Turns out "something went wrong" way back in 1972, so all the story might be the consequences of the initial mistake and Ivan B desperately trying to fix the things he broke.
It's hard to say what Ivan's intentions are with the backrooms but something is definitely going on with him. Something really interesting is the song that was used for the prototype video is called "Congratulations, Ivan". Did he get what he wanted? Is that a sarcastic congratulations? Intriguing...
@@sketchups4672 It was only a fragment used there. I believe Kane holds the full track for the ending scene/titles. It doesn't sound sarcastic or otherwise "off" to me, rather glorifying and calming, which might mean the intentions were really good, yet the road was long and not straightforward. Still not sure what he achieved at the end, it's unlikely people will use the Backrooms, though FF2 might suggest at least some parts were occupied as of 1996 (the white rooms visible thru keyhole). Yet it was still kept in secret for some reason as the girl behind the camera didn't recognize the place. Amazing track, anyway.
@@AntonOliinyk @AntonOliinyk I think async as a whole organisation have good intentions, and while I don't think there will be a "bad guy", I am open the idea someone knows or is doing a little more than what is shown. We've already seen the company is willing to suppress incidents to achieve their goal so it doesn't seem too farfetched. As for Ivan however, only time will tell, but he is clearly going to be one of the main characters throughout this series. Another thing that you may find interesting is on kane's music channel he has a 12 minute composition titled "IVN" (probably for Ivan) the track itself is rather ominous and I'd describe the music as feeling "unsure". It's accompanied by the thumbnail of a very strange figure surrounded by similar green lights. It does make me wonder what is in store for Ivan to have a 12 minute ominous composition named after him. Also the thumbnail almost reminds me of a player entering creative mode and having godlike powers, and since we've already seen that the green light seems to be related to the backrooms changing, it may not be as wild as I first thought. it would be great to have your thoughts on this? You are right about the stuff the girl discovered. I haven't had an explanation for the door or the holes in the floor and wall but I like your theory for it being a part of those projects.
@@sketchups4672 The IVN track thumbnail is a blurred frame from the video "IVN Live Performance ft. Anthony Dawkins (Found Footage) (REAL)", a 14s video of some weird concert with a man performing in front of lazer lights and Anthony Dawkins (or Ivan Beck?) portrait slowly appearing on the screen above him with people cheering about it. So the green lights are lazers and unlikely have any relation to the green lightnings in FF2 and this video. Still no idea how that "live performance" fits in the whole plot. Other guys found that the picture on a wall of the room with sleeping entities in FF2 is the same picture as in the unlisted video from FF2 description. The video ends with a photo of people living there, which suggests people were already living in the Backrooms before 1996 or at least were going to, so the decorations and furniture were brought there and aren't original parts of the Backrooms. Obviously something led to that whole section of Backrooms abandoned then. The hole in the wall is likely made by the car crash from the other side. But the hole in the floor remains a mistery to me. Maybe it's a result of "vertical expansion" mentioned in "Pitfalls", which is likely attempts to break into upper and lower levels.
what really blows my mind is that he makes this entire series so much more than just a found footage of something like "aaaa the person noclipped into the backrooms and now he's running away from an entity and then he dies". he tries to put much more interesting things in this series, and it's just really impressive. Keep it up Kane, you're doing an amazing job

