Thanks for this video! I put a couple of hours into preparing a rogue build before realizing... Flame of the redmanes was nerfed quite some time ago!!! It's not too bad to start a new playthrough and combine your build with my original plan. I wanted something that had a long range option, fast stabby bois, bloodhound step, and a bit of faith so I could utilize rot, poison, and the most OP incantation in the game... Assassin's approach! Haha. Liked & subbed.
Great guide, one of the better ones. But in the future if you make more guide videos can you make like a single screen at some point in the video showing all the talismans and gear at the same time? Possibly when you first show the stats.
Thanks for the video. Only thing I'd change is getting and using the dragon communion seal since it scales with arcane. It's pretty easy to get fairly early and I don't think it weighs anything.
If you use that seal you can also use incantations to do damage
Personally i dont see this as an Dagger Build if you just spam an Bloodloss ability . You can do so many funny Builds with them yet no one does these

Damn! I'm on my first playthrough and went with Reduvia instantly when I saw it had bleed in it (loved bleed in Bloodborne) and my friend knew to tell me to build some arcane with it.
Just minmaxed my stats few days ago since I got stuck on Placidusax and it was suprisingly little that I had to do. I went with bit more mind 'cause I use RoB with it, but I need to check endurance higher for light load for sure and bump more to arcane if it has that high cap. Thanks! This helps haha

1. I can't get the white mask anymore, but my arcane is already at 80, so silver tear mask doesnt rlly make any sense. Do you have any suggestions on another mask?

Yeah, I wanted to make a dagger build once and thought "what's the dagger with best ratio of access speed to power I can get" and found this little gem of a dagger, I couldn't believe how good it was.
I used to use a faith dagger build which I’m not sure how good it is now but it used Misericorde with the flame of the red manes ash of war to stun the boss and then crit stab them since the misericorde is the highest crit dagger
Thank you for the build, I enjoyed it. I have used and very much like this set up. Although spamming the WA is solid, a dodge roll in L2 twice and dodge roll out first will proc Freeze status effect, stagger enemy and slow its attacks, then spam Reduvia WA (will get the bleed proc on the first one) for the additional 20% damage on top of all the other buffs and another stagger. It’s very satisfying to be a cuisinart and it is one of my favorite builds that I have tried. You do need to know how to dodge roll effectively fighting fast bosses or in tight spaces.
Also, don’t underestimate the physical damage of the daggers. With an L2 you land 5 hits in the time of a straight sword attach and can get 10 hits in the time of a great sword. If you also increase Dex as a stat and use Keen infinity on a great knife, the physical damage is really good. Being in range to land all the blows in the challenge, especially on lanky giant types.
Dagger wise there is a build that I have been thinking and has been buffed in multiple ways from the the last 2 patches up that uses the erdsteel dagger . Basiclly the build is a normal faith build that uses the fact that erdstell dagger scales of faith to either use flame incantation or holy incation to scale elemental and physical damage just with faith . Now so far sounds kinda mediocre but the build is kinda built around the ash of war of flaming strike or holy blade depending on what you want to do as both add a flat 90 damage of the perspective element . because your running a faith build you can use incantations like flame grant me strength and golden vow . talisman wise its very flexible but i like winged sword insignia and / or Millicent prosthesis . with all this damage and the added flat damage from the ash of war you can either power stance with a second erdsteel dagger or spam the heavy attack as its unique and is a 2 hit combo that comes out very fast . Haven't gotten far in the character and its more of an idea but all I know is its really good early game and late game you will be able to do normal faith stuff if you want . The entire reason I kinda wanted to make this is in 1.07 flaming strike got buffed and 1.08 daggers got buffed . overall builds comes nicely together as so many different things synergise with as with flame infusion your faith can scale both physical and fire , then you can add on another 90 fire damage with flaming strike , then because your playing a faith build you have access to incantations such as golden vow ( very good on any build ) and flame grants me strength which conveniently buffs fire and physical which your faith scales , also because the weapons are daggers the flat added damage means alot of dps and becaue there fast you can use winged sword for more damage .

