View from the rear is cool. Note the large lights inboard which has the word "STOP" in the lens. Made of ruby glass and rare. Turn signal are on either side with a single taillight on the left lower.
That body style is from 1941 through 1946. Superior built the bus body, and Chevrolet supplied the chassis and running gear. It's doubtful that the body is made out of aluminum. It's just been well protected by the aluminum paint that covers most of it. The best way to find out is to use a magnet. It is a beauty, though.
Pretty sweet machine. I think, if it were mine, I'd paint it schoolbus yellow and turn it into a motor home. Also I think a small block Chevrolet V-8 will fit that engine compartment.
That's not the flat head engine I would expect to see. I drove a '47 truck around Seattle in '79 which had the original flat head motor. Good luck with it. It's beautiful!.
You Americans seem to build quite a lot of things out of "aloominum". Here in England we have a metal called "aluminium". Could it be one and the same?
Near Monarch, Montana about 4 miles into forest and would be/will be interesting to bring it down the mountain. Have not purchased - yet. Thanks for the comment.
Easter Miracle!!! That's funny. Made me think of an old bit by Sam Kinison - If Jesus Had A Wife - Insanely Funny!!! ruclips.net/video/S4rbobz9Ylo/видео.html
That is a 235 engine, newer then the bus, early 1950s because it has no tin cover alone heads around spark plugs. Electic horns, not air. Good luck with it
@@rogersmart9380 , it could still be original to the bus, but you are correct it is an early babbitt 235. The bus could be as early as a1941 or as new as 1946.
That bus should be restored it deserves a new life.

That was a 216 o/v motor . Chevy ran o/v motors in the '30's
Chevrolet 1946 6 cilindros a gasolina,câmbio mecânico 4 marchas a frente e re os primeiros marchas seca engate no tempo .muito reduzido e muita força.
how much did the guy want for it? I have one and just curious on what its worth
I'm envisioning a hot rod skoolie with either a 12 valve Cummins or LS engine. That bus is a blank canvas for some lucky fabricator!!!👍
i would keep it stock, but whoever buys it does whatever
So do you know the peaple that own it it would be great if they would sell it
Yes. Ongoing negotiation. Bus will be difficult to extricate.
This one looks complete too

No. Cost to get it out of current location is a sticking point.
Did you buy the bus ?

Camper !! OH yeah !!
Put he camera down and use both hands before you slam the hood around like that...
Damned stupid thing for him to do! Good way to either wreck the hinges or warp the metal!
Ya I cringed on that too😮
Thankyou@@patrickdingman6934
