I had an 05 Silverado 1500HD with the 6.0L V8. That truck had true dual exhaust from the factory with a 2 in and 1 out at the muffler. I had the factory muffler replaced with dual magnaflows and Gibson headers. That was the best sounding exhaust I ever had on a truck. Very similar to yours. Enjoy!
@@sswain833 I thought about catless but went with high flow. TSP long tubes straight piped with side exit exhaust. I thought catless would be a bit much but there isn't much of a difference.
I’m building a heads cam 6.0 with the intention to run true duals with cut outs. What I’ll do different is dual valved cut outs that shut down one “one bank” so full sound will go through at a time with the pipes meeting back up before the tips. I’m vlogging my build here and intend on doing these different setup test vids as well seeing your channel is definitely inspiring me to keep on it.
Sounds great. You should give the new Corsa Pro series mufflers a try. That should help with your drone issue and still sound great. Little pricey at $329 a piece though.
Honestly, I prefered the true duals. If you are considering it like you said at the end, I'd go back, and do the tips out the back again too. More on brand for you. Maybe swap to 5's if you didn't like the 6's. I know you said you wanna keep things fresh for us, but tbh, you did the bumper so you could do tips like the other white truck, and you know you said you liked the way it sounded. When you added the X pipe, I thought... well thats gonna come out again one day lol. I mean, you do you, but you know you miss the way it was. Don't get me wrong, it looks, and sounds good, but don't change up if you think it needs to keep fresh. We'd watch you drive up and down your driveway every episode, just to hear it hahaha.
Best one yet!! But, taking that x pipe out!? I think your going to lose the way it sounds now. Hate to say it but only way to get the drone way it’s going to be with a muffler. Best sounding exhaust yet brother!
My man you absolutely gotta do longtubes next and borla ataks, anothing thing to try is to get them to switch the banks around, passenger side gets routed too the driver side pipe and vice versa it equals the pipe length out and makes it smoother and might even help out with drone a bit
What is the exact exhaust setup here.... Because I love it and looking to do exhaust on my 2018 Silverado High Country. Also.... Is this the 5.3L or the 6.2L?
you have to install j pipes to get rid of drone, resonators help too, how j pipes work is they throw soundwaves into the j pipes and the hit the flat wall at the end of the pipe cancelling the drone frequencies and since its blocked off exhaust gas doesn't even bother to try and go through there so it'll sound the exact same
Mandrel bent 3 inch pipes would make it louder and some mufflers would get rid of the droning I would say. Also a x pipe usually adds torque ,but the pipes look small so a true dual would breath better, but a 3 inch x pipe setup would breath far better and give you that extra 💪🏻
Hey man just curious. What brand bumper is that. Love the look of it because it doesn’t have those usb chager ports GM calls exhaust tips. Every trail boss I’ve seen from here to Marion County, Ga has them and I don’t know why nobody has rid of them
I’ve never heard of j pipes as 1/4 wavelength. Please elaborate, is it how they work scientifically therefore they call it that or do you need to make them 1/4 the size of the pipe or something? I’ve seen an adjustable j pipe kit which is why I ask how much r&d goes into a setup vs just slapping on some pipes
Can you load up a video of your exhaust setup of the whole shabang it sound killer but I want to see how you made it fit ill like a setup like that if you don't mind sharing your exhaust setup
@lmsfcrew how much do you think it will be to get a cat back straight pipe with 6 inch tips for my 97 f150. I’m just assuming you know since you have done it to yours
I own a 01 f150 5.4 and I plan on removing the smaller 2 cats (first cats from the manifold) im curious what a muffler delete and removing the first two cats would sound like. Ik you removed the bigger 2 cats and kept the smaller 2 and you have true duels. And it claps loud. Just too loud for my preference.
Hey could you do a video on pipe size vs sound, I see a lot of guys commenting on these truck videos saying smaller pipes clap more and are louder but I’m not sure if that’s the case, I used to have 2.5 inch true dual straights but now I’ve got 2 inch straights and it seems a bit more choppy but I can’t really tell if it’s louder, cheers man love your videos
I have 2 pipes from the first two cats all the way back to 2 5” tips why does mine not sound as loud as yours idling at stuff what can I do I wanna be a clap wagon you hear miles down the road lmao without cutting my first 2 cats
Which exhaust shop do you use? I'm pretty sure I live in the same area that you do based on some of the footage of the hwy you drive on. I am looking for an exhaust shop local to me to get some work done
My truck drones similar with a magnaflow, your drone issue may be coming from the x-pipe because it’s actually resonating under the truck, I’m no expert but that’s my guess
True duals with the 6x18 tips and no x pipe was my favorite setup
IF YOU PUT YOUR TRUCK IN N NEUTRAL AND THEN HOLD IT IN BETWEEN REVERSE AND PARK YOU CAN BY PASS THE 3 K ROM LIMITER AND TACK IT OUT
Sounds like an expensive accident waiting to happen🤣
@@LandonWilksLow-key wanna try that
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllll nahhh😂

