I keep coming back to this video because I love this SUV! Once this thing goes electric, I think it is going to be one of the best looking EVs out there. That spindle grille I feel will transition very nicely to being blocked off with a unique pattern on it.
Ever since I watched the video of this Lexus NX, I have been thinking of how to make massive profits with the little money I have on me so that I can be able to get this car
I also want this vehicle but I don't have enough to get it by then. The only thing I have in mind to go into is crypto but it still scares me because of the dip
Lexus needs to make a plug-in NX or UX with 100 miles of EV range and a back up ICE to take on Tesla. Without Tesla’s supercharger network, 100 miles for EV every day and a backup ICE for road trips is the way to compete. Love Lexus’ build quality, but I need an EV.
That would be amazing. For commuting and short trips, you'd have the benefits of electric, with the (not huge) inconvenience of hauling a few hundred of lb of drivetrain but as a result would still be able to do road trips without absolutely having to recharge all the time, or just not be stranded if you don't have a few hours and/or a 240V or more outlet available right where you are. The gas engine could be a super small / light 3 or 4 cylinder with not much power or (maybe even under 100) that would require barely no maintenance, as it wouldn't run most of the time ... as long as it allows you to still go around, when you don't have electric charge, it would be a perfectly acceptable compromise to me for it to be completely underpowered if it means smaller and lighter...
This is actually the prime reason I have not looked at a Model Y yet. Also, it is a known fact even today Model Y has massive quality issues. Even existing Model Y owners I've talked to said they noticed build issues but have learned to accept it. I've been on several road trips from Northern CA to Southern CA with a Model 3 Performance and just the sheer added time of charging, etc is simply not worth it for me. When we drove down, we hit up a supercharger at Kettleman City and was able to get to our destination the first time. On the road trip back up, we had to charge the Model 3 THREE times and added an extra 2-3 hours on our trip. Of course my friends that own Teslas would often say "oh how fast were you driving, etc etc". Don't care. Time = money. Just like you said, I need an EV for my daily commute as the 36 mile range would cover it and I can charge for free at work. BUT, I would also like an ICE backup just in case for longer trips/road trips/no battery juice left. Lexus would sell these like hot cakes if they made one with a 100 mile range + ICE backup. I'm strongly considering the 2022 NX 450h+
Makes me rethink my next purchase. I wonder what he means when he says the seats are “not as cosseting as the IS.” My next car choice must have a nice cushy seat which is why the RX has been the leader in the clubhouse.
Am I the only one that like more the minimalistic “old” infotainment system, I would like a slightly bigger screen for the UX and of course, no trackpad, use other input method but nothing this fancy.
That’s the one I’m more excited for (RX model). I wanted to get the 2021 model but waiting to see what they will come up with the 2022 before deciding.
@@kyleiki2473 I’ve always felt like the RX is still a crossover not a full size SUV. I mean that’s how it started its life. So a Highlander will always have a bigger presence. Lexus does not make a Highlander size true everyday SUV

@@TheseRightHereBitch Exactly. I am not in the market for a new car but I like to keep up to date where trends are going in the automotive industry and I find it odd how Lexus would go to such lengths to fine turn a sport sedan when more and more people are buying SUVs and after all that effort, they through the last gen interior in there.
