Here's the bigger question, is the Moonshiner already dead and the place destroyed BEFORE you reach the house and trigger the explosion? I know it's possible to use toggle free cam to look at things from a distance so it has me curious if the NPC is alive and just standing around or already a corpse.

I think something similar happened in FO3. It happened in the back of a truck trailer. An explosion happened and a body goes flying out the back. I think the failed chemist was trying to make explosions though.
