a positive way!
I LOVE my flower foundation. I also happen to love a lot of the other products in the line! Thanks for this video! I love your reviews bc I too have oily skin. Always wanting to try new things!
Thank-you Zabrena for your recommendations!!! I too have very pale skin and have a very hard time finding a good match for my skin. This has helped a lot!!!
Try the ELF ivory foundations.i have used the to fed moisturizer and the one in the square bottle and they are perfect color matches. I have oily sensitive skin and frequently cannot find something pale enough for me.
Can you do a battle of the foundation brushes? Like the sigma F80, makeup geek foundation stippling brush and the Sedona lace one. Like could you do a comparison on application, washing, drying time and quality. This could be really cool to see a series of this!
You know, I WANT so badly to love Covergirl foundations, because I LOVE the Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 formula, but EVERY SINGLE Covergirl foundation I've tried has oxidized on me. Then again, a TON of foundations oxidize on my skin. Just discovered my beloved Lancome Nude Miracle does now, too. I think I'm finally going to cave and try Estee Lauder Double Wear. Might have to look into these if I can find them! Great video, Zabrena!
If you are in the U.S. then get a sample and try it. It used to be the only foundation I would wear because it didn't oxidize, but then they changed the formula and now it does. The color match was really good, I'm still on the quest for a foundation that doesn't oxidize.
Faith Grenade I usually don't have a problem with oxidization, but he CG Outlast turned orange on me too. I really liked the formula, but I just couldn't find a shade that worked for me... :( I really wanted to like it, especially since it has a pump.
I'm every bit as fair as you & pale shades are in fact hard to come by, what's up with so much orange? Like really? And overall as far as Maybelline goes, most of their pale shades are not a match, to dark, to orange, yuck. However I've recently discovered two beautiful foundations from Maybelline. The new fit me matte in 110 & the dream wonder fluid in 110. I can't say enough good things about the dream wonder fluid. I'm beyond impressed & will be buying this again. Its similar to the YSL fluid but I truly prefer the Maybelline. I don't use a primer with it (although my Bobbie Brown hydrating cream has some primer already in it) & I got a solid 6 hours before breakthrough shine & 10 hours before I needed to touch up. & the finish is a beautiful soft matte & very natural with medium coverage. It did not settle into my fine lines & wrinkles which is a requirement. Its worth checking out. I have dry skin but hydrate well. I use bare minerals complexion rescue under foundation. I've always used tinted moisturizer under foundation, I don't know why, I just do.
I've found that the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless is awesome! I have oily skin too & it's great at controlling shine & lasts all day. I'm also fair skinned & their fair/light shades match my color fabulously. It does help cover large pores too. Since I have oily skin, I have to set it with the Fit Me, Master FX shine control loose powder or Rimmels Stay Matte translucent powders for a fantastic matte finish. I also always use ELF's Mist & Set or NYX's Stay Matte setting spray to complete the finish & longevity. I only need to touch up or use blotting papers a few times over the course of the day. Those combo's are fabulous & work great for me! 😃
I am very fair with yellow undertones and a lot of redness in my cheeks. My favorite drugstore foundations are Revlon Nearly Naked in 120 Vanilla, and Maybelline SuperStay in Sand Beige, which I have to mix with a white foundation or the Revlon to get a color match. However, the Maybelline Superstay is my favorite formula to date, including HE, so I'm willing to work with it. It's great for oily or dry skin, has good coverage, is buildable, feels like nothing, doesn't really transfer, and lasts through texas heat comfortably. The Revlon is very similar, just a bit less coverage and better shade range. Manic Panic makes a good white foundation for mixing. I buy it on amazon.
I have every single foundation you showed in this video . And in the exact same colors . I'm a very pale red head myself . Sometimes the lightest shades are still too dark for me . Love the video .
I love the maybelline dream matte mouse. Stays for a long while and light 1 is a perfect match. Have you tried it? Also the elf flawless finish with spf 15 is a favorite. Medium coverage and it stays for about 6 hours. It also has a pump!
I recently started using the Loreal Pro Matte foundation and am really loving it - has a beautiful finish. I am pale, but not as pale as you - and they have 2 shades lighter than what I wear available. It's more of a full coverage foundation. I wouldn't say it's completely matte unless you also use the Pro Matte powder - which I do because I prefer a completely matte finish. It lasts me my entire 12 hour workday, although I do have to touch up the powder once or twice for that completely matte look.
I'm surprised you can't wear the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless in 110 (the lightest) which, believe it or not, it too light for me! I've got to use 112 which is hands-down perfect. Even the MAC rep couldn't really give me a good color match. The closest she got was NC15 and that wasn't good enough for me. Oh, do try the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte in 101 - it's darn near white! That foundation is easily the best for coverage and long wear - hands-down THE best. Thanks Zabrena!!
