@@dirpycatkittymeowmeow9099 yes. It's part of the digestive system. It's like a pouch that's in their throat. When it looks like it's yawning a few times in a row it is actually cleaning it out, just getting out the food.
My bird doesn't feather pluck but he does the same action shown in the video without actually plucking it. I thought he was just cleaning himself during a motorcycle ride while waiting for the traffic light. If you're gonna tell me riding makes him stressed then how come every time he sees me hop on my bike without him, he becomes excited and wants to crawl out of his cage like he wants me to take him for a ride as well but if i was just wandering about, he's just there sitting in his branch quietly. My bird never attempted to fly away during a ride except that one time when it started to rain. After finding cover, he flew back in my shoulder and started doing that plucking action again without actually plucking anything that's why i thought he was just cleaning himself.
I'd like to know why my female cockatiel makes an annoying squawk for no apparent reason. She has food, water, toys and shes hanging out with us outside of her cage for most of the day.
They are intrigued by the darkness in your mouth and by what teeth really are. However, it's not good to let them continue doing this, because human saliva can contain harmful bacteria for a parrot.
My female cockatiels love to hang upside down and flap their wings. I see it as a sign of "I'm the queen of this perch!" 🦜👑
I know about the hissing. My boy is telling me leave me alone NOW lol
I want to know why my cocketiel does what looks to be yawning over and over
My cockatiel does that too
She's cleaning her crop
@@erikblomberg625 crop?

The first time I saw my cockatiel do this, it scared me because it seemed like something was stuck in her throat. I’m glad to hear that it wasn’t
مرحبا .. لماذا طيري الكوكتيل لا يغرد ولا يتكلم إلا عندما يقف على أصابع ساقي؟؟ ولا أعرف السبب ..
Love it!😊

Now I know why bird pickle flaps her wings…
Cute 🥰
My cockatiel regurgitates but nothing comes out. Is that normal?
Yes, its actually adjusting its crop/helping food settle down

My male does this to get my attention or when he see's other birds outside
Mine does that sound when it really wants attention. When yours does it, just talk to it
Can you tell me why my cockatiel always likes to go inside our mouths and pluck at out teeth when we open our mouths?😂😂😁
