2:32 I'm glad you mentioned balance. After a certain tempo I feel like I'm going to topple forward into my toms. Thought it was just me that had this problem till now, I feel much better. Thank you.
@@dutchdykefinger yeah I’ve been experimenting with how I sit. I also played around with my kick pedal settings but probably thinking too much into it haha
Marthyn, your american "R" gets way better... You're teaching us drumming, and yet you're also learning - a "language" (with it a mean pronounciation). Just want to appreciate it ;-) Double stroking greetings from Hamburg!
Hey for your next drum cam review video I highly recommend you check out Philippe Boucher of Beyond Creation. His drum cam of the song Coexistence is super interesting, you might enjoy it!!
So many fucking parts to drumming. Amazing how some months i can go with 200bpm solid with no soft starting strokes and then somehow everything will change one day and I get cramped up, cant play past 120 and I'm left with this love hate drum relationship again. I mean anything from the bass drum to the pedals and tension or shaft position, foot position, stool height or distance or even if ive been doing strenuous out of music exercises that just complicate everything. I swear practicing on-beats with my left foot make both feet want to play on beat when time comes for doing single 16th single strokes and its infuriating.
Thank you Marthyn!!! This a GREAT exercise!! Been gradually building up the tempo as I do these too!!

🤘 have a great day my friend!
i'ts not without reason some drummers move to sit on the back of their drum stool when they open up the floodgates on the footwork :D
the floodgates 🤗
@@drumtechniqueacademy thank you, you too 😀

Thanks for this! I think I need to raise my throne a little more.
Nice
It’s all in his shoes and pedals this is all you need 😂🤘
Tell me you’re not a drummer without telling me you’re not a drummer.
@@AgentHomer he's joking I think...
@@DBMMXXVIIXVII eh maybe. With the amount of guys who actually believe this, who can tell anymore…
@@AgentHomer it's all about practicing in the end, but practicing correctly
@@DBMMXXVIIXVII indeed. It’s years of hard work.

How many BPM is the background music for this used?
Hei marthyn, ive tried the last exercise… its great but it goes out tempo frequently…. Is that alright for that?
Name off the band ?
Whatever you can play with your hands, you play with your feet, maybe.
Let's get it! 🦵🦵