For me I prefer the Black Blade over Reduvia, the Black flame is more desirable to me than bleed, that being said, I do use a reduvia in my off hand while power stancing the daggers so that I can get bleed with the black flame

What I like about this is Reduvia uses Somber Smithing Stones which means you can upgrade it all the way to +9 without killing any bosses and up to +10 once you have access to Mohgwyn's Palace.

So many weapons, so many set-ups, so little time to try them all!
You can remove 1.5 weight by using the golden order seal to cast Golden vow since you don't need to meet the requirement to cast buffs. You could use the Frenzied Flame Seal too but it's harder to get (both weight 0). This way you may be able to free the great jar's arsenal talisman spot to gain more attack power (with ritual sword talisman for example) or at least exchange it for erdtree's favor + 2 (will help reach light roll though not as much while raising hp and stamina).
Tip, you can use a faith knot so you invest 10 stat points to other stats.
Hi...awesome build. I just got my endurance tp 19 but max load is only 62.5 instead of 74.3, should I keep putting points into endurance until I get to light load? Thanks...cheers
I used to use dual bloodletters with a bleed AoW on it each one, was about 96 bleed dmg each
You can save points on faith by getting the golden vow ash of war and applying it to a standard dagger to get the same effect.

iam currently using the erdsteel dagger with bloody slash in ma right hand and the crystal knife in my left hand. wanna try switching the crystal knife with the Scorpion's Stinger tho

U could use the dragon communion seal since it has no weight compared to the finger seal.
The Dragon Communion Seal also scales primarily with Arcane, so it’s ideal for an Arcane build. It gets S Arcane scaling at +7 and B Faith scaling at +10, so it’s very good for both Arcane and Arcane/Faith builds. As a bonus, its red color fits the theme of a blood build pretty well.
I also tried reduvia + another dagger as for powerstancing fast attack. It's risky against real dangerous enemies with a lot of poise but with enough timing and the ability of the ranged bloodslash it's an absolutely strong build. However, i think it's boring that most good builds in this game revolve around bloodloss, i'd really like poison or scarlet rot to be meta for daggers to pair with bloodloss.
Unfortunately bleed is just way too strong at the moment. If the nerfed it slightly and buffed other status inflictions then it would definitely be worth using other weapons and builds and such. The next best thing to bleed is frost I would say
No need to nerf bleed they just need to buff other status effects. They might as well make them all the same it’s the easiest way to make other weapons viable and
if you can deal with holy being meh the black knife plus reduvia combo is super nice to play with
Try power stancing antspur rapiers with sepuku. One poison one frost. But you will meet a wall named radabeast. Fun build with the right gear
I'm using a small sword lately, forgot the name lol.. scarlet rot. Too bad no ash of war for scarlet rot. Poison stinks... even using that mushroom crown. Same as white mask but 10% when poison.. oh yeah there's a talisman for it..
Not sure how useful it would be but I imagine the Carian Filigreed Crest would be helpful to lower FP used by skills
For enemies immune to bleed, can’t you keep setting off frostbite if you hit them with fire?
Is that more efficient than using reduvia weapon art?
People should do a level by level, like every, 10 levels, what your stats should be.
Why not just use the golden vow ash of war on a dagger and put a couple of more points into endurance and then put the remaining points into vigor or dex?
This is very similar to my very first build about an hr after release