Overflow, is cannonically "The Trauma Event" which lead to the series to happen. We do not know how it happened, or if it was Ivan's fault in the first place, but Overflow takes place on August 7, 1972, which is the same day the 1972 Solar Flare took place. Ivan, in his office, while doing something that isnt revealed yet, managed to cause the first Green Light's to appear, causing the solar flare. This, aslo caused the first mirroring. While it isn't revealed, it's belived the Green Light and Mirroring are the same force. Back to Overflow, while we don't know what the event was, thanks to the song "A Glimpse", we can assume Ivan saw A Glimpse of something that isnt revealed yet. After that glimpse,Ivan quickly informed his friends, where his friends didn't belive him, leading to "whatthefuckareyoutalkingabout", since the song had "ivan" at the beggining before being released to RUclips. Further proven by the same sun and pink vawe in the image, also seen in "Sailing, Kane Parsons cover", it caused him amnesia, specifically Post-Traumatic Amnesia, which lead to him often forgeting and stuff. Overflow was the key event that lead to the series. Ivan Beck, after seeing this propably decided to explore more of it, building a prototype to prove it wasn't some sort of wack dream. After that, the rest is history. Ivan Beck creates the threshold, but states the main purpose of this is "Residental" and "Warehousing", either using this as an excuse, or Ivan really did think the glimpse he saw could be profited. 6 tests are conducted and then Ivan Beck achives contact after the 6th test. But the consequences that come with it, was something Ivan couldn't have predicted.
We know that solar flares are able to distort the earths magnetic field, maybe in a similar way that ASYNC does with the electromagnetic distortion system, we also know that time is fucked up in the backrooms, so mabye the girl from found footage 2 went into the complex in 1995, came out in 1972 and told Ivan about the complex allowing him to create the threshold, allowing FF2 girl to enter in the first place, time loop sort of I think
This is my theory on the backrooms . Backrooms instead of being a indefinite set infinite hallways and rooms, backrooms itself might be sentient. If you look closely to the details, the backrooms even though it is able to duplicate whatever is in the real world but cant do with 100% accuracy. Just like when another person try to draw like a same person. But it's not repeating the same errors but it's improving. Like an ai art. It's able to convert anything that enters the backrooms into its substantial "energy source" or use its memories to improve. And from this video we can also conclude that whenever a tear in reality takes place. The backrooms not just absorbs that area but also tries to correct those tears in the real world but not with any accuracy eventually leading to much more fracture in reality and making more and more noclip. The backrooms is said to possess the ability of changing the structure and position of the rooms and it's ability to "crave of more knowledge on the real world" also makes that the back rooms itself is living and playing and toying with anyone who enters there. Like we are able to draw a doodle,animate it and it can only do whatever we want to.. Backrooms is just more than i thought of but i can say that backroom is "sentient"! And i also feel like these monsters are actually remanents of what is left of the victims of the backrooms
So lately I’ve been listening to the Kane pixels backrooms soundtrack on Apple Music and at first it just gave me fear, but I’ve realized that I can’t stop listening to it, and I started to love it, and everytime I listen to it I just start to love the backrooms even more and makes me want to watch more of the backrooms videos, and I just think kane pixels is doing a great job

I believe President Richard Nixon is talking about the war ending with the soviets so I looked and the time period this is taking place is in 1972 which is really weird considering this should take place in the future, unless it takes place in both times? and at the end it looks like the backrooms leaked into the real world again. So something tells me that we may wait a while for the next one but it for sure will debunk a ton of questions. I cannot seem to figure out the signature either, if anyone can figure it out. I might be reaching but the vibes im getting are, they opened the gate to the backrooms, looked around and found out there's monsters but didn't care , built storage places and living spaces inside the backrooms and continued to wall off areas they thought where not safe. Eventually the opening of the backrooms is equivalent to punching a hole into an ocean of infinity, so the backrooms begins to spill into our universe the longer the gate is open, eventually causing the fabric of things to break down and make ppl either fall into the backrooms entirely or for the real world to take on the creatures and features of the backrooms. That would make the " I remember " video make horrific sense It also makes the green energy we see at 1:12 make way more sense cause that happened in the found footage video where the room went green and zapped the person filming, which means when we watch this video we're seeing the US make buddy with Russia and peace ties while the backrooms begins to fully leak into our reality
Hearing the presidential speech at the start, it occurs to me that during a time of war with the U.S., if any international citizens suddenly disappeared into the Backrooms from that other warring country, the other country would absolutely think the U.S. was holding them hostage.
This could be a reference to how the backrooms was actually discovered, as the original test itself got a " overload " of systems, leading to the backrooms. This could be a log from the servers/device recording the activity, and this is when in spiked in result of the dimension, for the green spark is connection to the backrooms.

I must say again... there are lots of Half-Life troops in this Backrooms series like Async = Black Mesa, Backrooms = Xen and Survey Teams as well green lights that was in vein with Xen's portal. Now with this episode called overflow, i guess the next chapter could be a Resonance Cascade that causes The Backrooms Storm where Backrooms starts appears everywhere consuming everything while leaking in the real world
Berfore the video backrooms-first contact the portal caused an earthquake and started to take real objects to null zones. And the reason why in the obstruction you can hear “there is something there” i think its the green stuff and also the portal made the sky touching the clouds which allows it to pull in objects like cars, glass, houses, people.
this is just fucking impressive. this whole story, the lore, the ideas- and the fact that kane started producing this series at sixteen. this kid is genuinely going places. massive respect.
Some analysis: this video shows us that the green crackly stuff from FF2 is definitely related to Ivan's research (including KV31). The sky split in a similar way to I Remember, perhaps hinting at the backrooms being a reflection of reality. It shows us that the experiments go back before Prototype (1982). If the radio message is found to be after 1972, it would also mean that Ivan was aware of and perhaps intentionally looking for the time travel weirdness. My guess: every time one of these experiments 'overloads', it reflects a bit of reality into the backrooms (and maybe a bit of the backrooms into reality). Perhaps the yellow wallpaper area is literally a reflection of the metallic ball from Prototype. Edit: when I wrote this, the video description said 1972 but Kane edited it out. It's hard to say what implications it has 🤔

