If I ever witnessed people taking goods from a store I would intervene not because I feel bad for a massive corporate franchise but because the fact that somebody thinks that they can just walk away with bags of items without paying makes me furious.
Obviously depending on the situation sometimes it is not worth getting involved and risking your life but the entitlement felt today by certain groups makes me sick.

I'm not getting caught up in any way with someone shop-lifting. Nowadays if you stopped them they would cry racism and that you hurt them and scarred their kid for life they likely have with them.

When i worked at a grocery store i remember a guy walked out of the side door holding a hand basket filled with 7-8 bottles of wine and 2 bags of cheeto puffs on top in an attempt to hide all the wine and he told my coworkers and I, "Don't worry I'll bring this pallet back, yall aint gotta worry ill bring this pallet back".
He was obviously on drugs and unhinged enough to blatantly steal like that and he referred to the handbasket calling it a pallet. So he obviously hadn't worked a week in his life. To nobodys suprise he never brought the "pallet" back. But i didnt need to tell anybody that you already knew.