I play this dagger on my prophet, with poison cloud, rot breath and dreads plus pots. This is my plague monk
I’d recommend for this particular build to also pump a decent amount of points into dex so when you run out of FP your weapons aren’t useless. Also recommend only going to 15 faith, getting Flame, Give me Strength, and then putting a bit more into endurance so you can equip a dagger with the Golden Vow ash of war. The ash of war has no stat req, and is the exact same buff. Might need to level a bit higher to make it work but it does work really well. My favourite build so far though has to be STR/FAI for Maliketh’s Black Blade. Thing does stupid damage with DOT and HP reduction.
Problem with Golden Vow ash of war is that it only lasts 45 secs, which means the effect will often stop around when you get to bosses' second phase, which is where you need it most and don't have time to switch weapon and recast. Another way is going to 15 faith but using the faith knot talisman as part of your wondrous physic flask, which will boost your faith to 25 and be able to cast the incantation for 3 min. Even if your boss fight lasts longer than that, you can still cast it again right before the 3 min is over. So you only need to cast 2 times to get around 3 min of buff, compared to around 4 times with the ash of war, which is impractical really (you will probably have to drink a blue flask too with the AoW!). Besides, you will free 1.5 weight by not having to carry a "golden vow dagger".
@@acharat6 It’s true but thats 10 levels or possibly more for FP that you’re wasting, but when you run out of FP, if you don’t have enough dex youre gonna be there all day

I wonder how this build would fair against Godfrey the Golden, the Black Flame Kindreds, Crystallians, Godskins, Erdtree Avatars, Loretta, Radagon and other Immune to Hemorrhage bosses??? Kindly show us?
As if right now I’m running the reduvia and beast armor set for the high poise and resistance but I use the white mask for the increased bleed damage and I have my endurance at level 20 vigor level 26 arcane 20 and Dex 18 (I’m still in early game w this build btw) ☝️☝️

Idk what I'm doing wrong but I can't power stance with daggers for some reason, when I use L1 I just hit normally with the left dagger... Power stance works fine for all other weapons, like greatswords, katanas, spears
Is one of the daggers you are using the Wakizashi? That dagger uses the katana moveset, so will pair with them instead of daggers.
I've been using the exaltation and mask (and) reduvia, then swapping with 1800 attack Blasphemous Blade. I cant find a higher attack rating plus it sucks out HP every hit with takers flames.. it already one shots most enemies now it demolishes Melania. He forgets poise... go for at least 51, yes it matters. It's boring though...
How are bleed procs with dual wielding L1's as I believe a lot of values were nerfed for bleed builds? Personally I think theres too many bleed options in the game, and all super strong, and only daggers perhaps should have more bleed build up to balance it out. But thus far I open up with a Black knife AoW, then reduvia them. Also got a misericorde for the pokey pokey and a little more range, Seemed to help vs Erdtree avatars as I whiff a lot with regular swipes.
They need more status build up since the basic attacks fall behind a lot in comparison to most of the weapons in the game : )
I discovered this weapon on my own yesterday, and it's the best weapon ever. It just melts bosses, and it was also amazing for melting the sleeping dragon for rune farming. rating: 69/10

Reduvia has carried me. I have it paired with an ivory sickle. Love the power stance. Speed is more important to me than hitting power. I suck at this game and need the extra time. Lol

(This one is really an endgame build for shits and giggles not really amazing but can be fun) Light equip load, Bandits dagger, max upgrade dual wield these, whatever ash of war floats your boat/play style , with poison imbuement and the attack increase with successive strikes along with the attack increase in vicinity of blood loss and attack increase in vicinity of poison along with the defense boost talisman, 99 dex, 99 arcane, and whatever else you really want your stats to be, I recommend at least decent vitality tho and if you’re really struggling with a boss just pop mimic tear most times unless they’re resistant I watch health bars melt

