I'm getting started on my first build with an 80 gal air compressor tank. this is by far the best design I've seen so far. Watching this over and over trying to pick up some tips
Dude!!! Great choice of background music!!! I am a huge fan of Stick Figure!!! Seen them live at my first music fest ive ever attended. Amazing people!!
Awesome video!!!!!!!
every time I watch your videos you inspire me to fire up the smoker and hook up some killer ribs, Thank you my man! 🙏
Thanks man! That’s what it’s all about!🤙🏻🤙🏻
Class! That is the perfect size. Good work man!
It really is!🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@LVSMOKERS The delivery charge to Ireland would suck though!
we are just starting our own pit. but you gave me many ideas on things i just changed on my blueprints. Thanks man! keep up the great work
Right on man!!! Hope it turns out good.🤙🏻🤙🏻
That looks like an awesome backyard pit!
Another sweet ass build. The little details make all the difference. Respect.
Much appreciated 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@LVSMOKERS seriously this art not even a smoker
I like it! Very cool!
Super Nice work!
Wow! So cool bro. Well done.
From one to another you're a real OG
Thank you 🤙🏼🙏🏼
Awesome build...
man that's one nice smoker!!!! I need one ....that is one for my backyard this one maybe a little too big. (great job)
Let me know I can build you a smaller one.🤙🏻

Very clean welds, that thing is a beaut
So dope. Will be reaching out soon
Thanks and looking forward to it 🤙🏻🤙🏻
New subscriber here. Found your vids few days ago. Thank you for providing such content. I really want to make a smoker in the future. I m new to this bbq concept and I m fascinated by it. Been in Greece I m not familiarized with smokers but the meat results are amazing. I got a few questions... If anyone could help I would much appreciate it.
1. The bottom meat rack usually sits in the middle of the smoke chamber?
2. How big should the smoke chamber be to accommodate a 2nd meat rack on top of the main bottom one?
3. The smoke outlet needs to be half below the main meat rack half above it?
4. How high should the smoke stack (I think that's how it's called?where the smoke comes out) be for the whole smoker to work properly? Is there a ratio depending on the volume /length /size of the smoker?
5. How do you calculate or better yet where do you situate the hole of the wood chamber when connecting it to the main body?
I hope my English is understandable since it's not my mother tongue. Forgive me if I didn't get the terminology correct.
100% proper job boss👍
I appreciate it 🤙🏻
@@LVSMOKERS respek di reggae vibe also👍
I like the fire door latch good idea just use the weight to keep it in the notch. Also handle towards center of mass less to catch things on.
Beautiful!
Dude this is a killer pit.
Great work! Want to get one of those. Will be reaching out.
Just let me know when your ready.
This looks really good. What size firebox did you go with this?
Daft question, could you spray paint the fire box? So you could get your favourite team sprayed on it. Keep up the amazing work fella, you must be so proud with what you produce sir
I can do even better and actually have your favorite team CNC machine for an extra charge
That's bad ass bro, 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Cool pit there
This is it right here 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Agree. Those 1000 gallon smokers are overkill. Specialty events only that are rare for most all. A fryer chicken or two for a 5+ family is easily accommodated with this size smoker or less.
That’s my next smoker for sure
NIce job bro
Step by step how do you build swivel axle? Long bolt with washer in between metal?
Awesome build. Like how you went with a large firebox and collector stack. I see builds were they go too small. What kind of welder do you use? Keep up the good work. I've just started a 120 gallon build!
Hey LV, what's the min. size firebox you would use on a 80 gal Smoker? Love you builds guy, thanks for the inspiration.

Right now I’m booked out until June.
Thanks for the reply! I’ll keep you in mind for sure!
Any cons on insulating the firebox completely? I’ve heard it’s tough to cool down if your pit heats up too much in summer in a hot place
Is that the original paint, how does it stand up to the heat?
RAD build man! Do you also get them powder coated?
Very nice build... clear coat on the cook chamber & linseed oil on the bare metal?... or clear coat on the whole thing?
Hola amigo. Dónde se pueden conseguir planos de como fabricar uno de estos.soy de chile. aquí recién se está conociendo estos ahumadores y quiero fabricar el mio.
Nice
Dope...
Dope soundtrack
How important is it to insulate the box? We live Louisiana and it doesn't get super cold in the winter or fall. I know it helps the efficiency but what other benefits?
pur-fect!
Like your design what thickness steel do you use for your firebox?
Hey brother love your vid’s I have the same size tank. What should the measurements for the door be and what welder would you recommend?
How’s it going. So I would go about 2-3” away from the seams on each side. And welders are kind of a preference thing. I happen to use a snap on welder. But there’s so many out there nowadays and you can find one that won’t break the Bank if you know what I mean lol.
How does front wheels pivot?
Love the over sized fire box. How did you base the box size?
What diameter pipe did you put inside the fire box?
What is the measurement between the cooking racks?
Do you build any with round fire boxes
how do you determine the fire box size?
Someone gave me a 46" long by 30-inch wide water tank, do you think I would do a good Smoker ? With the dimensions given
Looks great man! Very similar to what I'm trying to build right now. What insulation do you use for the fire box?
Thanks. It’s called rockwool.
Whats the box size
How much for a pit like this one?
I hope u don’t mind me asking, where is your workshop?
Is it level?
Could wrinke spray paint a smoker? I know that it only protects up to 350 degrees but I like the wrinkle look.it can give it a powder coat look.i wonder if you can paint it with the high temp paint first that protects up to 2000 degrees. And then hit it with a 350 degree wrinkle paint on top. Do you think that would work? I'm working on a 130 gallon offset.
I don’t see why not. Eventually all the paint kind of chips off anyways.
@@LVSMOKERS bro try it on your next build. See how it works
Love the size. How long to get one and what would you need as a down payment
Go on LV Smokers on Facebook and DM on messenger. I’ll give you all the details you need.🤙🏻
dude that fire box is insane :) . . . have you ever temp tested it to see what's the hottest you make in there? and then what's the duration like? i see the 'franklin'-esque design and i see how he rolls with his start up and maintain'n (wood use wise) it's just his box seems half the size and not insulated like that :) nicely done man, hope they're still move'n for you.
@@sikosis999 thanks man. I really appreciate it. My fire boxes hold temperature really well making it for where you don’t use as much wood.
What size pipe are you useing for the inside of the firebox.?
Bad assness
🤙🏻🤙🏻
No tablet?
You make sick pits man. I’ve got a fatstack 80 and it is a great size. Wish I had those tires though!
Thanks man! Fatstacks make some really nice pits as well! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Wow Nice work👍 right site! Whats the name of the singer at the video?
I just Shazam'ed the song. World On Fire (Remix) - Stick Figure Featuring Slightly Stoopid and others
thats an 80 gallon compressor tank??
Yes sir
@@LVSMOKERS is that all electric flux core machine you are using?? What brand is that? Can u weld up to 5/16 with that?? I'm looking for an all electric small machine to use outside also
Hello. What’s pricing on these 80 gal. Can it be ship to fl ?
$2500. Shipping cost can range from $1k - $1.5k depending on size and weight.I can only get estimated quotes on the shipping due to the smokers being different.
Hey I know this is an older video but is that an air compressor tank? Just curious
Ya it’s an 80 gallon air tank
What’s up man.. hey what kind of insulation is that?
It’s called RockWool
@@artlopez5347 it’s welded in a box so how is it in the food? Explain that to me🤔
What kind of tank do you use for this size smoker?
Older air tanks and mostly propane tanks
