Thanks! Unfortunately, all I have is the sun, so this is a great help!
haha sometimes its all you need! Thanks dude!
Even if you have access to expensive camera, it's nice that you show consideration to people that can only afford phone camera, a shower curtain and a 40$ second hand Gimbal.
That friendly smile in your voice, such a positive attitude. You make me feel like I can do it!
You are very talented and such a nice soul.
Love from Montréal
Ps Just subscribed today!
Ps2 Always thumb up to show respect.
Mike looks like a character you’d be customizing in Skate but with high resolution mod. Looks hella nice. Good job Danny! Very informative in such a simple manner. Keep’em coming sir

Hahaha thank you so much man!
over a year ago i literally bought black and white bed sheets and also black and white poster boards for this reason, but i never ended up using them because i didn't understand what i was doing and i gave up after a few tries and now i just use my reflector. i'll have to pull those back out soon.
Haha I have both of those as well
Awesome guide per usual Danny. Congrats on the Moment Lesson my dude - you’re great. Love you too❤️
Thanks so much brotha!!
Love this one! Gotta try these ideas when I’m vlogging out on the course
Haha def man! Goodluck on your next round
Why do u put the silk on a extention pole and a c-stand and not just straight into a griphead on the c-stand? Is there a logic behind this or just the way you like to do it? Wondering if there is any benefit! Nice video Dan!
Great video! Can you please make a video on how to make that diffusion frame?
The value of this is huge
please make a video how to make walking shot when shooting in harsh sunlight
Love your videos man! Always inspirational as hell. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next one🤙🏼😁
Amazing to hear bro! Thank you!!

Killing it, just watched the free interior segment as well! Keep it up!
Awesome dude!! Glad you liked it
Danny, you are a true mentor but is the black fill necessary? I just dont see much difference
Thank you. Do you have a video or tips of what to do in harsh light situations when a filming on a group tour, for example, such as visiting historical landmarks in Europe? Thank you in advance.
Did you add an eagle sound at 4:30 in the time line???? Lol

Haha gettin there! Thanks so much!!
Awesome advice! I`m filming videos for my channel on the rooftop in the morning, but if the sky is clear - I`m so overexposed (( Do you think using the reflector will help if I stay 10 steps away from the camera?
Easy going learning, thx for sharing your knowledge
Such a nice video! Thank you!
What would you recommend for a diffuser if someone doesn't want to spend a lot of money but wants one about the same size as yours?
I love your videos! This is such a good tutorial and you explained so well man :)
One question, does the course have an English sub? I don't speak English well and I would like to know if you have them before buying it, please.
Super helpful video 😁
Great video my friend! Thank you 🙏
Amazing video as always Danny!
Awesome man! Thank you so much!
As usual so good
Amazing to hear thank you so much!
Hi! This video was so helpful. What did you use to attach it to the stand?
Great video bro. Thanks
Thanks Derry!!
thanks for sharing! thanks man
A much needed video thanks 🙏🏾
Remember watching this one when I first found your channel two years ago. Watched it again today after an unexpected weather situation on today’s shoot. I feel like the soft light situation was covered, but the light was still too bright for my subjects eyes. How do you usually solve that?
I'll get that right away!
you read my mind. i was thinking - "ooh, that could use some neg" lol .. congrats on the course! I know it's going to be super valuable 🙌🙌 btw.. jealous of where you're moving 😅
Hahaha don’t tell anyone yet! Thanks brotha!!
Awesome video man. This was so easy to do and I'm thinking of ways to actually make my own lighting kit stuff. I have access to hardware shops and fabric shops where i can get all this stuff made. I'm going to show you in a video what i end up making in the next few months.
Amazing to hear man thank you!
Hello danny thanks for this video and i wish you all the best. Dude today i was shooting a river with a mountin view and the sun was beside the mountain the video was not clear at all should i use nd filter if the sun was againts me ? I never used one till now
Needed this, man! New to videos and it’s very obvious! Lol. Thanks, Danny!
I never thought watching someone water their plants could be so interesting...
Hahaha he’s the best at it
@@DannyGevirtz A true pro haha he deserves his own masterclass 😂
Literally when you announced your lighting course I went to go grab my wallet to buy it hahahhah thank you for sharing this knowledge with us!
Hahaha that’s incredible dude! Thank you so much! Can’t wait for you to get into it!
Ur voice is really relaxing
That’s an amazing compliment! Thank you!
Man amazing.
Can someone walk me through any tips for shooting a wide shot in broad daylight with multiple people?
I Just backlight with the sun and do nothing else haha
Where can I buy this sized diffuser and and fill?
Thank you Danny! Always so helpful.
You should definitely consider creating a cinematography/storytelling masterclass, I would definitely check it out!
Haha I think this lesson with moment as far as I’ll go! Not really my aspirations to make a ton of high level courses ya know
@@DannyGevirtz truee, I get that!
Thank you for the tip!
looking for an outdoor diffusion setup and this video came in right! Appreciate... may I ask your scrim set up choice?
5:56 is that Gene there holding the camera? Great video and simple to replicate solution 🙏💪
Thank you!!! Idk a gene haha
@@DannyGevirtz Oh 😉.. I thought of Gene Nagata from "Potato Jet" 😅
Thank you sir :)
Thanks for this video! I got
A new job recently where I have to photograph indoor and outdoor with subject’s hats on. Any suggestions on how to combat the harsh shadows? It’s a constant challenge. I think a diffuser will help outside but often am taking promo type pics of 1-2 individuals with their cars, so a single diffuser is challenging and full shade isn’t always an option. I haven’t really seen any videos talking about how to fill light under hats, would love your opinion on this and if I should focus more on fill light or diffusing in field. Thanks!
Where do you place the negative fill?
Cheers pal
love Danny great
I am really scared of this technique. I always thought that the diffusion on the actor would stop a bit of light. I thought the background would be more bright and we would focus less on the actor. Is this a real issue or is my thoughts not true?
Thanks for the videos Danny! How would you do this for a non-static shot or a wide shot?
Haha a bigger crew and bigger diffusion frame
In the UK we have gods softbox above us all the time. 😆
Priceless information ℹ️ 🔥
Ay thank you man! Glad you thought so!
good work
great one man! thanks!
Thanks so much dude!
@@DannyGevirtz you're the man! btw I had goosebumps while watching the video "Giving 20,000 of gear to a filmaker in africa" Can't contain the joy!
What kind of fabric is this?
Hey Danny are you shooting this raw and color grading later?
Yep!!
Hey Danny! Long time listener, first time caller! Just one quick question. What scrim are you using in this video? Thanks bud!
Hey Man in from a Matthew’s flag kit ii
@@DannyGevirtz Much appreciated! Keep it up!
Where did you get your sun scrim from?
