I'm trying to figure out how often I need to create new pins for my product, how many boards do I pin to and how often? And do I schedule them out or what? I don't mean to sound dumb but I need some guidance.
This was so helpful! So for the 5-10 boards I create, am I pinning a mix of my created pins and re-pins from others to the boards? I’d love to see where you put these pins on your boards after you create them. This was such great information! TYSM! 🙌🏻✨🥰
I'll do more videos. But yes. I do a mix of my items and repins that are in my niche and I know come from respectable places. Make sure to go to the site before repining others items. You don't want to use links that are not working or from sites that aren't reputable.
In the beginning a link to your Amazon books is best. As you get more books and are selling you can create a website. Start easy first and upgrade as needed
Great info! Thank you! So if I converted my personal account (which was all over the place) to a business account, should I open up a separate one just for personal? Is there a way to move the boards that don’t have anything to do with my business from the business account to the new personal account? I hope that makes sense. Also how do I manage my current boards and sections? I feel like I need to reorganize those. TIA 😊
Sorry I'm slow to reply. But you can just add a business account. I wouldn't convert your personal unless it is empty. But just add a business one to your personal. I have 2 business and 1 personal all under the same log on. you just switch profiles
I have Canva Pro. I followed what you said regarding templates and frames. If I drop a regular picture in, like you did, it works fine. If I drop a book cover in, it asks to replace current template. Please show a video using a book cover. Thanks for everything! I'm going to use your advice and join Pinterest.
What is the format if your book cover. I create a jpeg of just the front cover and upload it. So in that sense my cover is just like any other picture.
So also, l sell both kids and adult coloring books, aswell as notebooks , journals etc. do you think l should keep coloring book accounts separate aswell? its seem like a lot
I have been watching your tutorials and I wanted to ask a couple of questions. I write and illustrate children’s books and after putting my first book on for sale (amazon)…I have no sales. I used Amazon ads and there were no results even after trying to figure it all out for 6 months. There are so many ways and sites to advertise your books that it gets overwhelming! Pinterest seems like the most fun of them all. If I create 10 boards, do I put all of the pins that I have created for my book on each board or do I put one of my created pins for my book on one board then another one of my pins for my book on another and so on? Have you ever promoted your pins with success or is pinning enough? Thank You!
I have never paid to promote on pinterest though I'm sure it works. Some products would be better than others. I put the 10 pins on several boards. The ones that make the most sense. Some are on 3 boards others 8. I usually have a quote board that really only has quotes that my audience would be interested in.
Either can work. If you use idea pins I would probably focus on one product and then show different pages or ways to use the product. That way the pin link can go directly to the product.
I'm a bit stumped on getting started with Pinterest. I have two Author Names (Brands) that I have most of my books under. Both of these brands are generic i.e. for log books, journals, planners, notebooks. I have many niches in each Author Name (Brand) as long as it is a log book, I publish under that Author Name. Is it okay to create a generic Pinterest account and many Boards for any type of log books? Or should I be creating Pinterest business accounts for each type (niche) of book - example: Camping Journal?
I would definitely use a a business account (you can just sign up for one from you account now and then it is easy to switch between profiles) because you can see the analytics side. You can do all your books under one account. Your pinterest account won't be as affective if you are targeting a ton of different niches, but you will still get views and if you make sure to make your pins very keyword rich you will still get exposure.
Ashley, I stumbled upon a video that surprised me; the channel is "Nicole Relax.Cut.Glue" and she has huge interaction so I'm thinking this a hobby people are passionate about. Maybe a niche? Books in color filled with clipart and digital paper patterns as background images? Regardless, it's a fun watch 👍😀.
@@AshleySchmitt , ok, so Paul Marles JUST made a video about this exact niche LOL! They refer to them as collage books ~ On another note, I watched an interesting video on "life gamification" this morning; that could be one heck of journal 😉 "Better Than Yesterday/I Increased My Productivity 10x"
@@AshleySchmitt I had a funny experience that prompted some inspiration; I work as a cashier in a big box store. Scanning boxes of great value store brand kid's cereals when I notice all these neat word games, mazes, and other "activity book-worthy" style puzzles on the backs. I had NEVER seen some of them before. Instant light bulb moment LOL!
Another niche idea to add: Neurographic Art. Possibly a medium content workbook explaining the theory behind it with tutorials. A trick for creating color-by-number for early learners: keep the interior black and white then add a color chart with corresponding numbers on the back cover as a guide.
I just started with pintrest for my low content books , can l ask if you seen much sucess and how much you amde by pintrest marketing ? If its not a secreat, also lm so confused on how to organize all my content, like should l post one cover and then a few pages of the book, and also put all that in a board, or should l for ex do a video only
You can. And you will get impressions but you won't see a quick growth because of your divided efforts. I would make sure to be very SEO conscious and make sure you are using keywords everywhere you can. People use the search function on pinterest and your items can be found that way if you use keywords well.
Hi Ashley, I noticed recently on Amazon the share button that is usually below our books on the listing has moved to above, the links to Facebook worked for me but not the Pinterest ones. It does not recognize them . I now have to create links in Booklinker then paste them onto the pin listing where it says add URL.
@@AshleySchmitt ok that’s simple enough! Thank you so much. Also I wanted to let you know that your RUclips videos have taught me so much! Have you been able to incorporate Ai in your workflow/process?
Yes. As a user, I prefer to go to exactly what product I want if I'm interested. So I try to follow that mindset instead of trying to get people interested a bunch of things they originally did not want or were looking for. Make it easy for them to buy
thanks much for your response I had read that Pinterest did not allow direct links and that I needed to send to a website. thanks again @@AshleySchmitt

Regular pinning works best. So, make several pins and then schedule them out so you are constantly putting up new material.
thats so cool, let me try immediately. How how do I ensure traffic onto my pintrest page?
Really helpful, I want to start a pinterest account and this has given some ideas, just need to figure out how the site actually works.
glad it helped

I keep my personal boards as secret boards. Then I make the professional boards more organized because having multiple accounts gets confusing.
