Good job / well done! I understand water pumps can be an issue on these engines, but you’ve shown that it’s not difficult to take care of. Great video!
What’s the component on the other end of the hose you broke?? Is that the thermostat? Mine is pouring out and I don’t know what to order. Big weird plastic thing. Haha. Thanks
Also you never explained that when you put the seal into the new pump you push it in till it hits the lip inside the pump... And when you push the new pump on you have to be very careful and push the new pump on straight.... If you don't you can crack the water jacket behind the pump and the pump could leak if you mess up that new rubber o ring that sit inside the back of the pump
Is this what I'm not doing? Because I've taken the pump off and on 6 times, and it keeps leaking appears from the back connection of the pump. Maybe I need to put the seal inside the pump first? Perhaps. I know it's something simple rather than taking it to a shop and getting charged a fortune.
I fucking love you man, shops quote a grand for this. Bit confused on how to best drain it first. Should I remove the lower air guard and then I can find a drain plug? That little plastic hose is a common failure point though, yeah
Hey Kyle, should I do what Johnathan mentioned in these comments. I've literally taken the pump off 6 times. There seems to be a leak from the bottom, appears coming from the back of the pump. Am Im not sealing the seal correctly. Or is it something else. Can't be something else because I didn't have the issue but a leak before removing the old pump.
So the plastic elbow connector that broke, how does the O ring & retainer and elbow connector install (order or locations) ? O Ring around the elbow then inserted into water pump? Or over nipple of elbow or in the port on water pump before retainer?
Thanks for the video. Question the oil cooler pipe from block , does it get a o ring with the rib ? The same one the goes on other end into water pump ? Any help be appreciated
I use Amazon parts and it work I had to change the thermostat housing and water pump all started leaking at 90k miles. All at the same time . Don’t ask me how it happen
This got me nervous I been looking at these for the last month I was going to trade my Infiniti q70 in for a 2018 xf with 18k miles but this got me nervous my Infiniti had no issues since I had it for the last 3yrs beside dealer preventive maintenance
mine could very well be connected to the fact that I rip on it all day! outside this I too have not had any issues. This is prob covered under warranty too...
@@chef_nick3022 man I don't really know I was going to see about the jag this week they waiting for me but the jag only got 18k miles on it but my Infiniti is so reliable I don't think jag is reliable like the Infiniti but I got warranty on my transmission lol warranty on every part lol
@@duddaman254118 Nice move! I think you will be good. I rip the piss out of mine for the last year and a half...its been good haha. How many miles your's have?? enjoying so far?
The Jaguar AJ126 & AJ133 motors are designed and built by Jaguar. The original Jaguar AJ-V8 was designed prior to Ford's ownership of Jaguar which ended around 2010. You might see a few scattered Ford markings on some accessory parts but nothing of significance.
What are you SERIOUS ????? Your supposed too be showing them how to remove everything to get to the pump... All u do is fast forward and show nothing please stop doing videos your not helping anyone I'm sorry to say

Brilliant video thanks mines just gone with only 33k on the clock must be an issue with them.
That same nipple type broke the other day when I had someone working on it. Nobody had it available and I'm not waiting for it to be shipped.

It's not water pump, it one of coolant pipes underneath the supercharger, common issue unfortunately
Did you figured it out. I have same issue.

O Ring around the elbow then inserted into water pump? Or over nipple of elbow or in the port on water pump before retainer?
What’s the name of the hose
What’s the name/part number for the hose??
You sure leak is not coming from coolan pipes underneath the supercharger?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it were.😊
do you have the all wheel drive version or the rwd of the 35t ?
How long did the job take you please.
real time with no mistakes..about hour and a half complete

Do I need to use gasket sealer for my water pump and metal gaskets?
No, you do not need to use a sealer.
Mines when out at 90k miles

What is the cost for a mechanic to replace the water pump and thermostat?
Jaguar estimated 3k
Hey bro I have the same car I want you to help me with my Jaguar XE 35t 2017.
How money did you spent ?
It was around 85 bucks for the actual pump. 15 more for gallon of coolant
I use Amazon parts and it work I had to change the thermostat housing and water pump all started leaking at 90k miles. All at the same time . Don’t ask me how it happen

Yes completely, it has parts of ford but no identical engine on any of their cars
