Hi! Great question... When you're trying to figure out what the stem should be, think about what will help to make your life easier. In this case, two digits will be helpful. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 (12 and 13 wouldn't have a leaf)... If we tried to make the stem 1, all the leaves would be with that stem and if we tried to make the stem 3 digits, there would be too many stems... (from 112 all the way to 160). Hope that makes sense!