@@sythex92 what are you talking about? It's almost impossible to NOT become OP eventually in this game, regardless of which build you're using. Daggers are the fastest (and lightest) weapons. Don't you think that it'd be a bit unfair if they had the same damage output as a colossal weapon? Daggers also have the highest crit damage. So you could go for some sort of parry or stance breaking build with a dagger. Every weapon type has its strengths as well as some flaws, otherwise there would be no point in having multiple weapon types.
I'd like to suggest playthroughs with caster dagger + catalyst. Glintstone Kris + Staff of choice or Erdsteel Dagger with Flame Art + Seal makes an agile caster with fast melee moveset and variety of effective spell options to play around
I noticed one of the Rotten Sisters actualy uses the very same setup - Erdsteel Dagger + Seal to cast Pest Threads
It seams like Fromsofware intended such playstyle to be used :)
I use a earthsteel Knife fire build ans IT melts bosses without thé need of Bleed
@@user-jp8qw5rs6u Yup. Erdsteel daggers on a pure faith caster are beyond amazing. And you can get two per playthrough. I've been able to get both of them above a 1000 AR at 80 faith without having to use the rapid attack talismans. They can pretty easily shred through most things at that point.

Any innate bleed daggers, one cold infused one flame art infused. You have the threat of bleed building up and continuous frost procs since fire damage completely resets the timer.

@@TheBioBeast when you proc freeze, you can't refreeze the target for 60 seconds. Any instance of fire damage resets the cooldown

Question. Why use the Reduvia bloody Ash of War: Reduvia Blood Blade which cost 6FP per slash in chain when you can equip another dagger with Ash of War: Blood Blade, which is 3FP per hit in chain…
Someone explain? Is there a legitimate benefit that I am missing here?
Becuse Ash of War: Blood Blade, have:
a) lower damage
b) weaker bleed build up
c) cost HP additionally (45 per every start of combo )

The bleed/strength build I have should work just fine as long as you level your character up more : )
Strength Faith build with blasphemous blade is super strong.
Int build with Death Poker + Blasphemous blade - focuses on ash of war on the Death poker - proc freeze, then hit with powerstance (the fire damage resets the freeze) then proc freeze again. Ash of war really easily procs freeze and does tons of damage. One L2 + R1 can do 10k damage or more depending on the enemy and how much they sit in the flames. The fun thing is with this kind of setup you have a ton of flexibility and can really switch to whatever you want. You can be a full caster, you can do powerstance greatsword jump attacks, you can use the darkmoon greatsword, you can use moonveil, you can use wing of astel and a shield. Tons of options and versatility without changing your stats around at all.
Run a pure faith build with a polearm type weapon to use black flame tornado. percentage based damage with no rising resistances, so the NG cycle doesn't even matter.

Btw for some reason Reduvia Blood blade does more plain damage than any weapon with the 3 FP ash of war. Well i haven't tested every single weapon but especially it's noticeable especially after proccing white mask and lord of bloods... also faster.

It's based on your arcane stat I think, so you probably don't have 80 Arcane like he does
1:40 Wrong. Hard Cap for all stats is 99. As hard cap means you can't go further. 80 for Arcane and 60 for Vigor are the last Soft Caps.

Hardcap: the limit which the game allows. For elden ring that's 99 for all attributes.
Softcap: the cap at which a stat no longer provides a benefit to you. Rare in elden ring.
Deminishing returns: The more you invest, the less benefits you get. That's what you have discribed.
Soft cap. It's a soft cap. 99 is the hard cap.
First off you need way more endurance as this build eats stamina. Also you don’t need as much health and you need way more Dex. With 40 dex you get close and cast your skill and the blood and dagger hit does double the damage your doing and way more blood loss. Your literally using this build like a how build with blood lol.. waste of a character. Go to level 200 instead of 150 and level dex up higher and endurance. Way kore
Dmg and way more Fun. Refugio got buffed like 6-8 months ago and does way more dmg when hitting as do all daggers.

Hard cap is when it doesn't raise at all. 80+ gives diminishing returns but it is not a hard cap. The hard cap is 99.
I wish people would use proper terms.
I've always heard it as soft cap being when u get a slight reduction of return, hard cap as major reduction of return, and then just maxed out.
But some things do mean slightly different things in different parts of the world so 🤷 I just sorta go with flow of it ya know?