Dope exhaust man, I’m gonna miss your old true duals though.
Best one yet needs long tube headers and high flow cats
No clap, just a good deep tone I love it.
The shop did a great job, looks good!
Throw some long tube headers on there with high flow cats!! Sounds great!!
Just put long tubes on mine with the catless Y-pipe and a carven TR, it sounds amazing.
@@sswain833 I thought about catless but went with high flow. TSP long tubes straight piped with side exit exhaust. I thought catless would be a bit much but there isn't much of a difference.
longtubes don’t always sound good. it adds a lot of rasp with no mufflers. i wish people quit suggesting longtubes lol😅
That bridge clip was awesome!!
Definitely sounds good but definitely. Like the new places you film it
I can't remember if you put a cold air intake in this beast or not... Either way it's sounds super good. Definitely my favourite exhaust so far.
i love the sound. by far my favorite setup so far
Dude.... that sounds really really good!! Leave the exhaust alone now!🤣🤣
I personally love your old exhaust maybe it’s just the look the clean look

I’ve been wanting to do that for a while now. Glad you made this video
I ran all those different types of tires and I went to the Nitto 420V on my truck and I love them!
Yes sir! She’s sounding good now!
That startup is violent
Sounds so much better I like it
my 2013 sierra with the 6.2 has a carven r series muffler and 5 inch tip and no resonator, love how it sounds
Sounds perfect man!
Have that setup with a duel pipe to each pipe on each side, so two pipes like that on that side and the other on the other side.
Yes for sure take the X pipe out
Enjoy watching your videos for the simple fact that you do things that the average guy like myself can do
Love the exhaust note! Hell yeah!
I have a 2015 Silverado, doing a 3rd cat, muffler, resonator delete with a Flowmaster super 10 and 4”x12” tips next week
Sounds great. You should give the new Corsa Pro series mufflers a try. That should help with your drone issue and still sound great. Little pricey at $329 a piece though.
This is the exact set up i want for my obs ext cab!!! Instead of the x pipe a flow master delta flow!!!

Ready for Larry’s new exhaust😮💨 Sound pretty good tho

Man that is by far the best sound i love it 😎
Sounds great and looks great
I like the true duals with 6 inch tips the most
Best setup so far 👌
Keepin the exhaust shop open 🤣
What all have you done to you truck so far?? Playing catchup from videos 😅
Love your channel and videos sounds great 👍👍