So assuming the speech is contemporaneous with the visuals, the actual year that this video takes place is *definitely* '72.
So the backrooms have existed since this experiment, but wasn’t utilized until Async in the late 80’s(? Can’t recall the earlier dates)? Imagine getting sucked into the backrooms BEFORE they were “fully constructed” what kind of warped mess “naturally” populated them then?
I'm not sure but 1:24 reminds me of the "I remember" video. This green stuff is probably the backrooms either teleporting a big chunk of our world into the backrooms or out, mirroring it and making it's pattern be present in the backrooms. We still don't know this but one theory I really like is that the backrooms knows the information of the real world but doesn't know how to put it together. This video is probably giving a lot of information but I can't make much out of it. The sound here 1:07 is the exact same as the end in ff2 where our protagonist makes contact with this green stuff. I'm really looking forward on knowing what this green stuff is.
Perhaps it's a type of life form, we cannot comprehend, anymore than it can comprehend us, hence the backrooms. It's trying to understand. Everything in that video is a clue eluding to something. I hope Kane never fully reveals what he is thinking this thing is and it's process. This is terrific, asking us to take this trip with him to figiure out what he already knows. It's brilliant what he's doing. One added note, the political strife between two governments diametrically opposed to each other, and with little tolerance or understanding could represent the backrooms situation and us. We see it for what it is on the surface, but it goes much deeper than that at which point comes in confusion as to understand each other.
You can hear glass breaking at 1:09 (too dum to use timestamps) which might mean that the anomaly could be breaking into the little hq room thing that is in the backrooms because it looks like a place to do paperwork that you saw at the end of this video. There seems to be a common theme in many popular media franchises--humans meddling with things they should leave alone. Portal & Halflife come to mind, but there are many, many more, such as The Expanse, Fallout, Tales From The Loop, and The Electric State. I think the reason this trope resonates so strongly with us is that we know that humans are messing with the Earth in irreversible ways.

The fact that they are adding detail of the green crack on FF2 also, the wall that person who noclipped into the backrooms, before the green cracks fill the room, you could see a glimpse of a wall moving, im guessing this was the same time that person in FF2 that expierienced it and it got into reality via that wall moving.
I think what might be happening is that girl from FF2 cracked back into reality. If you hear at the at 0:51, very faintly you can hear her as the reality crack begins
I think more film studios should make trailers in this style. A clip that doesn't present any footage from the actual film but creates an aura of mystery, intrigue or inquisitiveness which ultimately leads the viewer hooked and with many questions.

well one thing i noticed is the date of the video is like 10 years before they opened the backrooms (what i mean is that this video is from 1972 and the First Contact video is from 1988)
I'm guessing the person who got transported at the end of the 2nd found footage went back from past (1972) which highlights the green light glowing Which it makes kinda sense since we won't be able to see the found footage if it never went back from the real world
I have a theory, what if everytime some large area gets noclipped, like a city or building, the nearby area gets duplicated in its place so that nobody questions it, like if an apartment was next to a gas station and the apartment noclipped, the backrooms would duplicate the gas station, maybe that's what all the sky splits are?
but in one of kane pixel's unlisted videos, there's a car that gets noclipped and it dissapears from this reality and into the backrooms. But that is a very interesting theory...

What he does now is beyond incredible, imagine what could happen with a larger team and budget. I wasn’t specifically saying that Netflix should actually sign him to do an original show, but more so that I enjoy the series to much I would love to see it on a larger scale. I absolutely love the RUclips format though, it’s fantastic and honestly better than a TV show in many ways. It was more of just a thought. Sorry for writing an essay, it’s like 2 AM rn and my brain’s getting all woozy lol
While cool in concept, youtube is really the only place to make this kind of series. The backrooms doesnt have much to it so its better to make more short burst videos rather than 10-30 minute long episodes.
1:30 at the end, it seems that baseline reality is becoming more and more distorted because the sky appears to be mirrored, while at the beginning of the video it looks normal. coupled with the OVERLOAD thingy going off, i think shit is beginning to hit the fan for ASYNC because now those green reality fractures we saw in found footage #2 are now appearing in the real world
Does this create a paradox? The Green "Cracks" ( first seen in FF2) manifest in 1972(as seen on the Ivan Beck signed document at the end). This leads Async to construct the LPMDS and they discover the Backrooms. And by them discovering the Backrooms reality starts to break apart causing Cracks to appear in 1972. Repeat. TLDR: Async caused a time loop.
I think you may be right. After watching this, my mind instantly went to that last line of I Remember: "You have always been here." Here's my theory: the reason for all the issues with space and time that have come from the Backrooms are because they exist outside of time and space as their own dimension. When ASync opened that door and made first contact, it opened the Backrooms up to all of space and time. This would explain how those green cracks of light could appear in the past despite first contact being made years later, as well as other outside glitches we've seen like the commercial breaking through the Simpsons. By exposing the Backrooms to our world, the Backrooms is taking qualities of our world and attempting to replicate them but failing. We've seen this in the items and rooms within the Backrooms itself, but what if the Backrooms isn't just replicating items from our world? What if it's also trying to replicate processes as well, such as time moving forward and creating life? This might explain the time jumps experienced by those in the Backrooms, as well as why the camera from the first video jumped forward in time after it noclipped back into our reality from the Backrooms. The bacteria it creates could be an attempt at recreating real world bacterias and failing, or maybe even the Backrooms' attempt at creating humans with the resources it contains.