I love the way you demo the foundation you are talking about at the time. I use the Neutrogena healthy skin enhancer and I love it with my ponds moisturizer and makeup forever hydrating primer underneath. I have been wanting to try the one in this video and think I'm going to try it after seeing this.
I just got the new Hard Candy Glamoflauge foundation. It is wonderful , at least on me & my quite oily(sometimes combo) skin. One caveat - color selection. Isn't that always the issues? I can't say if you'll find a match but what I can tell you is I'm medium(nc25 ish) and I needed the "light" color which is absolutely unheard of for me. I'm more of a beige / medium beige kinda girl. So keep That in mind. The fair just might be too dark for you...but the formula & look on your skin is gorgeous !!
I am loving this series! My fav drugstore foundation is Revlon Colorstay. I am a pale girl, too, and I love how they match my color! But, based on your video, I may venture out into other brands!
Try the elf BB cream. I have really red cheeks and it evens my skin out amazingly without feeling heavy(also 20spf). Also for really pale Rimmel lasting finish 25hr in 091 light ivory. AMAZING coverage but so pale on me. I use it as eye concealer/highlighter,(I have dark circles, and my veins are really blue on my eye lids)
I would highly recommend trying the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless foundation. I am extremely pale and I find this foundation (shade 110) is a perfect match for me. It is buildable and lasts all day and was my everyday foundation for a long time (I recently switched to MAC but it has nothing to do with the Maybelline foundation). If you are looking for a good Maybelline foundation, try that one.
Hey beautiful! I had the same problem with maybelline until they released the Fit Me Matte and Poreless and the porcelain shade works for me! :) I'm ghostly! Lol :)
Great video thank you. I am very dry and I have quite a bit of redness. So my fav drugstore foundations are neutrals a healthy skin and Loreal lift foundation. I couldn't believe the colors really matched and they last all day long.
Revlon color stay 24 hour is very good in normal/dry. I am as light as you and it is hard to find a good foundation. I use IT CC cream in fair, it looks a bit dark at first but really blends out an does not oxidize. I use to use Bobbie Brown's Porcelain 1 in the pan for a long time. It is a cream and oil free. That is the best I've ever used.
This video is so helpful for people who don't want to or can't spend their money and time trying out a bunch of foundations. I know i've had to and every time I think I find a match, I find a flaw and its usually that the foundation has been to dark for me the whole time :( . I wear the true match lumi in the same shade as you and I love it, it wears so nicely and feels really light. Love your videos Zabrena !! :)
I am also a red head and am also pale! It is so complicated to find the PERECT foundation. This is probably my favorite foundation video EVER. You actually applied it on your face which is SO darn smart. Thank you! You definitely have a new subscriber and fan out of me :)
Thank you so much for this video :) I'm also pale and I've been using a CoverGirl foundation that I noticed oxidized on me through the day, so I was needing some help on picking a new one! On a side note, thanks for the great videos, Z. Your channel has helped me gain a lot of confidence in myself recently
If you have acne prone skin like me, I would not suggest the True Match Lumi foundation from L'Oréal. I could only wear it a few times before throwing it away because every time I would wear it, it would break me out so bad. I felt like it clogged my pores and also had a shiny look to it. Overall, not good for my sensitive, acne prone skin.
I have very dry skin and the Lumi works very well for me. My ultimate favorite foundation is the revlon colorstay whipped. Oh, its so pretty ! Satin finish.
these videos from you are my absolute favorite!!! i’m very pale also and the shade 102 fair porcelain matches me from maybelline! i have it in the matte and poreless foundation & the new super stay!
Thank you for touching on us fair skin gals. It's frustrating when a foundation doesn't work for us but others rave about it. Lol! You look amazing, as always.
We are face sisters. Literally. I have red hair, freckles, oily/ dry skin, the works. This is the biggest struggle. As of right now, the only foundation that completely matches my skin is the L'Oreal 24 hour infallible in the lightest shade. It's great, but makes me look a little dull. I LOVE the finish of the Lumi. But the colors are weirding me out. I tried the neutral, loved it, but it slightly oxidized on my skin. Perhaps I need to try the warm? I have very naturally pink skin. So I assumed the lightest warm shade would enhance that. I haven't read a single review saying this stuff oxidized on someone. Why me?! I'm determined to make it work! I have NEVER had a Covergirl product I liked. Every foundation oxidizes horribly. BTW pale friend, if you are looking for a frugal BB cream, the new NYC 5 in 1 BB cream is bomb!
