80s is my favourite decade too. I would also put the 50s, 90s, 70s, and 60s on there too (in that order). Some early 2000s stuff is good too. Good music really petered out by the time the 2010s rolled around and good music doesn’t exist at all so far in the 2020s.

Man, the 80s. I miss when it seemed like people were having FUN!!! No matter what was going on in your life or the world, the optimism was everywhere!! What a time!!
Listen I hate to burst your bubble, but you really don't want to go back to the 80s. Why? The Cold War was still going on, the AIDS crisis, the crack epidemic, and there was still a lot of racism.
I was the same age. Aside from music, the 80's weren't that great. In fact, that's where all the current economic and political shit got its start. Do some homework, and you'll see. Most of our economic and political problems began in the early 80's
Forty years ago my sister got to go to a Huey Lewis concert. Her tickets were for front row center, and it proved to be the perfect place to be; Huey had some scarves draped around his neck and he took one of them off and handed it directly to my much enamored sister! She still has that scarf today, and still recalls the concert with joy.
These videos have a bunch of hot tramps… I blast this one at work and sing along when then say heart and soul hot and cold whoa!!! Whooooooooooooooaaa!!!! Then I say it’s Britney bitch!!!
1983,first year of high school. Quiet Riot, Journey, Def Leppard, VanHalen, and Huey Lewis and The News ruling our class hallways at school. The stories those hallways could tell....
So beautiful memories... Friends, girls, dancing, life was more simple, l lived in a small town, with so many economic necessities but l was the most happiest, gosh, the music!
I wanted to check on discogs and found out the mix engineer on the Sports album and presumably this single is the legendary Bob Clearmountain. And yeah, this sounds crystalline in my speakers- better than I expected and better than most songs of that 1983 era. Rewarding to know it was credited to someone big who has industry-wide recognition. I'd even look into the assistants on this and see what they are up to now. Mixing is a true art and these cats have it figured out. Producers today can learn a lot from them.
the superior production is one of the main reasons why Huey's cover version was a big hit and the original by Exile wasn't, despite both versions being very similar

Meee toooo!!!
Awesome time ..Heart & Soul
Same here! (A Brazilian)
I've listened to this song over 60 times today, I'm gen z and I love this music
Damn....Call Me Crazy, But The 80s is The Best Musical Era Of All Time!!!!
80's were good, but 60's & 70's were better!
The Best
True!!!
80s is my favourite decade too. I would also put the 50s, 90s, 70s, and 60s on there too (in that order).
Some early 2000s stuff is good too. Good music really petered out by the time the 2010s rolled around and good music doesn’t exist at all so far in the 2020s.
Esa locura vale la pena disfrutarla yo también digo lo mismo
Re-living videos/songs like this is one of the best things about RUclips.
What great memories: 1983/84/85 - the Classic era of the 1980’s - so much great music !
IT WAS A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!!!!
Super 70 s much better than today 😊🎉..
@@RobertHill-ju3ow “Today” is the lowest point in humanity- Anything is “up” from here
Huey rules!
If this song doesn't take you back to the 80s, nothing will. Huey Lewis was the 80s. One of his better tracks
I was born in 1994 and I love music from the entire 20th century from the 1900s to the 1990s. When it comes to music, I live by the saying, "Variety is the spice of life." I don't have anything against today's music. I mean, I like Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons. However, I will be honest about one thing. While I like hip hop and rap as much as the next person, I despise music that involves twerking or anything related to such dancing, such as this song for example.

