It was an amazing story, but the protagonist never had to deal with the death of Nolan? Or even mentioned him after dying? They called his story speculative, but a fellow worker of World of Weird literally died/ disappeared doing the story bc they were eaten by the creature!
I'm so sick and tired of main characters getting the snuff.

Well Doc you and CC hit another Home Run! Although I still don’t know what the reason was for allowing him to get a “pass” from just being shredded? And even more so, how was he alone able to hear the sea creatures call? And why did it have that effect on him? I was leaning towards him having some kind of similar/shared DNA traits like in the movie “Splash”, when Tom Hanks’ character was able to breathe underwater. But in the end that didn’t add up. It was fairly clear that there was a very dedicated cult following & worshiping to the fishman, and he seemed to be able to get humans to do pretty much anything he wanted them to. Such as not being too tough to tear into pieces when he wanted to release some aggression. We all know that feeling, when you just want to tear someone’s arms off. Sure, but he was able to get them to freeze and then have his way. Lol, so what did I miss? Why was he allowed to not be torn to pieces or eaten but his poor partner was?
It doesn’t matter I suppose, the story was great. Classic Corpse Child work. Definitely highest Praise goes out to them! And to our esteemed Dr Creepen I thank you for such a wonderful and long story, which when they come from a worthy author is absolutely a joy to listen to. Job well done you two! And I’ll be awaiting your next upload with bells on!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sorry to hear you haven't been well! I really hope things are getting better for you and yours in every way. I have to admit, Max mentioned the sound was either a mating call, or a dinner bell more than once. So, when he didn't get eaten, I began to wonder if the beasty was female? It must be very difficult to find a date that far off shore, especially if your a gal with a fin down her back. Oh well, just a stray thought.

But I think what's going on is the man who is the main character in the story actually has something to do with the fish people.
Maybe we'll find out in a later story that he was adopted and that's why he could hear the words in the strange language! Which is why the fish person didn't eat him.
Maybe the women were mad at him because he blood would alow him to be more important then the women in the cult.
Maybe he is the next Shaman of the area without working as hard as they did.... so jealousy!
But I like horror stories and that's what I would do for the next one
How did he "still have his camera" when he woke up after getting trodden on when the police had taken it from him days earler??
Dr Creepen, your voice is liquid gold. Stellar narration, as always! ❤ CC's story seems to deviate a bit though from the usual anxiety-riddled, dynamic tales that tap into humanity's collective fears. Why are so many stories lately told from the viewpoint of a passive-aggressive, somewhat cowardly protagonist making snap decisions about as nonsensical as the word salad coming out of J. Briben's mouth on the daily??? Sorry, I am American but obviously never miss the chance to call out our perfideous cheater, er, I mean leader.
Doc. Can i make an observation that i'm sure will be felt by most, a 24 hour stream of your works. I would listen more than the others.

Damn lackluster ending imo. Just when things get really interesting the depth just stops and gets comically unrealistic. Just my two cents though, 3/4ths great story but sputters out at the end with no satisfying conclusion.
Removing the "Sim Card" from a phone renders it useless for mobile service!!! The "Memory Card" and The Sim Card are 2 completely different things!!! They can work without a memory card but Can NOT work without a Sim Card!!! Thats what carries your service through the service provider!!! Smh....
You can still save things like limited pictures and contacts to a SIMS to make phone transfers easy. So is still plausible

The story had interesting ideas but really suffered from subpar characters and dialoque bordering on insufferable especially when it came to the police encounter. I hate the misunderstanding trope where the accused, for some unknown reason, simply seems unable or refuses to explain themselves clearly from the outset, leading to confusion and suspicioun from others. Had to fast-forward through that part. Just a stupid main character overall with an IQ so low it would disqualify them from driving.
The last like 15 minutes ruined any good from what came before it.