I never even heard of the Flower brand of cosmetics. Interesting, this is something I will totally have to go to Walmart to pickup and try! Thanks for sharing, great tips and information!
Hi Zabrina. I'm really searching for a good undereye cream that will help keep that erea moisturized. What would you recommend. I'm over 50 yrs. Maybe that will help. Thnks. Love your vids they are so amazing and do helpful with those beautiful combinations you wear of eyeshadows. Grest job.
Thank you for doing this video. I can so relate to your struggle with color. I am always the fairest in every brand. I have tried and like the trumatch Loreal, I wear the N1. I also like the Boots brand from target, it's a matte foundation. I also like the Covergirl outlast 3 in 1 in number 805. Many stores start at the 810 number but that is way too dark. I have combo/oily skin as well.
One product that I found worked really well for my pale skin, which in your video you mentioned you weren't a fan of. Is CoverGirl+Olay Facelift Effect! I do agree with you when it comes to CoverGirl. I could never find a good foundation that didn't end up moving all over my face after 5 or 6 hours. But their facelift effect, if you haven't already tried it, is AMAZING! I literally stocked up on Jars of it. Is definitely a thick product to apply. But once it dries after a minute feels almost feels like I put nothing on. Plus it delivers on its promise. Makes you look awake, bright, glowy, and lifted! And doesn't make you break out. I'm sure you've prob already tested it. But for those who haven't and have pale dry/oily skin. This is the product that changed everything for me hahaha.
Rimmel BB Cream in the Radiance formula is amazing. In the states I've only been able to find it in Light but it does come in Porcelain (which I found in the UK). The Light matches me fine and it doesn't oxidize. I also really like the Rimmel Lasting Finish.
Revlon Colorstay! Doesnt grease up on my oily spots and wont make dry areas look flaky. Good match for me (ivory) and lasts allllll day even if i get in the pool!
i just got the match perfection from rimmel and i agree. i used their powder and it made for a flawless finish. i used DB cosmetics primer with it. I'm a very light skinned person so i was very relieved to watch this and now subscribed so i can see more hints and tips for those of us fairer skinned beauties!
Have you tried Revlon Nearly Naked foundation? I use the lightest shade and out of all the foundations I've tried, it's the best color match. It doesn't oxidize, it's relatively inexpensive, and it leaves a beautiful finish and feel.
I use L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation in 103 (Natural buff) and I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION. I think it sits well on my skin, I think it applies well (I prefer heavier coverage bc I have unbalanced color on my face and also suffer from acne), my only complaint is that it isn't a perfect perfect color match. I find that it is slightly yellow on my skin (I am fine with that but I know others don't like yellow tints on their skin) and it isn't a foundation you only apply in one place, I have to cover my whole face with it or else I just look COMPLETELY mismatched. But I've bought it 3 or four times (with other brands in between) and have liked it every time! I also really like the Neutrogena SkinClearing foundation with salicylic acid, I didn't feel like it helped my skin but I really loved this foundation and it will probably be the next drug store foundation I purchase again. It was light on my skin, the color matched me perfectly, it wasn't the heaviest coverage but it was enough for me to still love it!
This is such a helpful video. I totally agree about how hard it is to find pale foundations in the drugstore. Not only am I pale (and yellow toned!) but I'm also allergic to SPF. I can't seem to find anything in the drugstore that doesn't contain SPF and sometimes even when they don't list an SPF rating on the front, it still contains the ingredients on the back. I later learned that if the SPF is less that 25, they don't usually list it on the label because it's not really a high enough SPF for sun coverage. Maybe so, but it's still enough to give me a rash! Personally, I wish they didn't put SPF in foundation. Technically you must reapply SPF every 2 hours so it doesn't make sense. Who wipes off their entire face of makeup just to reapply the the foundation contains?
I've been using Neutrogena's Healthy Skin foundation in the lightest shade. It doesn't look like it'll match at first, but when it sets in it looks like my skin. Not bad. The only problem it has is that it really can't stand up to my oily skin that well, but wearing my rice powder on top of it helps immensely.
I know that I really enjoy the revlon colorstay foundation in the lightest shade they carry. Literally, that is the only shade that actually can match me fairly good. The foundation DOES stay on all day, at least for me. I have very oily skin in the tzone and less oily on the rest of my face. I love to use the revlon pink foundation primer which is a color corrector as well.