When Kane and Wendigoon did their RUclips collab, Kane mentioned that Ivan Beck was meant to be both the main protagonist of the overarching story AND the main antagonist. So far, he's turning out to be a very interesting character.
So this takes place in 1972, which is the earliest that we’ve gone in the timeline so far. The reason I find this important is we see a green flash at the end. Where else have we seen a green flash? In Found Footage #2. So the girl from that video got taken from the 90s-00s, all the way back to the *70s* because of this green energy. The fact that Peter was moved forwards in time in Instructional Video onto to be found later in Reunion supports the theory that the Backrooms doesn’t just mess with space, it messes with time. Super excited to see where this goes.
1972 is just when Ivan Beck signed off his approval for the project, it doesn't mean the shown footage is in 1972, it looks like it harks back to when it started, while simultaneously revealing its consequences
Another place we see not a green flash, but a green glow, is in the room on the other side of the pitfalls room, we still don't know what the guy that crossed the pitfalls saw in there. I certainly think that the green flash from this experiment in 72, what we saw on Found Footage #2 and the room on the other side of the pitfalls are connected in some way
i think that there might be something to do with with the backrooms expanding because of how at 1:23 you can see the bottom left corner of the sky isn't moving
It seemed like they were planning the Backrooms with something else big rather than using it as a storage. Also the interruption at the end might be the Backrooms getting worser and getting closer to our reality. I love where this series is going!
I think that the Universe collapsing into itself, and that's what we are seeing in these videos; the rifts in time, the fact that people can travel through time by going up or down in the backrooms seems all to lead to this conclusion, which is a really interesting story, and I wonder how it will end, will the last video be about the fall of multiple earths in the backrooms?

99% of comments: “your amazing Kane, keep going.” All jokes aside though Kane you are amazing and here’s what I think is going on here. Async tries to expand their gate, but instead they cause an insane incident where the complex completely devours async. The sky at the start of the video is visibly fine, where as at the end it’s twisted, as if to indicate it was “distorted”. The only thing I’m unsure of here is why the approval date is in 79. It’s also important to note that the green light is very similar to the one we see in the backroom exploration #2
I love how despite the backrooms mania dying kane still is consistently working on his backrooms stuff AND it remains successful. Dude has inspired me to learn blender and motivated me to actually work towards my aspirations of making short films
There's Backrooms lore (dwindling) and Kane's Backrooms (increasing in popularity). And it's simple: most Backrooms lore is a random grab bag of memes and pictures. It's eerie and mysterious but it doesn't have any innate humanity. No stakes. Humans love narrative, continuity, patterns, by givng Backrooms stuff a plot, and characters, he gets people invested.
Hello Kane, I've got a backrooms idea for you if you're interested, I understand if your not since you don't know me, let alone read this, but I thought that maybe there could be a group of people that ASync discover that have been surviving in the backrooms by finding an area that grows edible things like fruit, also created tools from their surroundings to build walls around areas to keep them safe, possibly could've been on some sort of bus tour and fell in the backrooms or something like that, I think that if this did happen, ASync would like to know how they lived their everyday lives surviving in a terrible place like the backrooms and seeing if it's inhabitable enough for their “storage” plan to begin, in my concept, the group could want to ask ASync to help them get out since they know about the "life form fellows" that lurk within the backrooms, but ASync instead of helping them, either keeps them in there or underground with them and experimented on due to the conditions they live in
His work is purely independent and based off of his own take on the backrooms. But you do have an interesting idea, and there are plenty of other backrooms creators that are both active and willing to take ideas. Unfortunately this was Kane's last backrooms video, a year and a half ago now. So even if he is willing to take on your idea, he simply isn't active enough with his backrooms content (since he has been working on the movie with a24). I like your idea though
In my opinion, this shows how the changes that happen in the backrooms (the green light) are now starting to actually affect our reality, our world that we live in, this very dimension. The backrooms, as in the ever-changing dimension that is the backrooms, are basically spilling over into our everyday lives. This was bound to happen sooner or later, as we could already see things from our real world spill over into the backrooms, so it was only a matter of time until the same thing happened the other way around. At 1:02, before we see the green light appear, you can see that the wall behind the board is not yellow wallpaper, it's not inside the backrooms. It's a room of the A-Sync facility and the green light is appearing, most likely changing it's layout, adding and/or removing things.... this is some scary sh*t. The fact that we can hear car horns honking at the end could also be a hint that even parts of our world outside of the A-Sync facility are already becoming affected, as well. Another thought of mine is that, since the cold-war conflict is being mentioned here, maybe the americans and the russians interacting/interfering with the backrooms around the same time was causing problems and rifts in the backrooms ... or maybe one of the two factions tried to weaponize them, which is an even scarier thought.
This setup to the storyline is exceptional, and reveals much about what’s to come. THEORY TIME⬇️: One thing I can’t theorize is the yellow intense pattern with the backrooms (looks like the threshold, but I don’t know the source.threshold in this vid that’s all 0:55 ) But I can theorize the green glow and audio. Like many are saying, it’s the same stuff the car victim and Madison (FF2 camera) encountered. This green stuff, is possibly a mutated version of bacteria.27647. This mutation also is the leading cause for the entities, due to both protagonists being caught by these bacterias. I know this because of the first victim leaving clues to his final resting area before he becomes an entity. It’s all connected…but why? There’s no date in the description, but the approval papers do provide a date (8/2/72), which leads me to say this experiment could’ve occurred before “Prototype.” Who knows? The man himself shall eventually tell.
I would assume 1972 since that’s when the audio is from. The US and Soviet Union settled the lend-lease debt from WW2 in 1972. First payments were then sent in 1973