Them chrome door handles didn't last long lol but yes the truck be lookin hard as hell! Love it
Sounds amazing and I like the thin snowflakes on there better
Have you tryed fox shocks on the truck and see the difference
Wonder how this setup would sound with long tubes headers and high flow cats?
I love it sounds amazing 💯
do you have video shows hot the shop did this exhaus, I have a GMC 6.2L want a sound..
That sound badass!
Damn thing sounds good bro 🔥
Def put them on Larry with no cats or high flow cats
Would love to hear the true duals with the x pipe and some high flows similar to kook’s high flow cats
great lookin truck
Way better than the old setup. The clapped out exhaust sounds ridiculous
Major muffler did good on that
I was literally thinking of doing the same set up as you
Definitely take out the x pipe. Sounds wicked🤙🏼
Where did you get them tail lights? I have a 2021 hard to find
How do I do that to my trail boss? Not very good on parts etc what would I need etc?
Hey man just curious. What brand bumper is that. Love the look of it because it doesn’t have those usb chager ports GM calls exhaust tips. Every trail boss I’ve seen from here to Marion County, Ga has them and I don’t know why nobody has rid of them
Sounds mean as hell!!!! Great choice man. 👍👍👍👍.. put two dynomax race bullets after the x pipe. It will help with drone.
You said you posted a link in the description. There is no link in the description.
What is the actual setup. True dual side exit straight pipe. With cats i am assuming
Do you have a link for the 4x12 tips?
Did the true dual catback straight pipe void your warranty
You didn't mention mufflers. Are there any?
What's the size of spacers you got goen on there bro???
For the drone issue, look into doing 1/4 wavelength j tubes. They kill drone at whatever rpm you have it at
Yup works great!
I’ve never heard of j pipes as 1/4 wavelength. Please elaborate, is it how they work scientifically therefore they call it that or do you need to make them 1/4 the size of the pipe or something? Heck yeah sounds good
Sounds good man
Leave the x pipe. It's good for exhaust flow and performance. Is that straight pipes or did you use a muffler and if ya did what brand and model.
What setup do u have, lift, size rims and tires.
It sounds awesome, but that drone is killer rn not gonna lie.
Can you load up a video of your exhaust setup of the whole shabang it sound killer but I want to see how you made it fit ill like a setup like that if you don't mind sharing your exhaust setup
How much did shop charge you to get this done?
@lmsfcrew how much do you think it will be to get a cat back straight pipe with 6 inch tips for my 97 f150. I’m just assuming you know since you have done it to yours
I can’t remember. Do you have cats on still or is it header back true duals
What do I have to do to build this… it sounds amazing
Do you have a link to the new exhaust tips? Thank You!
Where did you get them tips from?
Looks sick, but have that for each side :)
I have a Chevy Silverado Lt 5.3 and will this sound the same or it just quieter
I own a 01 f150 5.4 and I plan on removing the smaller 2 cats (first cats from the manifold) im curious what a muffler delete and removing the first two cats would sound like. Ik you removed the bigger 2 cats and kept the smaller 2 and you have true duels. And it claps loud. Just too loud for my preference.
Anyone else think he should do true duals with those tips but have them dump out the side infront fo the rear tires on each side?
Sounds mean! ❤

This is way better sounding
Was hoping you would go under the truck and show us but sounds good
Sounds great! What shop did your work? I’m in Alabama.
Man….that’s a pretty ass truck 😭😂😂keep Up the good content man
Well from what I see I’m sure those tires your running doesn’t help the drone noise
I have 2 pipes from the first two cats all the way back to 2 5” tips why does mine not sound as loud as yours idling at stuff what can I do I wanna be a clap wagon you hear miles down the road lmao without cutting my first 2 cats
It sounds good I think you need no X pipe with high flow cats
Next setup you should add high flow cats and two black widow race venom mufflers
I would love to see what the whole setup looks like from the bottom
Which exhaust shop do you use? I'm pretty sure I live in the same area that you do based on some of the footage of the hwy you drive on. I am looking for an exhaust shop local to me to get some work done
My truck drones similar with a magnaflow, your drone issue may be coming from the x-pipe because it’s actually resonating under the truck, I’m no expert but that’s my guess
I feel like the Silverado needs a big cam now
🙌🏼.nothing like a hairy cam 💪🏻
Chuck Norris cam be happy and a oil catch can get one u be happy long run
Does your tire rub front right at full turn or back up?