I'm rather pale as well so I understand your predicament here. My favorite foundation is Maybelline dream liquid mousse in 1. I don't use the powder from that line though, it's a bit dark. instead I use the 24 hour stay from Revlon in the lightest shade as my set powder. I have oily skin and this has worked really well for me. I tried to do the Revlon foundation in the 24 hour and it actually settled in my smile lines, which I'm pretty young so that made me super upset, and it made my face more oily than normal, so I stopped use after a few weeks. Just my recommendations though on foundation. The dream mousse has FANTASTIC coverage, just thought I should put that out there.
I would really love a high end foundation review some day :) Which serum based foundations are the best and which full coverage ones would you recommend?
I got the stay matte but not flat because of this! It’s the best drugstore foundation by far! If you use a stippling brush and stipple it on your face the coverage is amazing 🤞🏻
You even apply each foundation!!! OMG youre so niceeee!
she didn't apply the bad ones
PLEASE do an Update on this best DrugStore foundations vid.!! since there are a lot more new foundations out!! I love your frugal fridays!! 😁
A. Downey LOL! I feel your pain! UGH!
Do you find them very pink toned? I'm very pale and they look super pinky/red on me :/
bronagh fallon Yeah.
Good luck! Hahah
How do you not have more subscribers?! You're so pretty, funny, and have very helpful videos. My new favorite:)
Katie Olivia Haha! Thank you so much for your kind words, Katie! I'm so happy YOU are here! :D
+Zabrena my favorite RUclipsr. I love your frugal Friday's!!! Please do another foundation review
+Katie Olivia i agree and this is really valuable information for most of us! It could save us a lot of money! I appreciate these videos so much
+Katie Olivia That's actually the biggest reason I subscribed.
I love your personality, and I thought your video was helpful. I'm running out of the Lancome foundation that I currently have and I don't want to keep spending over $40 for foundation when I can purchase others that are just as good, so this really helped.
pale girls unite! the foundation struggle is so real! thanks for this video 👻
Laurel Welch Amen, Sister. (My pic here is colorized haha.)
I LOVE Flower cosmetics! Their powder foundation is the best, and I mean the best of everything drugstore to high end! I will def be trying the liquid foundation out! Thank you, another great video!
I'm so glad to finally hear someone mention the Flower Beauty foundation!! 😍😍 it's by far my all time favorite foundation out there!
***** Isn't that Drew Barrymore's company? I thought I heard that awhile ago.
Boss Lady Lauren Yes! That line has some amazing products! I say some are hit or miss but I suggest checking some of them out. (:
Thanks Zabrena! I'm gonna refer back to this video in the future when I need to buy foundation. I didn't know that the L'Oreal Dream Lumi could work for oily skin, I guess the name "Lumi" threw me for a loop and I thought it would turn me into an oil slick :). I too have oily skin and dry patches, my dry patches being on my nose and under my eyes, so having this to refer to saves me a lot of trouble in the future. Thanks again!
I really like how you show visual examples of how the makeup blends on the face. Thanks for being so helpful!
Your eye shadow combination in this video is on point! Absolutely gorgeous! Please tell me a tutorial on this look is coming soon!?!
Jaymi Sue Thank you, Jaymi! Yes! Monday's video! :)
Manic panic dreamtone in Virgin. This is a white mixer type foundation that you just add a drop or two to a foundation you really like but is just too dark. I discovered this product on ShanShortcakeBeauty she also is pale skinned so you might find some good finds with her too! It's fairly inexpensive too.
indysalafisister I LOVE that foundation too! Where do you usually buy yours? I have only found it on Amazon.
KraftyKaitlyn that's the only place I can find it as well. I wish I could find it in store somewhere.
+indysalafisister Oh, brilliant! I didn't know such a thing existed have so many foundations that are supposedly porcelain or fair, and they are all too dark. I'm going to hunt this down on Amazon right now. :)
CVS BB Cream is wonderful. I got the Light-Medium and it will be perfect in Summer. Thanks for your review!
Why no example on the bad ones? Like the testing and stuff?
I was wondering that two🤔
Maybe she returned them
Maybe they're so bad she couldn't even think of spending a whole day with them on
LOVE that flower foundation got it at Walmart on sale and it lasts through my 8 hour work days and school! It's amazing
I absolutely love your eye makeup in this video! ♥♥♥ The combination of the warm toned color in the crease with the silvery gray lid color is so unique and looks gorgeous! I'd love to see a tutorial for this eye look ;)
Rimmel Match Perfection is my new found love!! I bought 3 bottles and 4 Rimmel stay matte powder perfect combo !! 😍😍
I use maybelline's fit me matte foundation in porcelain (I am seriously pale) and it matches me perfectly and doesn't darken over time
+Katelyn Higgins lol the lightest fit me shade is still a little dark on me but its lighter than most
+Katelyn Higgins i do too! LOVE it! even on mature skin, it's great! I thought the natural Ivory was the lightest, it is very light on me so i may have some more warm tones in my skin than i thought
+Katelyn Higgins SAME
How long does it last though? And in what sort of weather
Jennifer Cunha I am pale too and I love the Revlon Whipped foundations!