In ff2, at the end, the green cracks show before the signal turns off, and in this one, the green cracks kinda turn hellow and open the backrooms. This is show that whenever an overflow happens, stuff gets transported to the backrooms?

Turns out "something went wrong" way back in 1972, so all the story might be the consequences of the initial mistake and Ivan B desperately trying to fix the things he broke.
It's hard to say what Ivan's intentions are with the backrooms but something is definitely going on with him. Something really interesting is the song that was used for the prototype video is called "Congratulations, Ivan". Did he get what he wanted? Is that a sarcastic congratulations? Intriguing...
Or something went wrong at some more recent point that affected the place in the video back in 1972.
@@sketchups4672 It was only a fragment used there. I believe Kane holds the full track for the ending scene/titles. It doesn't sound sarcastic or otherwise "off" to me, rather glorifying and calming, which might mean the intentions were really good, yet the road was long and not straightforward. Still not sure what he achieved at the end, it's unlikely people will use the Backrooms, though FF2 might suggest at least some parts were occupied as of 1996 (the white rooms visible thru keyhole). Yet it was still kept in secret for some reason as the girl behind the camera didn't recognize the place. Amazing track, anyway.
@@AntonOliinyk @AntonOliinyk I think async as a whole organisation have good intentions, and while I don't think there will be a "bad guy", I am open the idea someone knows or is doing a little more than what is shown. We've already seen the company is willing to suppress incidents to achieve their goal so it doesn't seem too farfetched. As for Ivan however, only time will tell, but he is clearly going to be one of the main characters throughout this series.
Another thing that you may find interesting is on kane's music channel he has a 12 minute composition titled "IVN" (probably for Ivan) the track itself is rather ominous and I'd describe the music as feeling "unsure". It's accompanied by the thumbnail of a very strange figure surrounded by similar green lights. It does make me wonder what is in store for Ivan to have a 12 minute ominous composition named after him.
Also the thumbnail almost reminds me of a player entering creative mode and having godlike powers, and since we've already seen that the green light seems to be related to the backrooms changing, it may not be as wild as I first thought. it would be great to have your thoughts on this?