I'm still dancing to this tune!
Good tune! 10 on the 10 scale!
Christmas 2022! ♥...
Likely the best lmao
@@treseancann1261you VERY MUCH contradicted yourself. So much so to the fact that the last sentence of your comment nearly has me blocking your profile, I love all music and the edm lands somewhere in the middle of discovering it all. You possibly say what you initially had said and then close it out with your final statement. Shameful.
@@treseancann1261bet you don’t like metal either
Huey Lewis and for me his best song! Who can resist to dance to this one!!
Reagan in Office '81`-89 Was a far far cry from Optimism....Yet my Nefarious Activities Sure Helped
Reagan was the best President we’ve had since Kennedy.
@@PaulCampbell-mo1vc We Haven't HAD A Pres.Since Bonzo Sucked His Own Joint
They really hit it out of the park with this one.
Agreed!!!!
Huey just walks up on the dance floor, squares off with the girl...takes her by the hand and gets it!
Heart and Soul!
Because he can’t dance .
MonkeyBoo! Great to see you here!
Because he's a frikkin' boss!
Huey Lady Killer Lewis ...... XD
MonkeyBoo! this is the second time I find you on a video!
40 years after and still rocking!
this song just makes me feel good!!!
well said
Dennis Wooten is this song that won’t make you feel too good? (See what I did there?)
Me too lol
I know Right!!!
HUEY LEWIS' voice ..sounding fabulous these days>> 40 years later//!! That -- is-- today's NEWS.
This was ruling the airwaves in the 80's. Rightfully so. So lucky to have been a teen then.
Ah girl, take me back!! I miss those days. Especially with all the crap going on these days. The world is NOT getting better.!!
It gets worse before it gets better. Armageddon stuff. TRUST ME!!!😁
Coming from someone born in 72
@@missmew3499True!!!!
my favorite Huey Lewis song
You cannot go wrong with Huey Lewis and the News. Always a good song to kick back and listen to.
I am to it taught me alot amen thank you Jesus amen❤❤❤
What can I say...80s forever...heart and soul...she's got it all👍
Love this song since I was 7. Today I'm 47. Good memories!
I was 11, I remember awesome times!!!!....
Ah, the 1980's. I was 16 years old when this aired. Part of the soundtrack of my youth. Thanks HL&TN for all the great music!
I was the same age. Aside from music, the 80's weren't that great. In fact, that's where all the current economic and political shit got its start. Do some homework, and you'll see. Most of our economic and political problems began in the early 80's
Same here!
Huey is too cool for words. He's got the looks, that sweet voice, and the confidence of knowing you are really good at what you do
These videos have a bunch of hot tramps… I blast this one at work and sing along when then say heart and soul hot and cold whoa!!! Whooooooooooooooaaa!!!! Then I say it’s Britney bitch!!!
I'd love to be Huey Lewis for one day, just to have all the girls look at me >3 >3
@Ralph Furley Fucken guy TRIPS over it in the morning!
1983,first year of high school. Quiet Riot, Journey, Def Leppard, VanHalen, and Huey Lewis and The News ruling our class hallways at school. The stories those hallways could tell....
Markis5150 My first year of HS as well!!!! Awesome!!
I hated high school in the 80's but at least the the music we had was fantastic.
I was definitely born a decade too late
So beautiful memories... Friends, girls, dancing, life was more simple, l lived in a small town, with so many economic necessities but l was the most happiest, gosh, the music!
I was in 4th grade 😊
*This video has EVERY wardrobe and hairstyle of the 80's in it......................................... GENIUS*
Yes! If some who didn't grow up in the 80's wants to know what it was like, this video has it all.

@@dennisthemenace3695 I'll give you that. But that TOO, was the 80's look.
@@dennisthemenace3695 I'm not sure about that
Hewey Lewis and the News still the best band, from the 80s, today, tomorrow and forever❤️❤️❤️
@noragharbaoui5340. Hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here
I can't get over how well produced this is. Every instrument in its place. Every part of the frequency spectrum highlighted at varying points.
I miss the 80's! I was still young and the world seemed bigger with so many possibilities!
I was thinking the same.
i remember when i was 8yrs old and running to the "country store" not "convenience store" with 75 cents to buy ketchup chips was everything. back when you mom would send you out to buy smokes and MC Hammer was #1 on the top 6@6 on am640 radio.
Corona virus madness. Seeking happy. This video and song rise to the occasion. Huey’s voice. The guitar player. The general goofy vibes. It helps.
She's heart and soul....
Los 80, la decada más genial de la historia,
Puro corazón y alma!!! 💪
This song is Huey Lewis And The News' best track out of their entire music catalog, in my opinion. It is also at #3 out of my all-time favorite songs from 1983.
Without a shadow, Alexander.
Agreed 100%
Good stuff. Power of Love, Heart of Rock n Roll, and Heart and Soul are all decent. Edge to Power of Love... powerful stuff.
I'll agree with you on the first point.
Agreed.. never seems to be bored of it
I miss the 80's, not the bad stuff but the happy-go-lucky innocense it had