Jennifer Cunha Weird, I guess everyone's skin is different... wish it would have worked for me. Oh well
J Shapiro I have a warm undertone, maybe that makes a difference?
(I do have to blot but I have yet to find a foundation where I don't need to do that)
i second that! it doesn't oxidize, too c:
Amanda Johnson I liked how pale the shade is as it is very difficult to find pale drugstore foundations, but this foundation looked awful on the skin too me. It could just be the fact that I'm used to the natural finish of asian BB creams but this foundation accentuated my pores and made me look super dry and my skin isn't even that dry. It also looked super heavy :(
I tried the Fit Me on my hand and it oxidized after 30 minutes lol
I also have combination skin ! Lately i'm loving Revlon colorstay foundation ! It is made for combo/oily skin. I'm in shade 340 early tan. I have been mixing it with Loreal true match Lumi in shade nat. beige W4 warm ! I have an olive complexion. This stuff is amazing !!!!! It last i know at least 6-8 hours, Hardly any shine breakthrough's , Full coverage too !

loved your review on la girl perfecting liquid makeup. Im gonna buy it and see if it works for me.
So happy I have someone to watch with pale skin. It is so hard to find products to match my pale skin tone. Thank you!
I agree, infallible is amazing!! It's become my absolute favorite drugstore foundation.
Thanks so much for this video! As a fair skinned Irish girl its hard to find foundations that match. Love the earrings btw.
This is the first time I've watched your videos. They're really helpful, & on this particular one, I also LOVE your chosen background colors & decor!
Subscribed! I finally found a youtuber who is actually oily and gives good reviews on foudantions for oily skin! Love all your drugstore reviews!
Leanna Cherner I think that's a wonderful idea! Thank you for the request, Leanna! :)
Ahh you replied! thank you! you're the best :)
Faith Grenade The Double Wear oxidizes on me. :(
Oh, noooo! :( I mean, I'm tempted to try it anyway, but if it oxidizes on anyone, then it'll almost certainly change on me! Dang it!
KraftyKaitlyn I have same problem with drugstore foundations with Revlon Colorstay being the least. Have you found any?
My gosh! You're such a beauty. Your eyes are so pretty, not just the color.
God bless.
Jennifer Ellis I know right!! LOVE the dream wonder foundation!!!!
The Revlon Color Stay in liquid and the whipped cream. Tons of colors, does not oxidize on me, coverage is quite good and buildable!
Thanks!
Thank you for mentioning which products were cruelty free at the end! Very helpful :)
So keep
That in mind. The fair just might be too dark for you...but the formula & look on your skin is gorgeous !!
Late to see this but YES on the Rimmel match perfection. I just discovered this, & I love it! Not to mention it smells so good!
I am loving this series!
My fav drugstore foundation is Revlon Colorstay. I am a pale girl, too, and I love how they match my color! But, based on your video, I may venture out into other brands!
Gotta love the Revlon Colorstay Cream. Amazing stuff. Great coverage and wear.
Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation, Concealer, and Powders are the best for selfies my shades all Buff Bisque.
I am very fair, but in the maybelline fit me foundation, kinda matches, slightly dark for me but in shade porcelain I can make it work.
I just started using the mabaline fit me foundation. I really love it.
I LOVE that you mentioned cruelty free products! 😍😍😍
Revlon colourstay in my opinion is quite best especially if one wants a full coverage
Love your beautiful big eyes! The green really pop!
just discovered your channel abouuuuuutttt 3 hours ago lol, loveee these frugal fridayzzz videos, they have helped me sooooo much! keep 'em coming!
Rimmel Match Perfection also comes in 010 Light Porcelain in the UK - I get it online!
I've been wondering about Flower face makeup & if it tended to be a tad dark or orange. Thanks for this!
I tired it and didn't have much success with it, it was extremely oily on me
This is such a helpful video.
I like the L'Oreal True Match because it comes in warm, cool & neutral shades. I am fair but not pale. I use W-3 in winter and W-5 in summer.
I love these Frugal Friday videos!
Vanessa Marie Ellingsen Will keep that mind for you! I'm working on finding the best! :) Thank you for the request! xoxo!
I got the stay matte but not flat because of this! It’s the best drugstore foundation by far! If you use a stippling brush and stipple it on your face the coverage is amazing 🤞🏻