@@sketchups4672 The IVN track thumbnail is a blurred frame from the video "IVN Live Performance ft. Anthony Dawkins (Found Footage) (REAL)", a 14s video of some weird concert with a man performing in front of lazer lights and Anthony Dawkins (or Ivan Beck?) portrait slowly appearing on the screen above him with people cheering about it. So the green lights are lazers and unlikely have any relation to the green lightnings in FF2 and this video. Still no idea how that "live performance" fits in the whole plot.
Other guys found that the picture on a wall of the room with sleeping entities in FF2 is the same picture as in the unlisted video from FF2 description. The video ends with a photo of people living there, which suggests people were already living in the Backrooms before 1996 or at least were going to, so the decorations and furniture were brought there and aren't original parts of the Backrooms. Obviously something led to that whole section of Backrooms abandoned then.
The hole in the wall is likely made by the car crash from the other side. But the hole in the floor remains a mistery to me. Maybe it's a result of "vertical expansion" mentioned in "Pitfalls", which is likely attempts to break into upper and lower levels.
what really blows my mind is that he makes this entire series so much more than just a found footage of something like "aaaa the person noclipped into the backrooms and now he's running away from an entity and then he dies". he tries to put much more interesting things in this series, and it's just really impressive. Using speaker to hear audio is good tactic
Overflow, is cannonically "The Trauma Event" which lead to the series to happen. We do not know how it happened, or if it was Ivan's fault in the first place, but Overflow takes place on August 7, 1972, which is the same day the 1972 Solar Flare took place. Ivan, in his office, while doing something that isnt revealed yet, managed to cause the first Green Light's to appear, causing the solar flare. This, aslo caused the first mirroring. While it isn't revealed, it's belived the Green Light and Mirroring are the same force. Back to Overflow, while we don't know what the event was, thanks to the song "A Glimpse", we can assume Ivan saw A Glimpse of something that isnt revealed yet. After that glimpse,Ivan quickly informed his friends, where his friends didn't belive him, leading to "whatthefuckareyoutalkingabout", since the song had "ivan" at the beggining before being released to RUclips. Further proven by the same sun and pink vawe in the image, also seen in "Sailing, Kane Parsons cover", it caused him amnesia, specifically Post-Traumatic Amnesia, which lead to him often forgeting and stuff. Overflow was the key event that lead to the series. Ivan Beck, after seeing this propably decided to explore more of it, building a prototype to prove it wasn't some sort of wack dream. After that, the rest is history. Ivan Beck creates the threshold, but states the main purpose of this is "Residental" and "Warehousing", either using this as an excuse, or Ivan really did think the glimpse he saw could be profited. 6 tests are conducted and then Ivan Beck achives contact after the 6th test. But the consequences that come with it, was something Ivan couldn't have predicted.
We know that solar flares are able to distort the earths magnetic field, maybe in a similar way that ASYNC does with the electromagnetic distortion system, we also know that time is fucked up in the backrooms, so mabye the girl from found footage 2 went into the complex in 1995, came out in 1972 and told Ivan about the complex allowing him to create the threshold, allowing FF2 girl to enter in the first place, time loop sort of I think
This is my theory on the backrooms
. Backrooms instead of being a indefinite set infinite hallways and rooms, backrooms itself might be sentient.
If you look closely to the details, the backrooms even though it is able to duplicate whatever is in the real world but cant do with 100% accuracy.
Just like when another person try to draw like a same person. But it's not repeating the same errors but it's improving. Like an ai art. It's able to convert anything that enters the backrooms into its substantial "energy source" or use its memories to improve.
And from this video we can also conclude that whenever a tear in reality takes place. The backrooms not just absorbs that area but also tries to correct those tears in the real world but not with any accuracy eventually leading to much more fracture in reality and making more and more noclip.
The backrooms is said to possess the ability of changing the structure and position of the rooms and it's ability to "crave of more knowledge on the real world" also makes that the back rooms itself is living and playing and toying with anyone who enters there. Like we are able to draw a doodle,animate it and it can only do whatever we want to.. Backrooms is just more than i thought of but i can say that backroom is "sentient"! And i also feel like these monsters are actually remanents of what is left of the victims of the backrooms

I believe President Richard Nixon is talking about the war ending with the soviets so I looked and the time period this is taking place is in 1972 which is really weird considering this should take place in the future, unless it takes place in both times? and at the end it looks like the backrooms leaked into the real world again. I might be reaching but the vibes im getting are, they opened the gate to the backrooms, looked around and found out there's monsters but didn't care , built storage places and living spaces inside the backrooms and continued to wall off areas they thought where not safe.
Eventually the opening of the backrooms is equivalent to punching a hole into an ocean of infinity, so the backrooms begins to spill into our universe the longer the gate is open, eventually causing the fabric of things to break down and make ppl either fall into the backrooms entirely or for the real world to take on the creatures and features of the backrooms.
That would make the " I remember " video make horrific sense

I must say again... there are lots of Half-Life troops in this Backrooms series like Async = Black Mesa, Backrooms = Xen and Survey Teams as well green lights that was in vein with Xen's portal. Some analysis: this video shows us that the green crackly stuff from FF2 is definitely related to Ivan's research (including KV31). The sky split in a similar way to I Remember, perhaps hinting at the backrooms being a reflection of reality. It shows us that the experiments go back before Prototype (1982). If the radio message is found to be after 1972, it would also mean that Ivan was aware of and perhaps intentionally looking for the time travel weirdness.
My guess: every time one of these experiments 'overloads', it reflects a bit of reality into the backrooms (and maybe a bit of the backrooms into reality). Perhaps the yellow wallpaper area is literally a reflection of the metallic ball from Prototype.
Edit: when I wrote this, the video description said 1972 but Kane edited it out. It's hard to say what implications it has 🤔

So assuming the speech is contemporaneous with the visuals, the actual year that this video takes place is *definitely* '72.

