i think you have the best of both now with the KC. up close LEDs for 25mph and KCs for 55mph driving in the dark. Last year while i was driving in Oregon to Coos Bay to pick up some bus parts, it was around midnight, it was real dark so i was driving 40 on a 55, suddenly i came upon 3 deers in the middle of a curve/intersection, they were around 5 feet tall, didnt have much time to avoid them but i tried swerving away while braking, one of the deer unfortunately bent its head down and followed the headlight with its head and impacted the car front, the deer rolled over on impact like a judo roll. i think its a doe since it didnt have any horns/antlers. it got up, shook off the impact and started to walk away. it was dark and creepy in the middle of the nowhere so i left. after 20+mi i arrived at a 7-11 and i inspected my car. the dodoe broke my headlight and bumper and left some hair on it and dented my fender. i installed more lights and a dash cam since.
