Never heard of this band before.
First listen is tonight on an outbreakfest-binge seeing a few of my favorite bands playing Outbreak Fest 2022, from home on the couch. And then I found this.
It's real fun to read people's comments and thoughts on wether or not they think that their different newwave/hardcore styles match.
Because there are a lot more highlights that you guys would have been better off discussing about in the comments.
    - How before the last track a political statement was made in such a powerful and explicit way in this time where pretty much everything is pretty damn divided, in front of such a big crowd. That was so powerful!
    - The crowds reaction to that speech and the track the speech introduded, felt kind of reassuring that good music really only brings good people together and that all is never lost.
    - How the bass player really rips on the vocals in her solo during Turn away the bad thing. Wow.
    - How the lead singer looks, moves ánd sounds as if in some miracle way Ian McKay, Moby and Henry Rollins had a love baby
    - How awesome it is that I am able to live a festival from the other side of the world, without ever attending. The future is now, but next time I would love to take the trip from the Netherlands
It's time to go see the next band!
EDIT: For what it's worth, I was a newbie to this band really enjoyed the mix between the different styles and think they really do work well together!

on their current tour that just started they’ve played hysteria, hotel, MCDF, repeating the circle and term addiction so far. probably just keep the popular stuff in the fest set lists that’s pretty common. i’ve always wanted to hear some still nothing moves you though that record is so damn underrated

I mean, when they started as a powerviolence band, they were already named after a New Order song. Sounds like a fuckaround idea they had that they wound up taking seriously, but if you go through their discography there's a clear progression from fast shit, to slower, raw punk, then into the post-punk stuff. One doesn't have to like it and that's okay, but can't rly say it's out of nowhere.

You're high as gas. The more new wave type stuff is NOT my favorite by any means, but this progression shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. Obviously, they didn't fall off. They've still got punk and hardcore kids coming to their shows no matter how few of the old tracks they play. These dudes can ingest all the Joy Division they want. They're still regarded as one of the best punk/hardcore bands of our generation. No one can take that from them.