I'm not sure but 1:24 reminds me of the "I remember" video. This green stuff is probably the backrooms either teleporting a big chunk of our world into the backrooms or out, mirroring it and making it's pattern be present in the backrooms. We still don't know this but one theory I really like is that the backrooms knows the information of the real world but doesn't know how to put it together. This video is probably giving a lot of information but I can't make much out of it. The sound here 1:07 is the exact same as the end in ff2 where our protagonist makes contact with this green stuff. I'm really looking forward on knowing what this green stuff is.

Perhaps it's a type of life form, we cannot comprehend, anymore than it can comprehend us, hence the backrooms. It's trying to understand. Everything in that video is a clue eluding to something. I hope Kane never fully reveals what he is thinking this thing is and it's process. This is terrific, asking us to take this trip with him to figiure out what he already knows. It's brilliant what he's doing. One added note, the political strife between two governments diametrically opposed to each other, and with little tolerance or understanding could represent the backrooms situation and us. We see it for what it is on the surface, but it goes much deeper than that at which point comes in confusion as to understand each other.
You can hear glass breaking at 1:09 (too dum to use timestamps) which might mean that the anomaly could be breaking into the little hq room thing that is in the backrooms because it looks like a place to do paperwork that you saw at the end of this video.

The fact that they are adding detail of the green crack on FF2 also, the wall that person who noclipped into the backrooms, before the green cracks fill the room, you could see a glimpse of a wall moving, im guessing this was the same time that person in FF2 that expierienced it and it got into reality via that wall moving.

I think more film studios should make trailers in this style. A clip that doesn't present any footage from the actual film but creates an aura of mystery, intrigue or inquisitiveness which ultimately leads the viewer hooked and with many questions.

I'm guessing the person who got transported at the end of the 2nd found footage went back from past (1972) which highlights the green light glowing

I have a theory, what if everytime some large area gets noclipped, like a city or building, the nearby area gets duplicated in its place so that nobody questions it, like if an apartment was next to a gas station and the apartment noclipped, the backrooms would duplicate the gas station, maybe that's what all the sky splits are?

1:30 at the end, it seems that baseline reality is becoming more and more distorted because the sky appears to be mirrored, while at the beginning of the video it looks normal. coupled with the OVERLOAD thingy going off, i think shit is beginning to hit the fan for ASYNC because now those green reality fractures we saw in found footage #2 are now appearing in the real world
Does this create a paradox? The Green "Cracks" ( first seen in FF2) manifest in 1972(as seen on the Ivan Beck signed document at the end). This leads Async to construct the LPMDS and they discover the Backrooms. And by them discovering the Backrooms reality starts to break apart causing Cracks to appear in 1972. Repeat.

I think you may be right. After watching this, my mind instantly went to that last line of I Remember: "You have always been here."
Here's my theory: the reason for all the issues with space and time that have come from the Backrooms are because they exist outside of time and space as their own dimension. When ASync opened that door and made first contact, it opened the Backrooms up to all of space and time. This would explain how those green cracks of light could appear in the past despite first contact being made years later, as well as other outside glitches we've seen like the commercial breaking through the Simpsons. By exposing the Backrooms to our world, the Backrooms is taking qualities of our world and attempting to replicate them but failing. We've seen this in the items and rooms within the Backrooms itself, but what if the Backrooms isn't just replicating items from our world? What if it's also trying to replicate processes as well, such as time moving forward and creating life? This might explain the time jumps experienced by those in the Backrooms, as well as why the camera from the first video jumped forward in time after it noclipped back into our reality from the Backrooms. The bacteria it creates could be an attempt at recreating real world bacterias and failing, or maybe even the Backrooms' attempt at creating humans with the resources it contains.
Everything, from the visuals to the sound design, and the cryptic yet compelling narrative, is through the roof.

When Kane and Wendigoon did their RUclips collab, Kane mentioned that Ivan Beck was meant to be both the main protagonist of the overarching story AND the main antagonist.
So far, he's turning out to be a very interesting character.

So this takes place in 1972, which is the earliest that we’ve gone in the timeline so far. The reason I find this important is we see a green flash at the end.
Where else have we seen a green flash? In Found Footage #2. So the girl from that video got taken from the 90s-00s, all the way back to the *70s* because of this green energy.
The fact that Peter was moved forwards in time in Instructional Video onto to be found later in Reunion supports the theory that the Backrooms doesn’t just mess with space, it messes with time. Super excited to see where this goes.

1972 is just when Ivan Beck signed off his approval for the project, it doesn't mean the shown footage is in 1972, it looks like it harks back to when it started, while simultaneously revealing its consequences

Another place we see not a green flash, but a green glow, is in the room on the other side of the pitfalls room, we still don't know what the guy that crossed the pitfalls saw in there.
I certainly think that the green flash from this experiment in 72, what we saw on Found Footage #2 and the room on the other side of the pitfalls are connected in some way

I think that the Universe collapsing into itself, and that's what we are seeing in these videos; the rifts in time, the fact that people can travel through time by going up or down in the backrooms seems all to lead to this conclusion, which is a really interesting story, and I wonder how it will end, will the last video be about the fall of multiple earths in the backrooms?

All jokes aside though Kane you are amazing and here’s what I think is going on here.
Async tries to expand their gate, but instead they cause an insane incident where the complex completely devours async. The sky at the start of the video is visibly fine, where as at the end it’s twisted, as if to indicate it was “distorted”. The only thing I’m unsure of here is why the approval date is in 79. It’s also important to note that the green light is very similar to the one we see in the backroom exploration #2

It's eerie and mysterious but it doesn't have any innate humanity. No stakes. Humans love narrative, continuity, patterns, by givng Backrooms stuff a plot, and characters, he gets people invested.
Hello Kane, I've got a backrooms idea for you if you're interested, I understand if your not since you don't know me, let alone read this, but I thought that maybe there could be a group of people that ASync discover that have been surviving in the backrooms by finding an area that grows edible things like fruit, also created tools from their surroundings to build walls around areas to keep them safe, possibly could've been on some sort of bus tour and fell in the backrooms or something like that, I think that if this did happen, ASync would like to know how they lived their everyday lives surviving in a terrible place like the backrooms and seeing if it's inhabitable enough for their “storage” plan to begin, in my concept, the group could want to ask ASync to help them get out since they know about the "life form fellows" that lurk within the backrooms, but ASync instead of helping them, either keeps them in there or underground with them and
experimented on due to the conditions they live

His work is purely independent and based off of his own take on the backrooms. But you do have an interesting idea, and there are plenty of other backrooms creators that are both active and willing to take ideas. Unfortunately this was Kane's last backrooms video, a year and a half ago now. So even if he is willing to take on your idea, he simply isn't active enough with his backrooms content (since he has been working on the movie with a24). I like your idea though

Literally a 11/10 every time, I'm loving seeing where this story is going
In my opinion, this shows how the changes that happen in the backrooms (the green light) are now starting to actually affect our reality, our world that we live in, this very dimension.
The backrooms, as in the ever-changing dimension that is the backrooms, are basically spilling over into our everyday lives.
This was bound to happen sooner or later, as we could already see things from our real world spill over into the backrooms, so it was only a matter of time until the same thing happened the other way around.
At 1:02, before we see the green light appear, you can see that the wall behind the board is not yellow wallpaper, it's not inside the backrooms. It's a room of the A-Sync facility and the green light is appearing, most likely changing it's layout, adding and/or removing things....
this is some scary sh*t. The fact that we can hear car horns honking at the end could also be a hint that even parts of our world outside of the A-Sync facility are already becoming affected, as well.
Another thought of mine is that, since the cold-war conflict is being mentioned here, maybe the americans and the russians interacting/interfering with the backrooms around the same time was causing problems and rifts in the backrooms ... or maybe one of the two factions tried to weaponize them, which is an even scarier thought.

This setup to the storyline is exceptional, and reveals much about what’s to come. THEORY TIME⬇️:
One thing I can’t theorize is the yellow intense pattern with the backrooms (looks like the threshold, but I don’t know the source.threshold in this vid that’s all 0:55 )
But I can theorize the green glow and audio. Like many are saying, it’s the same stuff the car victim and Madison (FF2 camera) encountered. This green stuff, is possibly a mutated version of bacteria.27647. This mutation also is the leading cause for the entities, due to both protagonists being caught by these bacterias. I know this because of the first victim leaving clues to his final resting area before he becomes an entity.
It’s all connected…but why?
There’s no date in the description, but the approval papers do provide a date (8/2/72), which leads me to say this experiment could’ve occurred before “Prototype.” Who knows? The man himself shall eventually tell.
